Music alarm clock battery draining

I like to be wake up in the morning by music and in windows8 I can choose music for alarm but sound volume cannot be regulated(too loud for me). So I installed aplication music alarm where sound volume for alarm can be regulated but it drain my battery for around 25% during night in flight mode. If I use windows alarm it doesn't drain battery but it is too loud. Does anybody knows better ap or anything else what I can do.

I played with this a bit tonight after discovering that my son's Touch apparently didn't wake with his iHome iH8.
I think that turning off the automatic screen lock on the Touch will prevent it from locking up, and allow the alarm clock to wake up the Touch to play music. I've run a couple quick tests and they seem to corroborate that. I'll let you know how it goes in the morning...
So, you've got a choice: hassle of no music via your iHome, or hassle of disabling the screen lock.

  • Best music Alarm clock app

WHats the best alarm clock app that you can choose your song from your playlist, and the app dosent need to be open
ANd would not drain out your battery?

When you turn the phone off it is just that, it is off. There can't be an alarm app that would work with the phone off.
If all you have running is the alarm clock you will only lose an insignificant amount of charge. Or you could leave it plugged in to the wall charger.

  • Music Alarm Clock

Hi. I was wondering if there is any way to use the ipod touch as an alarm clock that plays music. With my ipod video, it could either play a playlist, or my ihome alarm clock could play it. But with the touch, it cant play music with its own alarm, and the ihome cant wake it up and play it all at once. Does anyone know if there is something that will work? (why would apple take out something thats actually useful like this?)

  • How can I turn my Mac using iTunes into an alarm clock?

Here's my question: How can I turn my Mac, using iTunes, into an alarm clock?
I want to be able to put my Mac to sleep but have it set up so that when it wakes up at the predetermined time iTunes will open and start playing the music I've selected....
    A "musical alarm clock"...
A friend suggested using the Energy Saver option in Sys. Preferences to wake the computer at the right time. He said that then I could use iCal to start iTunes. I would then have to use an Apple Script to get iTunes to play the song I want.
But is there a SIMPLER way to do this? Are there any programs out there that do this already??
    Thanks for any help....

I recently got a copy of AlarmClock Pro from MacWorld UK. It is shareware, I think it is (USD?)19. I haven't had a chance to try it out much, but it does look quite good. I have an older version. The latest version looks even better.
I'm sure there's plenty of freeware apps out there. You might also want to try looking here for an applescript here Doug's AppleScripts for iTunes

  • Itunes as alarm clock

this shouldn't be too hard for all you clever people,
i just wondered if its at all possible to have itunes wake up my imac at a pre decided time and start playing music, so it would work as an alarm clock so to speak.
    Any ideas?
    many thanks
    A.

There is also third party software that work with itunes to become a music alarm clock.
    Google 'iRooster" and "Power Controller".

  • Alarm clock - inaudible

Hello. I have the IPod Nano 5g and when put the alarm for a morning jog, a problem arises.
If you choose to sound the alarm settings - a signal, the morning shows in the dynamics of just one short beep, which you can not hear.
If you choose to sound the alarm settings - playlist, the music playing in the morning not in the dynamics, playing in the headphones, which is also impossible to hear (if I did not sleep with headphones). It turns before each bedtime to remove the headphones from the socket? But it is not practical.
Is it possible to do something to music alarm clock fed to the speaker when the headphones are included? Or at least given a choice in setting the alarm sound - a signal that was a normal tone?
Maybe this can be corrected in the new firmware IPod Nano 5g?
Apologies for the Google-translator. Sincerely, Alex from Ukraine.

  • Alarm clock draining battery

It appears that after I use the alarm clock (as countdown timer), the alarm clock continues to run even after the alarm is finished. I can see it on the usage timer: even when I know I only used the phone for a few minutes, it may give me 4-5 hours usage, and the battery suddenly drains quickly; it appears the alarm clock prevents the phone from going to sleep. It happens when I stop the alarm using the off-button on the top of the phone. If I go in and exit alarm clock, it stops correctly.
Anybody else experienced this? If you have a quick battery drain, it *could be* alarm clock, weird as it may sound. I was very puzzled with why my battery suddenly drained quickly, until I narrowed it down to alarm clock.

    Yeah, it's pretty annoying.

  • Does the alarm clock drain the iPhone 4 battery?

My iPhone 4 battery drains overnight and I was wondering if the alarm clock has something to do with it. If this is not the case, is there a way to not have the battery drain overnight?
Please let me know of anything you know to conserve battery life as much as possible.
    _

Leaving it overnight without charging will use small amount of battery. Reason is that it is still connected to a 3G network which draws some power to maintain a good reception. Anything not in sleep mode will use some battery.
To conserve battery life as much, just keep it in the charger overnight. It will not harm the battery as when the phone is fully charged, the charging stops.
I normally keep my phone in my charger when I'm home, but when I go out somewhere I unplug it.

  • Battery Drain With Alarm Clock Function

This just started happening to me last week.  I have 4 alarms set during the week days...in case I hit the 'Dismiss' button by accident. These alarms have been set since I got my phone in October. Well, last week I noticed that after the 4th alarm had gone off, my battery had gone down to 48% while still plugged into the charger.  This phone is usually on the charger all night with no problems and at 100% by the time I leave for work...until now.  Any ideas why this might be?
I currently am recreating the issue by setting my alarms for PM and seeing if there're any changes.
    Thanks!

I set the alarm clocks for PM.....but of course it didn't do anything abnormal. So I set them again for the AM. The next morning, my alarms went off as usual, and the battery stayed fully charged. So I am at a loss as to what was going on previously.  My only conclusion is perhaps the mini USB was not completely inside the port ????  If anything new happens I'll be sure to post.  So far the past two mornings have gone without a hitch.  Go figure!

  • Does alarm clock drain down our iphones' batteries?

Well, I went to App store and looked for "alarm clock free for iphone." The results appeared are vary. But the question is I don't know if these apps would drain down our iphones' batteries due to the fact that we must run the app through the night in order to show the digital clock and let it wake you up in the morning. Please help me answer this question. Appreciate it!

I have used the phone ( and my BlackBerry in the past ) as a clock, with alarm when and if needed in this fashion for years. ( pretty much all my phones since Lithium ion batteries became the norm, in lieu of NiCad or NiMh ) .... Never had a problem and the original factory battery usually outlived the phone. Battery does get exercised with use in the day, and charge cycles ( the criterion specified for battery life) are significantly reduced.  I suspect one of the 'requirements' to run the battery wayyyyyy down has something to do with re calibrating  the battery gauge , but I personally have never had battery life issues with any phone ( maybe just pure luck, but ..... ). Also, here in the Caribbean, where power black outs aren't uncommon,  its nice to know your trusty cell is charged ....  When the power goes out, it may be 20 min or 4 hrs..... So if/when that happens , I turn off Bluetooth and wifi right away.  With modem & router unpowered, thus no wifi, it will help conserve battery by preventing phone from searching for a signal which ain't there :-)

  • Losing Keychain, WiFi, clock, and last state on battery drain

Recently sent my MacBook Pro (MBP) into the shop to get a new shell put on it. When it was returned, it appears I no longer have Safe Sleep functionality.
    Historically:
Prior to sending the MBP into the shop, if the battery ran low on power, I would receive the standard issue "plug-in to a power source" message. I would save my documents and continue to use the MBP unless, of course, power was readily available. If the battery drained to the point of entering "Safe Sleep" mode, the screen would immediately go black. When I finally plugged into a power source and hit the power button, the "restoring state" progress indicator would come on screen, and eventually I would be returned to the point I left off...consistent with:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.5/en/10328.html
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1757
    *After New Shell:*
Since receiving the MBP back, if I let the battery drain to the point at which it should enter "Safe Sleep" mode, and plug in to a power source I lose the following:
    1. State does not pick up where it left off. Essentially, the computer just shuts down - not enter safe sleep mode.
+After completing reboot (I have Mail, iCal, Safari, and iTunes launch automatically):+
    1. Error message regarding clock, stating that the clock is incorrectly set and to correct: I have to open date & time preferences -> uncheck set date and time automatically -> set the correct time manually (as it seems to be set to the Unix time floor ca. 1969) -> save -> check set date and time automatically.
    2. WiFi password lost: My home WiFi (AirPort Express) does not automatically sign in, I can either re-enter the password and have it save in Keychain again; or, if I can't remember the password, open keychain -> find the network -> display password -> enter admin password -> enter WiFi password into connection dialog - therefore, the password is still stored in keychain, just not being used.
    3. Mail loses keychain passwords as well: When Mail launches it begins asking me for passwords to my email accounts (appears to be based on emails in my inbox) - after entering the passwords multiple times and check "remember password" every time -> force quit (or just quit if the password dialogs stop coming up) -> restart Mail.
    4. Restart iCal and iTunes after connecting to WiFi.
    5. Should be obvious, but want to make sure it is, any other applications I was using or documents I was editing are lost (no previous state information) - similar to shutting down completely (or hard reset).
Today when I tested the workflow again, I did receive the "battery maintenance" warning; however, that has since gone away.
Is this just me? Can anyone duplicate this problem?
    Cheers,
    Josh

  • Is there a fix for battery drain on ipad 2 IOS 5.0.1? drain from 100% to 70% in less than 20min had it on playing music with display off

is there a fix for battery drain on ipad 2 IOS 5.0.1? drain from 100% to 70% in less than 20min had it on playing music with display off

About all that can be suggested is to use the feedback form and talk to Apple. They have communicated with some users, trying to get more info to find out just what the battery drain is so they can fix it. Unfortunately with the myriad of operating systems, apps and individual tweaks, there could be several combinations of settings that are draining the battery.
My personal suspicion is that it has something to do with iCloud and the wifi syncing. (My ipad, before I changed the setting, was reaching out to find a sync on a regular basis. And it may still be doing so, however I set my iTunes to not automatically open to keep my device from trying to sync several times in an evening...not to mention the constant aggravation of iTunes opening regularly)
That said, I could be wrong and it could be an app that users have in common, or several apps.

  • Alarm Clock not repeating custom music

    Hello,
so maybe, this is not an issue for most people, but i have to know, if other recognize this change to.
I´m not waking up so easy in the morning, so I used the Alarm tool of my iPhone daily and was happy, when Apple gave the opportunity for using your own music as wakeup tone. Before updating, I used a regular track for waking up. This constantly repeated itself, as long as i turned it off or used the snooze button. This was very convenient, because I´m not waking up on the first play, so i liked, that my iPhone was not giving up.
But after updating on iOS 8.3, the music stops after he plays the track ones and never repeat it again. If I look on the screen after a while, he still shows the option to use the snooze button, but no tone.
It´s frustrating, because i oversleep twice because of that, so I wondering, why Apple change that. I don´t think, that this is an Software issue, because all of my iOS devices (Phone, Pad, Pod) working the same way now.
Does anyone noticed that change too?
    Regards, Appledomer

Use IHome Sleep. It is great!! You don't need an IHome either!!

  • IPad Air and Music library as alarm clock

Is there a way to use the music in my library on the iPad Air as alerts, like, for an alarm clock? Is there an app or something that will allow me to do this?
    thanks!
    Andy

    Further to above
    Progress Notable!
But before I outline the details, I wish to apologise to APPLE for laying the blame at their doorstep for loosing or misplacing those PDFs I have on the iPad 1, when I set up my iPad Air , by restoring from the backup of iPad 1, thus copying all data from the old to the new.
NOT REALLY THEIR FAULT AT ALL
Because a lot of the many PDFs had the same name, ie PDF.pdf, probably my fault more than anybody else's, so I can't blame APPLE for that. Just goes to show one should be a little more precise in creating these portable documents.
No wonder the poor program " lost its' marbles" when doing the updating and conversion/transfer.
However, I was able to recover most of them by personal email, and extracting and RENAMING the PDFs as I located them in their new home.
Those PDFs that we're locked an thus not email-able , I will deal with by
    Viewing
Photoeing (if that's how you spell it).
And re-building the PDF from the photos, in unlocked format, after transferring these files either by Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, from the old to the new iPad.
So all is not lost, and I am thankful that my cautious approach to this matter in the first place, gave me the ability for this successful recovery.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
I hope this little story of my saga/experience may prove helpful to others yet to cross the chasm of updating.
    Regards to all, including APPLE.
    NICE STUFF YOU MAKE.

  • Alarm clock dock speeding up music

    Hey folks.
Got a new iPhone 4 8GB running on iOS 5.0.1 stock and an iPod touch 2nd Gen 32GB running jailbroken 3.1.2.
Both these devices, when the alarm goes off with music, the music is slightly faster then normal. Somewheres between 1.1X-1.25X the speed of what the song should be. (checked with friends, they notice it too, so I'm not crazy!) This happens on both devices, been happening on the ipod for probably a month or two, just got the iphone a few days ago. Restored the iPhone after noticing the issue is still happening, and it made no effect.
This only happens when the alarm goes off with the devices connected, and will actually still continue to happen on the devices themselves for anywheres from 4hours-2 days. I don't power off or power cycle my devices daily and can't figure out what stops the song speed up from happening.
I hit the reset pinhole switch on the bottom of the alarm clock, then took out the power cable and batteries, left it like that for an hour. Still happening after.
    http://www.hd.ca/jvc_canada/rap1.php
That is the alarm clock there, I honestly cannot figure this out. Been poking Google and Bing but nothing yet. Anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks,
    ~Lac

I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store  and take the iPods and dock.
If you look at the dock connectors on the iPods do they look damaged? Like bend contact or broken plastic pieces?
Also, are you fully seating the iPods in the dock?
