Muse - reinstall + missing widget menu

My Muse was missing one of the drop down option for one of the widgets. (See attached screen cap...the menu below the OnClick Event was not active.) I was using the latest version of Muse downloaded via the Adobe Application Manager/Creative Cloud on MAC OSX Version 10.6.8.) In an attempt to get it working, I deleted the application, hoping to do a new install. Now, when I access the application manager, Muse still appears listed as up to date. First, how can I properly reinstall. Second, any idea why the widget's menu wasn't working in the first place?

Please run the uninstaller located in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers/ and then try reinstalling.

MUSE : Bug du Widget Menu???

Rebonjour, Problème simple mais bien emm... Si j'ajoute deux "Sous-pages" à une page contenant un widget Menu, en principe le bouton correspondant devrait afficher les boutons pour les pouvoir afficher les deux sous-pages, hors j'ai essayé à plusieurs reprises et en repartant de zéro et rien n'y fait. Ces "Sous-Boutons" n'apparaissent pas dans le menu et il est donc impossible d'afficher les deux "Sous-Pages". Si quelqu’un à une idée sur le sujet... Pour info, j'ai aussi fait deux post sur le forum anglais (malgré mon English plus que primaire) , l'un concernant des fichiers manquants dans le tuto "Site Mobile" et l'autre concernant le ou les widgets vidéo Html 5 qui ne sont valables d'après ce que j'ai pu trouver que pour le .MP4 et/ ou le .webm. Rien pour le format.ogv??? Donc pour le moment, la Muse n'a pas l'air de vouloir m'enchanter pour continuer à créer un site, pourtant tout paraît si simple lorsqu'on regarde les tutos!

En fait dans le widget Menu, il faut modifier l'Option "Type de Menu"> "Pages de Niveau supérieur" par > "Toutes les pages".
Comme "Pages de Niveau supérieur" est l'option de Muse par défaut, si on ne modifie pas l'option, on ne voit même pas les boutons correspondant aux sous-pages ou pages filles.

In Browser Editing-June 2014 Muse Update-Only Working With Widget Menu

As a non-BC user, I'm now able to accomplish in browser editing from my hosting company. However, I found that I cannot navigate to any pages that are not attached to a widget menu and edit them. Clicking on an in-website link not associated with the widget menu will take me to that page but not allow any editing to be done. It also does not load the page name in the address bar.
I did find a work-around with this: change the page name in the address bar to the non-menu-widget webpage name. It loads the page and allows editing. Not really user-friendly when trying to teach my clients how to conduct their own website edits. You have to supply them with every non-menu-widget page name to edit them. Ugh!
Does anybody know if Adobe is working on this? Can anyone suggest an easier work-around?

Could you share what site you are trying to edit? I haven't been able able to reproduce this problem.
When hovering over an object (text frame in this example) that has a hyperlink, a "Click" button should appear that allows the user to follow the link instead of editing the link text.
If only part of the text contains the hyperlink, the click button does not appear, but a small arrow shows when hovering over the link indicating that the click will follow the link.

Horizontal widget menu - advice please

I have used a widget to create a horizontal menu that runs along the top of banner. My banner is set to '100%' width therefore I would like my menu to be the same however when I set my menu to 100% width it doesn't spread across the entire length of the page.
The left hand side reaches the edge of the browser window however the right hand side ends over an inch short!!
I feel like I have tried everything I can think of to make it reach the 100% width but no luck so far (I am fairly new to Muse so I may be missing the trick)
Any help/advice would be very very much appreciated!

This is the default behavior , for full browser width you can use panel and create menu with accordion.

Widget menu not displaying correctly

Hi,
I've created a web site and uploaded it to the FTP server to check it works OK and I've found the home page menu doesn't display correctly, but every other page is OK.
The drop down 'sub-menu' is getting clogged up in it's layout.

Because the menu is generated by Muse as a widget, (I've just edited colours etc) why should 1 page display differently to the others?
I have this in the Master file, so I'm not making duplicate menus on each seperate page... the one widget serves all the pages.
Any ideas?

If you have inserted the menu on the Master page, then ideally it should appear even and remain unselectable/uneditable on all of the content pages.
Does the menu appear distorted in Design mode for the homepage too or only when you preview in browser/after publish?
I believe you're using the "All Pages" menu type and by looking at the screenshots, it appears that the Products menu item is overlapping the Education menu item. Did you try making a copy or delete the menu and re-insert in Master page? Can you do a Select All on the Home page and check if you don't have an identical but mis-aligned manual menu overlapping the original menu?
If the problem persists, can you share a link to the website for us to have a look?

Since posting the above, I have resolved a sensible work-around in regard to ebookstores which prefer us to have separate accounts for our separate Adobe IDs.
However, I really would appreciate it if anyone here can confirm that a DRM controlled book does actually become associated with a particular Adobe ID account at the time of first download to Digital Editions on that PC/device.
Two large book stores have said using my account with them to download books to our two separate Adobe IDs is OK, but I don't want to find my husband is unable to open his downloaded books.

LG Intuition upgrade today...app issues, failure notifications constantly, Google Play broken, missing widgets...etc PLEASE FIX!!!

I upgrade my LG Intuition VS 950 today and now I'm getting constant app failure notifications, Google Play won't open, missing widgets, picture frame won't let me select a folder. Probably a lot more but haven't played around with it too much. Too many error messages. Frustrated! Please resolve.

I have two LG Intutions and had the same problem with both devices, not only did the upgrade stop some of the apps from working but it deleted the CAMERA and all the pictures, CONTACTS, and other apps on the phone aren't even on the phone anymore. Google Play is not working and I'm unable to open up Gmail. Backup assistance is not working to retrieve anything and when i logged on to the verizon website to view the backed up data it was empty. This problem needs to be fixed immediately. VERY FRUSTRATED!!!!!!

Is it still the case that the Muse CC Forms widget will not work properly unless you have Business Catalyst?

I am looking into options for our next office website redesign. We will definitely need a forms function. I downloaded the Muse CC free trial and went through all of the tutorials. The video on the forms (Contact Form) stated that the forms widget would not work or would not work properly if you do not have Business Catalyst. I'm hoping that has changed since the video was created.
Is this still true that you need to purchase the Business Catalyst product for Muse CC form widgets to work correcty???

Piruki have you tried utilizing the Previous version option within the Creative Cloud Desktop application? You can find additional details under the install Previous version section of CC desktop lists applications as "Up to Date" when not installed - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/aam-lists-removed-apps-date.html.

I am still trying to understand my issue. I believe more and more than it is some kind of limits on password characters or complexity:

Nevertheless, they also speak about complex characters without detailing what it means.

I am still a little bit confused regarding which characters can be used. " and accentuated characters "é", I may have used an "unsuported" passcode.

Update doesn't fix missing help menu?

Downloaded the latest update hoping to find that the missing help menu had been fixed, but I guess not. It seems that this should be available to those that downloaded Aperture 2 (.0.1 now) just like those who got the box. I have downloaded the help manual pdf, but don't know how to get it to show up in the program help menu.

Muse widget menu

I am using the horizontal muse menu widget. One page has two sublevels pages. How do I get the drop down menus under the one tab. I see other sites that have the drop down tabs but don't see any tutorials on how to do this.

I believe you have the Menu type configured to display Top level pages only. If that is the case, change it to All Pages as indicated below.

Transition stiyes for ALL muse elements and widgets

Hi,
When are you planning on introducing "Transition Styles" for ALL muse elements?
By these I mean (at least): fade, vertical (top & bottom) and horizontal (left & right)
Having them available for only some elements like slideshows keeps us designers from being as creative as possible, and it's 2014, we CAN'T have "dead" looking elements on our websites.
By "Transition Styles" I mean:
Page Transitions
Button Transitions (regular and for menu widgets of course)
PSD Button Transitions
Target and TRIGGER transitions for compositions (this is important)
Footer Transitions
THIS WILL MAKE BOTH YOUR PRODUCT AND OUR FINAL DESIGNS LOOK LIVE AND CONTEMPORARY
IMO transitions are an essential thing which gives a new dimension to every website. Without being able to control this, our designs will look static and "dead".
P.S. I'm at the end of my trial and this is something of the highest importance to me (at least to know if it's coming in the near future) which will tip the balance for me to buy the 1yr subscription. I've thoroughly tested muse for the last 20 days and have came up with the conclusion that this is the only thing missing for me to be able to create website designs which can stand shoulder to shoulder with award winning website designs. Having Transition Styles available for ALL elements will give us designers such power and creative freedom to do things some of which even you couldn't anticipate.

Well, I've managet to re-create it from scratch in muse (without edge animate). I only found myself limited without the ability to assign transitions to ALL elements in muse. For instance, on the landing page you can see the Costa Rica Mobile Web Design section (with the astronaut etc.) And you can notice "WE INNOVATE", "WE PREPARE" and "WE LAUNCH" sections and how when you click on each of them, the content changes but the buttons also have a shape coming from above (vertical transition). I created that using Lightbox or Blank composition (can't remember ATM), used triggers (with inserted images) to act as "WE INNOVATE" etc. and light box areas to act as content with images and text. I then assigned vertical transition to the content and RIGHT THERE, all I needed to make it perfect was to be able to assign "Vertical Transition" to the TRIGGER. I hope you understand what I'm getting at.
So, giving TRIGGERS their own transition styles, not just targets, doubles the dynamic effect possibilities of the website. And That's what made me come to conclusion that ALL muse elements should have a transition style option. It would let designers be comfortable and rely on that option always being there and would remove disadvantages of certain widgets and elements. For instance, I bet we all are craving for a menu bar with smoothly fading buttons and for pages swiping from the side or fading.
Give us this, and I'll give you a worthy match to this CSS award winning website, but created entirely in muse and NO CODE WAS WRITTEN THAT DAY
