Muse Vertical Website Shift

I am creating a vertical one page website with Muse. When I go to preview it all the content shifts left. Is there anyway to fix this. I have read that it may occur due to the browser scroll bar but it really messes my page up.

I don't know if my issue is related to this problem or not, but it is the closest thing I've found. I don't have an anchors to adjust the tags.
My issue is the tablet version of my site will scale the content on the page while it's loading so that it appears to jump. you'll see everything that's on the page fit into the tablet browswer as it loads and then it will scale to 100% and be okay while browsing. It's a very unprofessional bug that I'd like to get corrected before posting it.
The second issue I have is with some lightbox composition widgets I'm using that have a slideshow in them showing both video and images. There is something that pushes the widget off center, and will scale the page a little so there's a blank space next to my background. I've attached screen shots here, as well as sent my muse file to the support email via SendThisFile. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I've been trying to solve the problem for quite awhile now.
This image is how it looks as the page is loading:
And how the page is supposed to and does look after it has loaded:
This is how I want the slideshows to appear (the image only versions work correctly):
This is what happens when a lightbox opens that contains a slideshow with video and image:
(It's a little hard to see due to the dark background and lightbox overlay, but there is a lighter grey bar on the right that should not be there)

  • Too much to load by creating a vertical website?

    Was wondering by creating a vertical website, won't it be too much to load at once?
    for an example this template http://musethemes-impress.businesscatalyst.com/#about

    Hi Jose,
    Yes, you are right. If you will make a vertical website, you would be adding lots of images to the home page itself, which will definitely take more than usual time to load. You can use light images to counter this issue. However, it may still take more than usual time to load though.

  • Fixing Muse Vertical Shift

    found this forum very helpful, the answers given to me solved a lot of my issues. However, I still have one. Although my website scrolls down perfectly without shifting to the right I can still do it manually.
    I've included a short YouTube clip of the problem. I tried all of the advice above but nothing has been able to solve it. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Adobe Muse page is shifting to the left

    Hello,
    I love Adobe Muse and have been using it for some time now. I HAVE had this problem before but it was due to elements being placed outside of the page area, so of course I investigated that first. Unfortunately, I'm still having that problem and I've triple checked my elements to make sure they werent hanging off but I'm still not getting the page to allign when opening the page in IOS. I read another feed that offered a code = <meta name = "viewport" content = "width = XXX" initial-scale = 1.0> to be put into the metadata but that isn't working either. I have included a link to the page below.
    Can anyone lend a hand? It would be greatly appreciated.

    I am having a similar problem when I preview my mobile in Muse. All of my content gets shifted to the left or the menu get's shifted to the left. I don't have any elements or objects on the page the are overlaping into the browser background area of the site either. Please check out the screen shots that I have included below. I would VERY much appreciate a solution to this problem.
    Thank you!

  • How to edit an existing muse created website with muse on a new computer?

    Hi Everyone,
    I'm pretty new hear and could use some help. I downloaded Muse back when it was still in beta and used it to create a website www.southernski.com      I really liked it's ease of use since i'm a newb at writing html and haven't gotten the hang of Dreamweaver. I need to update the site and make changes. The pc i was using before was running XP and the version of Muse then worked on it fine. But Muse has left XP behind and will not install the update on that machine and so I've installed a new version of Muse on a laptop with Windows 7. The files i used to create the website are on the pc that has failed and so I need to try and find out if it is possible to edit the existing site I have uploaded on a hosting site (not muse or adobe) and make the changes that are needed. Can someone please help me answer this question?
    Thanks in advance for any help!
    Sean

    Hello Sean,
    It is not possible to import the pages etc. from the hosting site to Muse for editing purposes. This is because Muse only opens files with the extension .muse (which is the extension for the muse website file that is created and saved in Muse). It is not possible to import .html files etc. in Muse for editing purposes, hence, you won't be able to edit your current website in it, however, if you are able to locate the .muse file that you created earlier (if you have a back up somewhere), you can simply copy that file in your new computer and open in it in Muse to start editing.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers

    Auch das exportieren als HTML brachte keine Änderung.

    hier wäre dann ein screenshot wie die website (exportiert) aussieht..
    auf den server ist hier noch nichts geladen..
    Exportiert wurde über die Funktion:
    Datei -> Als HTML exportieren
    Externe Dateien wie CSS gibt es zwar aber da ich für die Seiten bei denen das gebraucht wurde auch die Seiten extern als HTML geschrieben habe und dann nur verlinkt habe hat das hier ja keinen Einfluss auf die Seite..
    Noch eine Sache: Es sind ca 50 Seiten falls das wichtig zu wissen ist.
    Edit 1: habe die Website gerade nochmal in Muse und Dreamweaver getestet. bei beiden wird es in der Vorschau richtig dargestellt wenn ich allerdings die Live-Ansicht (bei Dreamweaver) aktiviere habe ich den gleichen Effekt wie eben schon bei Muse..

  • Adobe Muse CC - Website Inhalt komplett im Head!

    Nachdem ich heute eine in Muse CC erstellte Website (ca. 50 Sites) exportiert habe und mir diese dann angesehen habe sah man nur vollflächig grau im Browser.
    Siehe Screenshot:
    Die Website wurde noch nirgends hochgeladen! Sie befindet sich immernoch auf dem Rechner!
    Exportiert wurde über die Funktion:
    Datei -> Als HTML exportieren
    Die Website habe ich in Muse sowie auch in Dreamweaver getestet. Bei beiden wird es in der Vorschau richtig dargestellt wenn ich allerdings die Live-Ansicht (bei Dreamweaver) aktiviere habe ich den gleichen Effekt wie eben schon bei Muse..
    Nachdem ich im Browser über die Funktionstaste F12 die Dev Tools geöffnet habe und mir den Code hier nochmal angesehen habe, fand ich den Fehler ziemlich schnell..
    Der gesamte Seiteninhalt sprich der Body der Seite war plötzlich im Head der Seite, genauer gesagt sogar im Title.
    Über die bearbeiten Funktion in den Dev Tools habe ich dann die Codezeilen verschoben und siehe da, die Website wurde richtig dargestellt.
    Was ist da jetzt schief gelaufen bzw wie ändere ich das am besten für ALLE seiten... jede einzeln bearbeiten wäre natürlich ein riesen Aufwand

    Was ist da jetzt schief gelaufen bzw wie ändere ich das am besten für ALLE seiten... jede einzeln bearbeiten wäre natürlich ein riesen Aufwand
    Wieso? HTML ist Text und jeder bessere Texteditor wie BBEdit can Strings über mehrere Dokumnete hin Ersetzen. Dauert ungefähr 10 Sekunden, wenn man den Fehler erstmal gefunden hat. Wenn er nach dem Export überall auftaucht, hast du möglicherweise in irgendein Widget einfach was falsches eingetragen, z.B. ein unzulässiges Sonderzeichen, das als Code interpretiert wird bzw. hast schon was bei der Site-Template verratzt. Kann man ohne Quellcode natürlich nicht sagen...

  • Uploading Muse CC website to SharePoint

    I've built a website in Muse CC and want to upload (or export) it to SharePoint as per my client's request. How do I go about this?

    I did use the export to html option as i couldn't get the built in ftp thing to work, I will give it another go though. When I exported the html i made a new separate folder on my desktop for it, then when uploading it to Filezilla I highlighted everything in that folder, following a youtube instructional video on godaddy's website. I checked in the images within my exported html and the background image is there. I will check the privacy of all the video's but i've always had them set to public in the past, plus theyre not all from the same website which makes it seem odd that all of themwon't show up. You're probably right about the font, I will change that now.

  • Embed interactive map HTML5 files in Muse CC website

    I am illiterate when it comes to code and therefore I am using Muse and not Dreamweaver to build a website.
    I have created a interactive map that I wish to embed in this Muse website, with Avenza Mapublisher, an Adobe Illustrator Plugin, and exported it to HTML5.
    The result is an index.html file as well as a folder containing scripts and subfolders containing map tiles at different zoom levels.
    When I open the index.html in a browser it works 100%.
    Now I want to embed it into a Muse website.
    The HTML code in the index.html can be inserted via Object - Insert HTML in Muse CC.
    In order for it to work the scripts in the folder needs to accessed. I changed all relative paths in the HTML code to "assets/" and try to use the "add files for upload" function in Muse to upload the scripts as assets in Muse. This worked and the scrips could be accessed.
    The map tiles however (jpg tiles in different subfolders for different zoom levels), reside in subfolders whose folder structure needs to be preserved.
    Unfortunately Muse does not allow me to upload a folder as an asset. I cannot add the tiles in the subfolders individually, as the scripts, depending on the zoom level, fetches different tile sets from different subfolders.
    Can anyone please give me directions on how to embed this map in a Muse website?
    HTML5 that I wish to embed:
    Inside the assets folder:
    Inside layer_1_files folder (Different zoom levels)
    Inside folder 12 for example (zoom level 12)

    I was able to reproduce the problem at my end with a similar setup. This is happening as HTML5 renders images a little differently and Muse uses HTML5. Refer to the following thread for more explanation on this. - http://stackoverflow.com/questions/8722017/weird-html5-sliced-images-margin-top-bottom-iss ue
    So in your case, simply add the following CSS to Home -> Page Properties -> Metadata -> HTML for <head> and re-publish.
    <style type="text/css">
    img { display: block; }
    </style>
    You might also want to re-upload /Narin-&-Portnoo.gif to the /assets/ folder as it appears it hasn't been uploaded properly and is currently generating a Bad request error. However, if re-uploading doesn't help, change the file name removing any special characters, re-upload and update the embedded HTML.
    Thanks,
    Vinayak

  • Issues with signing into Muse Prerelease website

    I am a member of the Muse beta community at museprerelease.com. I have been able to log in until about a week ago. Now when I go to museprerelease.com and am redirected to an Adobe sign in page, and enter my credentials, I am directed back to sso.museprerelease.com/signin.html . I can log in to the Adobe website and Muse software, but it is just the beta community that I can not log in to. This is occurring in both Chrome and Safari browsers. I also had the same issue when I tried logging in with another account. I have tried to get help from Adobe chat support, and they directed me to phone support, and then I was directed to a different agent, and then he said to ask about this on the forum. So does anyone have any idea what's going on?

    Can you please email me at [email protected]? Since this is about the prerelease forums, we can't discuss more in the public forums. Thanks

  • Muse mobile version shifting left

    Hello,
    My site I designed for my client looks great and I love Muse! However when I view it on phone and tablet it is shifting left.
    All looks good but the shift. I reviewed my artwork to make sure no graphics were floating out there and everything is clean.
    I also created a phone version which it is not picking up. Please take a look and let me know what I can do to fix this issue.

    Thanks you,

    QUE graphics

    That was not it.
    However I did fix it. In brower fill the tab that says "scroll" and the box that you can check called "motion", it was checked. I removed it and now it fits nicely in my mobile window and does not shift left anymore!  Also my site on desktops does not shift left to right either which is the way I want it.
    Somthing I would of never thought of but I was trying everything to get this to work.

  • How to move my published muse cc website to an external host

    Could someone please give me a step by step guide to all the things I need to do to move my website from the adobe muse hosting server to an external one such as godaddy? My subscription to cc is ending in a few days and im not renewing so i need to sort out new hosting, thanks!

  • White Border and Website shift on iPhone?

    Hi, I've finished making a site in Muse and it only needs to be a desktop site. However when viewed on an iPhone or an iPad there is an ugly white border to the right side of the site. The whole site appears to have shifted? This isn't the case on my mac.
    Anyone have any ideas?

    There can be few reasons or this , including any content outside page area , or any content placed stretching outside page area or if any html content being added on page includes size parameter in conflict.
    You can try the suggestions mentioned in these similar discussions :

  • Hello! I need help for Adobe Muse vertical menu! very urgent!!!

    Hello!
    How can i make a menu like this in adobe Muse: http://www.bryanschutmaat.com/
    - vertical menu with vertical submenu
    Thanks!!

    To achieve this, you can use an accordion widget with custum styling.
    IF you search for Terry White, Muse, accordion, you will find some video tutorials on YouTube.

  • Website shifting

    im sure there is some incredibly simple way to fix this, but since i dont know how to google this problem, figured i'd ask for help.
    anytime i make a website that goes past the monitor, the whole site shifts over to the left. its not much of a shift, just three to five pixels. always seems to happen regardless of how many sites i make. usually i let it be, but since im using a collapsible spry, when it opens, it goes below the moniter and shifts in an obvious way. rather unprofessional looking. so...is there some way to get this to stop happening?

    It actually shifts more pixels than that beacuse it moves over to make room for the scroll bar when the page is longer than the browser window.
    There are several different css fixes for this. Here is a couple (and there is more):
    html {
    min-height: 101%;
    or
    html {
    overflow-y: scroll;
    Either works fine. But as I mentione there is plenty of other css fixes for it if you google the right phrase ;-)
