MUSE vs. Creative Cloud

i get MUSE, as a solo app, now for $16.99 a month. If I join Creative Cloud will I no longer be charged for MUSE by itself since it is in Creative Cloud?

Hi oddstick,
That's right, Muse is included in Adobe creative cloud along with other products. Please refer to http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/buying-guide.edu.html for pricing and buying the Creative cloud.

There has to be a way to create a Re: Discover New Parallax Scrolling with Adobe Muse CC | Creative Cloud for Design | Adobe TV slideshow that fills browser width. It's not a problem for desktop, but it is a problem for laptops/tablets/phones.
How did the site in the tutorial do it? Terry said it was created in Muse.
Here is a test site that I've been working on - I would love to make it responsive w/o having to create separate tablet/phone sites:

Are your problems only limited to Muse or are you unable to download and install other Adobe applications through the Adobe Application Manager?

  • Downloaded Muse before Creative Cloud. Muse there but not working, Paid for?

    Hi,
I have just given my bank account details and paid to download Adobe Muse (it said nothing about having Creative Cloud open, etc)... Didn't know if I needed it open?
Anyway, it said 'downloading Muse' I couldn't find it anywhere... then I realised I must need to have Creative Cloud - I installed/Opened Creative Cloud and there it is, Muse - right at the top of the menu... It says it is installed... I can't see it on my Mac HD in the Applications folder though. AND it will NOT open. It says I must uninstall. However, the uninstall feature is shaded out, so I CANNOT uninstall. I use this application at work and I need to be able to use it now.
Please can you tell me how I can get Adobe Muse to work?
    Only other conditions:
    Using Mavericks
Had a trial version of Muse on my machine (forgot to delete - deleted now and move to trashed after an uninstall of that version)
    Thanks - need answer asap
Nobody at Adobe available to help. I need to be using this this weekend. It's not life or death, but it's my JOB on the line here.
ANY advice as to what's gone wrong and how to fix it will be most welcome. Been sat here for ages trying to follow all online forum advice... it may have worked for them, but not for me... oh, and it is NOT showing up in my Uninstaller either....
    Cheers,
    A

Thanks Vivek, They are useless though, I'm afraid... a big corporation like Adobe and not one single bit of help has been give to me over the last 7 days.
But as I have said.... nobody is responding to me... it (your link) just keeps reloading the same old tired pages and say that there is nobody available right now.
Oh, and just in case anybody else is interested, Muse (the one I have just paid a subscription to but have been UNABLE to use it properly from DAY ONE - purchased on December 20th 2014) is NO LONGER WORKING:
Paid for, won't load up - not even start trial works... """Start Trial?""" I am paying for it?
This was my latest message to the '24/7' Chat help (rolls eyes sniggering... 24/7 my a****:
This is getting totally ridiculous now.
Firstly, I have CS5/5.5 versions running on my machine.
Secondly, I paid for and installed Adobe Muse.
Thirdly, Adobe Muse wouldn't launch without telling me to reinstall Application Manager.
Fourth, I kept on reinstalling the Application Manager and Adobe Muse would not work.
Fifth, Adobe Muse 'uninstall' was shaded out, so I could not uninstall that either.
Sixth, Adobe Muse eventually started working, but then ALL of my CS5 software STOPPED working.
Seventh, I disconnected from the internet and Creative Cloud to see if my CS5 software would start to work - no, it did not.
Eighth, I have now logged back into Creative Cloud and it is now saying 'Start trial' for Adobe Muse... remember, the software that I have actually paid for and downloaded has now turned itself into a trial.
I am absolutely fed up to the back teeth.
I am going to cancel my subscription if this new software and my OLD software do not start working today. This is totally ridiculous and has been going on for days and I cannot seem to get ANY help from you guys.
Unfortunately, they didn't have ONE SINGLE MEMBER of staff available on the """""""24/7""""""" 'HELP'line.
    Adobe, you are a joke.
I am calling your number first thing on Monday and if anybody answers (which I doubt) I will be cancelling my subscription and I require a full refund.

  • Installing Muse from Creative Cloud

I can not update or install Muse because it is giving me a installation failed message. It says I have a previous beta version that needs to be uninstalled. I have never had Muse on this computer before creative cloud. I might of had a trial version. Has anyone else had this issue?

  • Not Allowed to use Adobe Muse in Creative Cloud trial

I previously had a month-to-month Adobe Muse subscription and just started the Creative Cloud Trial. Because i had canceled my month-to-month subscription, the Muse application will not let me open files unless I renew my subscription - even though I now have a 1-month trial of Creative Cloud. Is there any way to resolve this so that I can use Muse with this one month trial?
    Thanks in advance

You will not be able to use Muse as a 30 day trial since you already had a month-to-month subscription of Muse.
From the Creative Cloud FAQ here http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/faq.html under General Information:
If I decide to stop my membership, will I still be able to use my Creative Suite software and the other components of Creative Cloud?
When you cancel a month-to-month or annual membership purchased directly from Adobe or let a 3- or 12-month prepaid membership purchased from a retailer expire, you will no longer have access to the CS applications, other desktop software, and services that are components of Creative Cloud. However, if you saved your work to your computer, you will continue to have access to those files. You will also have access to the same benefits as a free Creative Cloud member, which include 2GB of storage space (reduced from 20GB), the ability to sync and store your files, access to a free 30-day trial of the desktop software that has not already been installed and provisioned as part of your paid membership, and access to the free level of services included with Creative Cloud.

  • Can's see Muse file Creative Cloud

I have copied over my Muse file to my Creative Cloud desktop and synced it online.  However, I can only see that the file is there.  I can't interact with it in any way.  See image below.
I need to be able to see the individual pages and click through as if looking at the website itself so the client can see if they like it.
How can I view the file in an interactive way?
    Thanks!

    Hi
You are uploading muse file to creative cloud where it is stored and can be downloaded , but it wont show you the web interaction or the same file action as in Muse.
The file needs to be opened in Muse and then you can check the page contents , if you want to check the site pages you would have to export the site as html and then upload to creative cloud and then on download you can see the pages with local browser preview.
    Thanks,
    Sanjit

  • Upload problems with muse and creative cloud membership

I made my site with Muse. When oploading it refused. I have to take a paid account of creative cloud.
As I have photoshop cc as a paid app, I automaticaly have creative Cloud. And therfore I should have webhosting...
    Is this correct?
    So what to do?

    Hi Dirk,
The five free hosting BC sites is only with the full CC Membership. If you are only paying for the Photoshop Subscription (or any single app) it does not include the hosting.

  • What's New in Adobe Muse CC | Creative Cloud for Design | Adobe TV

Dani Beaumont, Adobe Muse group product manager, shows you how to allow site owners to make simple updates to published sites hosted with Adobe Business Catalyst, how to create stunning 3D-like effects, and other new features such as the Layers panel.
    http://adobe.ly/12yzETS

Great stuff. Very well done, Dani. I think that Muse is one of Adobe's most important products to watch. Let's get the conceptually convoluted and antiquated mechanics behind website design updated into something that allows graphic (and information) designers to easily produce websites that work smoothly.

  • Error "User ID unknown"  - Muse Creative Cloud Crashes

Muse on Creative Cloud Membership Crashes - Error "User ID unknown"  - Is this because I have moved Muse File out of the Documents Directory?

    Zac, thanks!
I actually rebuilt the whole website on Sunday, and followed your
directions— it was a pain but it worked.  What would make that corruption
    in the first place?
I optimized assets, but employed the 1 pixel transparent rule to save a few
images as png before doing so, and they look a lot better. The site ran
    better too.
My understanding is that every time I optimize, the images are burned into
the size that they exist as placed on the site.  So if I want them to be
larger after optimization, I'd have to replace from the larger native file.
    Is this correct?
Can I import CLUTS and swatches into Muse?
What about sound files?  I need to create a site for a musician, and need
sound files attached to images/assets, and downloadable tracks. Can I
    easily accomplish this?
    Thanks, Marian

  • Why move to creative cloud?

I still don't understand why Adobe forcing us to move to Creative Cloud?
All those "benefits" that Adobe served us, is just a marketing trick.
Adobe said something like this: "All the newest updates and features are immediately available to the Creative Cloud users" This is the new benefit? Prior to Creative Cloud updates didn't exist? When Adobe release an update I don't see why "from the box users" also couldn't get them (updates) like Creative Cloud users? In both cases user must download the update (if she/he want to). Also, Adobe said something like this: "For Creative Cloud members updates are available immediately" - this is discriminating to the people who are for some reason couldn't/doesn't want to buy Creative Cloud membership, and who are using "from the box" Adobe software. Why is their money less worthy than the money of the people who are subscribed to the Creative Cloud? When I buy an car with the same interior and with the same engine but in different color than my neighbour's car, I expect to have the same car but in different color. Why that is not the case with Adobe? Those statements are perfidiously way to force people to register with Creative Cloud. I presume that CS7 (or some later edition) will be available only for Creative Cloud users and that Adobe will stop issuing "from the box" editions. Why Adobe won't give users the ability to chose where to spend their money and what to buy and how to use it (online or offline)?
"Every Creative Cloud subscriber have 20GB of storage available"!? Hey! How much HD footage we can store there? With 1-2 TB external HDDs that anyone can buy for 100-150$ Adobe offering us 20 GB of storage as a better solution? What is faster solution: HDD or Cloud service? "Files stored in the cloud are safer than those on user's HDD(s)"?! Anyone at Adobe heard for backup? I have a PC for about 20 years and still haven't any single problem with HDD malfunction. So, Adobe, please tell us what is the REAL reason why you want us to store OUR files on YOUR servers? Anyone can share their files with who ever they want using e-mail (for smaller files), and there is so many FREE web storage services, so why do we need to pay Adobe for something that we already have for free? I can use some free web storage to keep my files there and open them with current Adobe software, directly from network like from HDD, and they will be automatically updated as soon as I save them. Also I can access them from wherever I am and share them with who ever I want. So I really don't see why people buying this marketing trick called Creative Cloud?
Only REAL reason for creating something like Creative Cloud, as far as I can see, is to stop the piracy, and this is something that I really support. But I would really like to see that such a big company stop using those discriminating methods on their users!
I'm using Adobe Premiere from version 6 and After effects from the first edition so many years ago... For all those years, never cross my mind that Adobe might one day discriminate their users in such manner!
Adobe, please give us ability to CHOOSE from equal products - not from the same but different products (at the same time)!
    Thank you!

I'm not here to give a lesson in trade laws. Nor am I defending Adobe.  I'm just telling you that a publicly traded U.S. Corporation like Adobe, Apple or Microsoft must abide by the laws of the land in which they are headquartered.   It's the same for companies whose headquarters are in France, Germany, Singapore, Russia, Japan, etc...
I didn't talk about major updates. I talked about all updates 'cause Adobe said that all updates will be immediately available to the Creative Cloud users (only).
I think you're confused by the differences between a regular cycle update and a major product upgrade.   These are two different things.
Licensed users continue to receive all the regular cycle updates just as before.  And as before, they can't buy a major product upgrade until Adobe officially releases it.  Nothing has changed in that regard.   Perpetual License users still get the updates as they always have.
While it is true that Cloud users don't have to wait as long for major upgrades, it could be argued (and I would not disagree) that Cloud members are being used as "beta testers."  Some of the immediately released upgrades have been sloppy and less than successfully received.  I think that is one downside to this new policy and one which Adobe needs to address in coming months.
I also asked why all Adobe software isn't available for the "from the box" users? Why I can't buy Adobe Muse without Creative Cloud membership?
If "from the box" you mean a Perpetual License, I don't know the answer to that.  All I can say is Muse is a relatively new product.  Perhaps Adobe hasn't determined just how or where MU fits in to the Adobe product family.  Same goes for the Edge products.  You would have to ask Adobe about that.
Incidentally, after May 1st, "boxed" software will no longer be offered.  Adobe Creative Suite products purchased on a Perpetual License will be fulfilled by digital download only.
Creative Cloud users don't have the same opportunities. Adobe forcing users to move to Creative Cloud by giving them immediate updates, more software to buy etc.
It's called incentives and it is fundamental to good marketing.  You have something new you want people to buy so you give them some good incentives for trying it.  I don't have a problem with this.
