Muse trial crashes....

My muse constantly crashes with error code 1009. is it a software issue? How can I get around this?

  • Adobe Muse trial crashing on launch

    Hi All,
    I'm a bit perplexed.  I downloaded Adobe Muse trial and can't get it to stay open.  When I launch it, it opens to the welcome screen and then it just crashes.  I get the following:
    I have uninstalled and re-installed it several times today with no joy.  Any help would be appreciated.  I really want to evaluate this so I can decide wether to buy the subscription

    The problem is probably not the shear number of fonts that were installed but rather a problem with one specific font file, or font family. In the future if you start adding back in some of these fonts and find Muse crashes again, you may be able to identify the specific font (or set of fonts) that are triggering the crash. If so, we'd be grateful if you sent a copy of the problem font file(s) to us at [email protected] along with a link to this thread. Even if a font file is severely corrupt our font parser should not crash. So if you encounter a font file that's causing a crash we'd like to take a look at it so we can correct the error handling in our font parser. Thanks.

  • Adobe Muse Trial Crashes Every Time I Save Changes to a Purchased Template (Brooklyn)

    Hi, I am evaluating Muse. I have purchased an online Muse template file to adjust in order to build my own site. If Muse can do this then I will go ahead and purchase it.
    However, whenever I save any changes to the Muse file then Muse crashes immediately and consistently. I'm now not so sure if I should go ahead and purchase the Muse application.
    Any thoughts and suggestions are very welcome. My apologies if I am making beginner mistakes here, I am very much a novice with Muse. Grateful for your guidance.

    I have just read and tried your workaround copied below. Please forgive my ignorance since I am new to Muse and halfway a 30 day trial. In your workaround you lost me after you asked to copy the files to disk. I don't know what you mean by "re-set the browser fill to use the copy."
    I am currently making my way through the tutorials but have much to learn.

    Relaunch Muse.
    Say No to recovery. "Do you want Muse to attempt to recover your unsaved changes?" No.
    You will lose all changes since the last successful save.
    Open your file.
    DO NOT relink or update any Assets.
    In the Assets panel find every asset that has an entry for "background" and entries for one or more pages (browser fill images).
    Make a copy of those image files on disk and re-set the browser fill to use the copy.
    Once you've done this for every image that's used both as a browser fill image and as the fill image for other objects, you'll be able to relink or update Assets and save without errors.

  • Muse keeps crashing

    I have been using the trial version of Muse. I have 4 days left and I would like to finish my site. If this works well, I will buy the subscription. However, as of today, Muse keeps crashing. I am putting up lightboxes and expanding them, and when I expand them, Muse crashes. Any ideas/help??? VERY frustrated!

  • Adobe Muse keeps crashing every time I publish any website all of a sudden

    Adobe Muse keeps crashing every time I publish any website all of a sudden. Not just for the website I was working on but now all my websites. It was working perfectly fine and when I hit publish it just crashes. I have multiple copies and different websites and they are all crashing when I try to publish. It seems like it is not an error for just the one website I was working on but the entire program is not functioning correctly. Here's a screen shot of the error.

    Mac or Windows? What's the error that appears? If it's an Apple Crash Report, please copy/paste the first few pages of it here.
    I strongly recommend against it (for multiple reasons below) but if you uninstall Muse, then go to the Creative Cloud Desktop App, and choose "Previous Version" in the Find New Apps section there will be a dropdown arrow next to the Install button. That dropdown will list all versions of Muse.
    If you've saved over top your existing file using the current version, reverting Muse won't work, since older versions cannot open files saved from newer versions. If you've don't significant work in the current version, that will be lost because you'll have to go back to the file as last saved using the prior version of Muse. Finally, there's a significant probability that error/crash is related to content in the file, network configuration, or other outside forces and if that's the case reverting won't avoid the error/crash.
    If you share more info about what error you're encountering, I expect we can determine a workaround/solution.

    Cannot install Muse trial because the installation package says it is corrupt. I tried to download the Englisch and the Dutch versions both, but both with the same message: contact the 'maker' of te program. So here I am, big 'maker'... pleas help.
    My computer with my Muse licence was stolen last week so I need the trial to finish an important project, aaaaarrrrrgggg!
    The message I got: Sorry, er is een fout optgetreden. De toepassing kon niet worden geïnstalleerd, omdat het installatiebestand beschadigd is. Probeer een nieuw installatiebestand te krijgen van de toepassingsauteur.
    In English: Sorry, an error has occurred. The program cannot be installed because it is damaged. Try to get a new one.

  • Adobe Muse 'Trial initialisation failed' on Mac

    Hello,
    I am interested in trying Adobe Muse, however whenever I try to begin my trial I get an error message that says 'Trial initialisation failed, your trial has expired'. I have never used the software before, and I have tried creating another Adobe ID, I have installed it on another system and I still get the same error.
    I am running Mac OS X 10.7.5 on a late 2006 iMac.
    All help is greatly appreciated.

    Muse Trial was instal on one of our Mac, trial was over, then we get instal to another Mac with new Adobe ID, but he said on last step after login ID that 'Trial initialisation failed, your trial has expired. as if we install muse before...and nothing helps. we try delete OOBE and MBLStore and Adobe muse, reinstal adobe air, but nothing ...it looks like its blocked with our global ip, but it can not be. Why he (Adobe Air?/Muse) think that we had already instal and over Muse Trial on another machine (Mac), when we did not do this? like all our Mac is the same one.

    Now sites I have been working on crash when I attempt to preview them either within Muse or in a browser window. This never happened before the update.

    Can you tell me that whether Muse is crashing when you preview a particular site or even when you create a new site and try to preview it  Muse Crashes ?
    Also, Please try disabling your Firewall ,Anti-virus and also any proxy server settings that your browser might be using.

    Some users have reported issues with Internet Explorer 9 although it does not appear to be consistent.  It is likely due to the security settings, install add-ons, or plug-ins which are causing the download button to not be available.

    You can start Muse like you start other apps. 
    --Open Applications folder and find the installed Muse folder. 
    --In that folder, double-click Adobe Muse CC.

    I am currently using Muse trial version building my website.
    What I am concerned is; will I still be able to use my website after the Muse tiral is expired?
    I am thinking of publishing with business catalyst hosing server.
    Did anyone ever try this?

    Your site will continue to function, but obviously you will no longer be able to edit it in Muse until you subscribe to muse.
    You can export your muse file to HTML from the file menu and use that version of the site for as long as you like.

    Hi together!
    I am asking myself if anyone else has the same problems.
    Muse keeps crashing continuosly every 5 minutes.
    And everytime I get the same Error Message (see pic)
    I tried to reach the telephone support today and guess what?
    There is no support for Muse - only the chat which is always offline ...
    I am so pissed and angry.
    Muse seems to me like a very unstable Beta Version of a good program - once it's finished.
    If anyone has the same problems, or knows what this may be, please tell me ...

  • Adobe Muse trial doesn't install (Mac)

    After retrieving the Muse trial downloader from here: [Link Removed - BT] I can't complete the install.  I double-click the Setup app, enter my admin credentials, and...nothing happens.  No other apps open, nothing installs...absolutely nothing happens.
    Phone and chat support are both worthless, directing me here instead since *apparently* they only care about their paying customers.  It's disgusting.  I'm evaluating their product in order to potentially become a paying customer.  You'd think they would want to help me in any way possible...
    So, rant aside, I appreciate any advice anyone can provide.  I've found other links to a "beta" version - is the trial something different, or would I be better off pursuing the beta?

    My sincere apologies for the confusion! Your frustration is certainly warranted! Here is what happened: there was a cross-team communication mix-up and it caused a bogus trial version of Muse to be posted on that link you referenced. As you correctly noticed, the installer doesn't function at all! We're working to get that cleaned up ASAP.
    For now, here is the link you need to be using get the latest version of Muse.

  • June 18, 2014 Muse Update crashes Muse

    Just upgraded to Mavericks OS so that I could install the June 18 upgrade. After opening Muse, I click on "Install Now" and Muse immediately crashes—several tries, with OS restarts. Fortunately, Muse opens when I decline the new install. Puzzled!

    I should clarify. I did not do anything pother than click on updating now and it crashes, but will open if I click on update later. I did not add or change anything system-wise before that.
