Muse submenu

I have this issue with my submenus, they're not showing up. I've used the widget from Muse and even with its default configuration the submenus are not showing in Muse preview or browser preview.
See below an image of my site's map. Any help, really appreciated.

Regarding the sub menus, can I do this using Ps buttons ? I know I can do that for the main ones but is there any way of using Ps buttons in the menus widgets ?

Muse submenu preview

Hi,
I 'm enjoying the muse trial but have run into a bit of a problem.
After creating submenus, are you supposed to be able to test them in preview mode?
The submenus work fine if I publish to the browser, but when I try to test them in
preview mode and hover my mouse over the main menu, nothing happens.

Could you please confirm which version of Adobe Muse are you using?
We had a similar issue with Muse 3.0 update and it was fixed in Muse 3.1 update.

ADOBE MUSE SUBMENU PROBLEM

I am a subscriber of Adobe CC and I am using Adobe Muse cc 2014. I created a web site "Kocaeli Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Genel Cerrahi Anabilim Dalı". I have built some child pages but when I publish the site the submenus (Might be under "Hakkında" and "Eğitim" menus) can not shown. What may be the problem? Would you please help me?

Submenu Bug in Adobe Muse?

I created a horizontal menu using the Widget Library. When I view my trial site in the Goolge Chrome browser scaled at 100% everything is rendered correctly. The submenu's align accordingly with their top level menu. The problem arises when I change the browser's view by either scaling up or down. For instance, when I hover my cursor over a top level menu that has a submenu and zoom in at 125% (meanwhile my cursor remains hovered/rollovered on the same top level menu), its corresponding submenu misaligns and shifts to the far right. If i zoom out at 90%, under the same circumstances, the submenu once again misaligns and shifts to the left.
My menu Options are as follows:
Menu Type: All Pages
Direction: Horizontal
Edit Together (checkmarked)
Item Size: Uniform Size
Show Left Icon: Off
Show Label: On
Show Right Icon: Off
Parts Positioning: Horizontally; Center-Aligned
In Google Chrome scaleld at 100%. The submenu aligns appropriately below its parent menu.
In this screenshot, my cursor remains rollovered the About Us top level menu meanwhile I zoom in to 125%.
The About Us's submenu is no longer aligned with its parent menu.
Instead the submenu shifts comletely to the right.
Zoomed out at 90%.
My cursor is still rollovered the About Us menu and its submenu shifts left.
At first I thought that I must have had my settings misconfigured, I've tried numerous changes and none seem to fix the issue. I've also taken a look at other user's websites which they have created in Adobe Muse and low and behold the same problem. I am surprised this issue has not been discussed as far as I can tell.
Does anyone know of any work arounds? Even if it means having to manually create my menus. I don't mind having to manually link my pages. This has been really bugging me and I would like to find a solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you go to the menu options in design view and check the menu type, do you see "all pages" in there? If yes, then republish the site and see if that resolves the issue.

Adobe Muse: How to show Submenu on active sub sites

Hey there,
I was just wondering:
Is it possible to show the submenu of the concerning page in Adobe Muse if you are on a Subpage.
E.g if I had the mainpages Home, About and Contact. About has two subpages in a submenu.
What I want to do is if you are on one subpage of "About", the submenu of the About menu item is shown with the subpage marked as active.

I would like to use my Photoshop buttons for a submenu in Muse.

I have created a set of six Photoshop buttons. Four of the buttons are top level menu buttons and two buttons are for a submenu. How do I get these two submenu buttons to appear when I hover over the top level button (i.e., work like submenu buttons with the widget.)

Not sure if this answers my question. I am working with Muse 2014. How do I get imported Photoshop buttons to work as submenu buttons. I have a button call Pictures and two submenu buttons called Residential and Commercial that are linked to different pages. How do I get these two buttons to act as submenu buttons under the Pictures button? (i.e., not visible until the Pictures button is in hover mode and then able to click to go to the correct page based on the links of either the Residential button or the Commercial button).

How can I use a menu name multiple times in Muse?

I need to use the term resource friendly in the main menu as well as a submenu for a project I am currently working on. But Muse does not allow me to repeat the term. Is there a workaround for this?

In other words, in the menu properties change it to manual.

A top level menu item should display its active state if any of its submenu items are active

Example case: I'm designing a Muse site which is basically a portfolio of our work. We design books, doing page layout and covers. We have numerous book categories and sub categories which I put in a horizontal menu. When a given top level category menu item doesn't have a submenu, it is a hyperlink and it displays active state when the browser displays its linked page. But when a given page is displayed from a submenu link, its top level menu item does NOT display active state. I think it should.
For example, we have a "Nostalgia" category which has "Film" and "TV" subcategories. Because the menu item, "Nostalgia" has a submenu containing "Film" and "TV", the label "Nostalgia" is not a hyperlink. The submenu attached to it has the two hyperlinked items "Film" and "TV". When the browser is displaying either linked page, the submenu is hidden. So it would be nice if the top level item, "Nostalgia" would display in an active state.

As of now this feature is not there in Adobe Muse.

Sub menu in Muse widget

I am having a hell of a time setting the 4 states on a muse menu/submenu
Yes I am clicking right through to the / main menu/submenu/ menu
I tried saving the states I created for the main manu in paragraphc styles and then selecting them for the submenu/menu
but it doesn;t work
Where can I get some answers?

it would be simple to pay someone to do this for me, but I need to learn it myself for my main web site.

I suspect you are not getting the sub-menu dropdown in the design view. You can enable it from Menu options > Menu Type : All pages.

To Adobe Muse CC team. Muse 2014.2 crashed. Here is the screen shot

While I was trying to choose a new font for use on a page header Muse crashed with the following message.
Just letting you know. After exiting and saving automatically the entire error was sent to Apple. I restarted Muse and all was saved and restored. Went on my merry way. Looks like no harm, no foul.

I expect you hit the font menu crash. We're very actively working on a solid fix and subsequent update.
There is no 100% workaround for avoiding the crash, but you can reduce its frequency by being very deliberate when making selections from the font menu or a font submenu. If, at the time you decide to click you keep the mouse cursor over the same item for a slow count of 1 before clicking and never click on an item in the main font menu that has a submenu (a gesture that would serve no purpose, but which would trigger the crash), that should avoid the crash in most cases.

hi, I am trying to use as little horizontal space as possible, to leave as much of the page for images as possible. i don't want the submenu sticking out horizontally from the main menu. sthank you for any help.

Submenus of vertical menus will display adjacent to the parent menu item. They cannot be moved underneath the parent menu item.
You could create this type of effect using an accordian widget, but you would need to create your page links manually.

Problem with Vertical Menu Widget in Muse

Using the vertical menu widget in Muse, I want to make the submenu pop up under the parent item. The default action is to pop up to the right. How do I override this?

Thanks for posting this question - I too had this question, and I think I found a way to do this. Try using the "Padding" feature located on the Spacing panel. Looks like you can use this tool to move the location of the sub-menu group, Just make sure you have the sub-menu's selected first. Seems to have worked for what I was wanting to do. Hope this helps!

Vertical menu with vertical submenu's

Hi,
I would like to create a vertical menu with vertical submenu's. So when you click on a menu item, it slides open and reveals the submenu items. I tried to combine different accordion widgets together and also to combine an accordion with a vertical menu, but this got all quite messy, especially when I previewed it. It seems such simple feature (Muse is using it for its own menu structures, for example the widget-library) so I find it strange that it is not available in the library or somewhere else online...

How exactly you have tried with accordion ?
With accordion widget this can be achieved , as label the items as main menu and sub menu items.
For example , insert an Accordion , name the label as Main and insert other elements in container area and then link them to specific pages.
You can also , try to insert an accordion with rotation so that the menu items should appear with horizontal expansion.
