Muse Preview Doesn't Match Browser Preview

I have a vertical rectangle on my pages (custom menu on top) that appears appropriately when I preview the pages in Muse. However, when I preview the site in a browser the rectangle cuts off halfway down on 2 of the 3 pages. I've grouped the elements, recreated the rectangle, copied/pasted from the page that is working ... what should I do next?

Hard to say. When I follow your instructions everything l looks the same. I am using PS CS4 extended.
My Color settings look like yours except for:
Settings: North American General Purpose 2
RGB: Preserve Embedded Profiles
Intent: Relative Colorimetric

Image doesn't match when previewed or exported

Ok, so I have just recently upgraded to the latest version of FCP studio and have been having the weirdest problem with it.
I'm working on a project with two layers of video (a full-screen image with a small box insert. The insert video plays fine but in five spots (out of an eight-minute-long video) the full screen image doesn't play the clip that's put in there.
I've double clicked the clips to verify that they're correct and they look fine on the preview monitor. I tried going in and finding the original shots and replacing them but they are still showing up as the incorrect shots in the sequence monitor. I tried going in to the render files in the document folder and deleting and re-rendering. The problem still re-occurred. I then took off the insert for those clips, rendered, and they looked fine but then when I exported to Quicktime then the wrong images re-appeared in the exported file.
Does anyone have any ideas of what may be going on here, how to fix it, and/or a good work-around?

I wonder if this has anything to do with the MacBook Pro problems?

That said, I'm not sure I'd run the 1.1 update if you hadn't run the 1.0, there were so many problems with the 1.0...
Are you using filters, or just resizing the overlaid video track?

Pixel Preview doesn't match exported PNG

I use Illustrator CS4 for icon design, so Pixel Preview is a pretty important feature for me. Unfortunately, I just found out (the hard way) that Pixel Preview isn't accurate - it doesn't show you exactly what you'll get when you export a PNG via Save for Web and Devices.
Here's an example from my current project that shows the problem (enlarged 4x):

Look at the center of the second image: See that dark gray line bleeding from the light gray circle into the black area? Now look at the third image: The line isn't there.
(Please don't fixate on this one example. Since I noticed the problem, I've found inconsistencies all over the place. This one was just the easiest to see.)
If I can't count on the absolute, pixel-for-pixel accuracy of Pixel Preview, then this feature becomes worse than useless in my work, because it actually misleads me into making small tweaks that make the final output look worse.
If anyone knows of a workaround (or a setting that turns on "accurate mode"), I'd love to hear about it.

I can't state this definitively, but the inconsistency seems to happen with gradient fills. (The light gray semicircle in the example in my original post has a gradient fill with a pretty abrupt transition from light to dark.) Maybe the issue is specific to gradients?

OS X's icon preview doesn't match JPEG

Hi all,
I have a few photos that were passed to me. In the icon preview, they were the original photos. But when I opened them in Preview or iPhoto, they were the Photoshopped versions.
Anyone know what's going on? And how to extract the icon previews?

But when I Get Info on the JPEG, the icon shown is for the modified image.
Additional info that I stumbled upon:
When resizing the icon preview in Finder, after a certain (larger) size, the icons would change to the modified versions. Shrinking the icons would bring back the original unmodified versions.
Really strange behaviour...

Bridge preview does not match thumbnails

We've just updated the OS, and had to re-install Bridge and Photoshop (CS4). Unfortunately, the preview doesn't match the thumbnail in Bridge, nor does it match the file when I open it in Photoshop. As far as I am aware, they are both set to the same color space. I have also toggled the "Apply auto tone adjustments" box on and off in preferences, and it seems to make no difference.
This seems to be a new problem that has only occured since upgrading the OS.

Have you already tried to use the purge cache option? Go to the menu tools /
cache/ purge cache for folder and see if it solves your problem.

Browser preview stopped showing design update

I am new to Dreamweaver, and whenever I make changes to the
page, I will preview the changes using browser preview. After
making several previews back and forth, my browser suddenly stopped
displaying the latest design updates. I have done every suggestion
mentioned about resetting, & clearing caches in my browser, but
i don't see the latest design update I did. In dreamweaver design
view, I can see the image I added, but when viewed in the browser,
what I see is the design prior to the addition of the new image.
What else can I do to correct this? When I use a different browser,
I see the new design.

Also make sure that you are looking at localhost and not
remote site. I do
this sometimes and get the same result.

My browser (and preview) doesn't show images in Muse...

My browser (and preview) is not able to show images hosted on my local server, however when I access those HTML files directly it works; It seems that something is blocking HTTP traffic from my Mac. Please help me find the root cause. Thank you! I am wasting hours on this.

I've been looking online and others seem to have similar issues but i haven't found any solutions.

Muse CC 2014 - Does not update properly changes on websites in preview and browser preview

Hi, I am working in a project on Muse CC 2014 and everything in the designer view works pretty well, but when I make change to colors, fonts, menus, etc and click preview, I cant see my changes, instead I saw old version of my project, the same happens on the browser preview, I need help cause I have to get this done today. Thank you.

We purchased CC for teams and upgraded all workers to InDesign CC 2014.2 in March. Because I installed using a package - rather than individually - quite a few plug-ins were not working. This week, I uninstalled InDesign CC 2014.2 on everyone's machine and individually installed InDesign, from the Creative Cloud menu. However, instead of installing the expected InDesign CC 2014.2, it installed InDesign CC 2014. As stated above, "It doesn't even show up that the updates are available, it simply says "up to date"". Obviously this is not true - since we just had 2014.2 last week.
Can someone please let me know why the new install would have regressed to a previous version - and how I might be able to get the current version back?

Ftp response timeout / browser preview doesn't work

Good evening,
today i tried to update my website. Only problem, when i displayed the browser preview some of the elements simply wouldn'T show up that did in earlier version of use. I never had any problems in this direction so i continued with my workflow. When i started to upload my images via an ftp client i experience a problem as well that might be connected to the first one. after some image were uploaded i got the error that "FTP response timeout" so i tried it again later but with the same result. i can skip the images but it takes just too much time and simply doesn't work as intended. Do you guys have an idea what the solution for my problem might be?
windows 7 muse 2014.2 64bit
internet is working all right
the problem occurs when i try the browser preview as well so it'S rather connected to muse than my ftp client
i don't have any missing elemts and all links are up to date

I'm trying to e-mail music scores and audios, but I receive an error message saying Preview doesn't recognize the file format, regardless whether I use .mus, .pdf, or .mp3. I haven't come across Preview or this problem before. Any suggestions?

Firstly, your country is detemined by several factors, including your phone's regional settings, your SIM card and your NokiaAccount settings, if you used this phone whilst abroad then you may need to check that your regional and account settings are up to date since you have arrived in Canada.
For services like Gigs, you should also ensure that the MixRadio app has access to your phone's GPS location as well as the main location being on in the phone settings. To check this, as well as Location being turned on in the phone settings, in MixRadio itself go to Settings>Location>On:
The concern with favourites may also be related to location, if the music from certain artists is available in Canada but not where the service might think you are, availability of content may vary from region to region.
If all settings in both the phone, your Nokia Account and the MixRadio app are correct, we may have to investigate deeper.
It is impossible to comment on your camera without seeing it, you cold have the phone checked by Nokia Care locally, but of course if it was supplied in Europe it will be covered by the European Limited Warranty which is not valid in Canada.

Spry email confirmation works in browser preview but not on line

Hi
I've got a problem using spry email confirmation.
It's the usual enter email, then confirm email.
When I preview it on my browser from the local site on my hard drive, it works fine, however when I put the files up onto my web hosting, I get the following problem.
Next to the confirm text field, it shows the two messages which are normally reserved for not matching emails, or having not entered an email. This happens even before I put the cursor in the box.

Managed to sort it.
My mistake. Made changes to the html file and uploaded only that to the web.
There had been changes to the assets, and i hadn't uploaded them!
I did that and now all is fine

Formatting errors in Browser Preview and crashing during FTP Upload

Hey Y'all!
I have two errors that I cannot seem to fix.
1. The Browser Preview of my site does not match the design in the Design section. There is added blank space between elements when previewing in the browser. There are no elements of this page that are Footer Items and I've tried resetting the spacing in various ways to align everything as it is seen.
2. I thought that maybe the Browser Preview was the problem, and that my site would be fine once I uploaded it. Unfortunately, Muse stops responding on the same element during multiple upload attempts to my FTP Host (GoDaddy). I've tried reorganizing pages in my Plan environment, deleting all files on GoDaddy and uploading the entire file, uploading only modified files after a crash, and deleting/replacing/and relinking the asset in question. I've deleted two other assets that froze the upload earlier, thinking that they were the problem (scroll effects on Edge Animate files), but now it is freezing on a simple .png file.
I've had this screen for 15 minutes, now, with a spinning pinwheel. It is my 5th failed attempt in the past week to upload my site.
Any information about potential fixes would be greatly appreciated. I'm hoping that I'm overlooking something simple.

Help - delay when previewing oam-file in browser

Hi,
I have created a drag-and-drop exercise in Edge Animate. I've then placed the OAM-file in Muse, but when I select "preview page in browser", my OAM-file has a delay - I can't drag and drop the objects until about 4 seconds has passed. The drag-and-drop function loads instant if i preview it in the browser from Edge Animate or from the Muse Preview-mode. Can I fix this delay in someway, or what causes it?

Ask in the right place and you might get an answer, in this case a forum specific to your browser (which you don't even mention, I'm pretty certain that every browser has a different way of doing things like that if they do it at all).

Pasted lightboxes do not show when uploaded but do on browser preview

I created the lightbox display on the first page and then as i worked from page to page i would paste the original lightbox to the new page and replace the images and the captions but when i upload the site it doesn't show the lightboxes on the pages that i pasted the lightbox into it is just blank but the headers and footers are ok. The lightbox shows in the browser preview with all the images and captions.
all the images are there in the assets folder

Search the knowledge base for NET Red X and try out the solutions there. If you are using .NET 2005 make sure to focus on the ones for it first. It is usually either a web.config setting or not having the asp_client folder in the correct place.
