MUSE: psd rollover buttons shake / wobble in Internet Explorer 7

Hi Guys
I'm developing a service directory website. It was working fine and then for some reason I've noticed the rollover buttons (psd files created in photoshop) are suddenly not working when viewed with Internet Explorer 6 or 7. Yes I know these are achaeic web browsers and not up to web standard and it's shocking that they're still used in a corporate setting; but for various other reason most NHS computers are stagnated in having to use these browsers by default. Much of our site traffic is from NHS computers and so rather than just encouraging people to have a second modern broswer, we'd really like to make the site work with these older browsers.

The buttons work fine on all modern browsers and so you'll only see the problem in Internet Explorer 6 or 7. In these browsers some (not all) of the rollover buttons on the 'map' on the right are gently shaking and no longer clickable. This problem didn't exist a few weeks ago; seemed to happen possibly after I did a recent MUSE up-date but otherwise I cannot figure out at all why it suddenly occured?? Any tips???? I've even tried rebuilding a whole new site but again, rollover buttons created as psd files in photoshop seem to do this odd behaviour sometimes, and other times when I create a button it doesnt do it????

PSD Rollover Button with image in front stops button from changing state

I have a wide PSD button that changes state when rolled over. I would like to place a PNG image with transparency in some areas over the top of it so that the rollover button shows through the transparent areas of the PNG.
How can you get it to do the rollover effect when the user mouses over the bit of the button that the image is in front of? Is ther a way of making the PNG 'invisible' to the mouse?
I know I could redesign the button so that it includes the image but I'm trying to keep file sizes and load times to a minimum, I use this button a lot on my website with a different on each, and having that number of individual buttons would result in a bloated, slow-loading website.

Thanks for your reply. I was able to achieve the effect I wanted by having the PNG and the PSD Button with the same link and then grouping them. This means I can mouse over the PNG and still get the PSD rollover effect, which is perfect.
However I also have another similar problem. I have some different PSD Rollover Buttons which have some text in front of them (basically it's the button label). On some of these buttons when you roll over the text it prevents the rollover state of the button, and on other buttons the rollover effect occurs as it should, and there doesn't appear to be any consistency about which does what. Grouping or ungrouping doesn't appear to make a difference. Can you help?

What's the URL of the page? Where is the site hosted (Adobe Business Catalyst or elsewhere)? How were the files uploaded to the server (Publish, FTP Upload from within Muse, external FTP client)?

Export to Excel button only launches in Internet Explorer window

Hi Experts - A subset users that are experiencing issues with the option to Export to Excel via Web Analyzer on 7.0. For others, including myself it works just fine.
When they click the Export to Excel option after running a query, it only opens in an Internet Explorer window (no Excel options to manipulate data) and does not give them the typical MS Excel pop-up window (like I get) to OPEN or SAVE in Excel format.
Thinking this would be an MS Excel or Internet Explorer setting somewhere, but don't know where to find it....
Any help is appreciated!

I think that you're right, the problem doesn't seem to come from anything in SAP servers (otherwise no user would be able to make it work right).
If I understand well, you want to open an Excel window when selecting "export to Excel" option, not having the table opened in IE with an Excel tab. Am I right ?
If it's the case, I think that this should work :
In windows explorer, open tools -> folder options
Tab "file type"
find xls extension, and click "advanced" button
uncheck "browse in the same window" button
I'm using windows XP, therefore I can't guarantee that you'll find the same menus with another OS. Furthermore, I'm using a french OS, so my translations might differ slightly from what you'll actually have on screen. The result is reflected in the following registry key : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Excel.Sheet.8
(this could be a different key, depending on the MS Office version installed on your computer)
You should now have a DWORD value BrowserFlags = 8
If you have a helpdesk department in your company, that handles software installations, I guess that they should handle this problem (by broadcasting the change in registry ?). But if you're a small company, where everyone has the rights to change such settings, this method will be OK.

How to install button on users browser (Internet Explorer)

Hello All,
I want to implement button installer in java so that users can use the utility that i want to provide by clicking the button that appeared on his/her browser (like after installing yahoo toolbar the menu appeared on browser).
I developed web project and i want to provide link on my website and after clicking on it user gets the wizard to download the utility after finishing the install process.I want the button to appear on users browser and after that when user click on that button then i want to execute my project that developed already.

Make sure that you allow pages to choose their colors and that you haven't enabled High Contrast in the Accessibility settings.

You may take the following steps to remove Internet Explorer 8 and Internet Explorer 8 add-ons:

Open Internet Explorer by clicking the

Use OS language for Internet Explorer 11

Hi!
I'm using MDT 2012 Update 1 to build a Windows 7 image and I want to add Internet Explorer 11, the problem is I want it to take the language of the OS.
It is installed by using WSUS during the task sequence and I added the language pack in it but it keeps IE in English. Is there a way for that?

Open Internet Explorer by clicking the Start button , and then clicking Internet Explorer.
Click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
Click the General tab, and then click Languages.
In the Language Preference dialog box, click Add.
In the Add Language dialog box, select a language from the list, and then click OK.
Repeat steps 4 and 5 until you have added all of the languages you want to use.
Click OK twice.

Rollover images in Dreamweaver CS6 show blue frame in Internet Explorer...

I've created some very simple rollover buttons in Photoshop and placed them into Dreamweaver as rollover images to use as a navigation bar.
They appear correct in all browsers except Internet Explorer - they appear with a blue frame around? The table boarder is set to 0...
My Dreamweaver knowledge is very limited so appologies if there is a very simple solution to my problem :-)

I want to use animated gifs as MouseOver in rollover buttons.
Somehow when I put this together the animation only works for the
first time I do the MouseOver. - the anim gifs are not looping I
want them to restart every time I have a MouseOut and MouseOver.
I get this to work if i dont put in preload images as default
but then I will have problems with delays instead. Do anyone know
how to solwe this problem in an easy simple to explane kind of way

On the Rapidshare website the yellow 'upload' button is not working in Firefox 12. It worked in former versions and it works in Internet Explorer.

I have sent an e-mail to Rapidshare. They have tested the button and it works fine. Rapidshare recommended to try another web browser. I have tried Internet Explorer and the button works fine. It's probably a Firefox 12 problem. In former Firefox versions I didn't have the same problem.

No problems here on Linux.
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

Interactive PDF: Rollover button state no longer working properly ???

Okay, what's going on with the Interactive PDFs lately?
Now all my rollover buttons no longer work properly. If I have a button that's simply a black arrow, and in the rollover state it's red.
No matter if I'm checking it out in the latest Acrobat Reader or Pro X, the rollover only works for a brief second..then reverts back to black - the original state.
This, combined with my latest problem with the show/hide button state, is really becoming a frustrating hassle:

Is this an Acrobat issue? The button function here seems to work in the InDesign preview mode.

Hhmmm...I'm actually having this problem even with Adobe Acrobat 9 Professional. Does this make sense?
Again, I'm creating the document in InDesign CS5 and then building the PDF with Adobe Acrobat 9 Professional, and the rollover effects don't work in Adobe Acrobat 9, Adobe Reader 9, and Adobe Reader 10.
I'm a bit new to this process of software not providing its basic touted functionality. Is this the kind of thing where support for this functionality will vary from product to product? I had the same issue with PDF Portfolio -- where all its functioanlity was not supported in Adobe Reader X. If so, perhaps I should simply stick with the classic features of PDFs. Or can I trust, reliability, that going forward, this rollover effect will be supported in all Adobe Reader versions? Win 7 Pro updates to Internet Explorer 11 every web page has blank frames and radio buttons. Updates show only IE11.

Sorry for the annoying issue you encountered and our develop team are trying our best to improve the performance of MS products, As I know, IE 11 was published after many technical tests, thus I suspect that it might be an individual case. I used to run
IE 11 in my win7, and it works perfectly,
Here’re some test you may take into consideration:
Make sure that you’ve installed all latest updates.
Since your Monitors keeps suggesting that the web sites are not running because it’s a compatibility issue, I suggest you add one site to the compatibility view list for a test, (if you can find the settings in Tools>Compatibility view settings)
Or click Win+F12, launch the F12 developer tool, click the last option, change the user agent string and document string to “10”, check whether the page can revert to normal.
