Music and photos are not synching through icloud
Just purchased an I-phone 6. My 4s was backed up to icloud. After restoring using icloud only about 20% of my music and 50% of my photos were transferred. Am I not doing something?

I guess i dont understand the pupose of itunes and its worth. I thought it backed up all my photos and music, but apparently not. Your content will only be where you put it. It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
You can transfer itunes purchases from your iphone: File>Device>Transfer purchases.
You can import your pics taken with the iphone as you would with any digital camera.
You can e-mail the other pics to yourself, they will never be of the original quality.
You can out a unique contact and calendar entry on the computer. You should get the option to merge the data when you sync. -
My calendars are not synching through iCloud
Big frustration: For some reason I can't fathom my iPhone, iPad and Mac are no longer synching when I update a calendar on one of the devices. I've gone into preferences and turned on and off the calendar, deleted the iCloud account and reinstalled, and still nothing. Why is this happening suddenly and what is the best long-term fix. I'm highly dependant on my devices keeping up with my life. Thank you.
We need more info. Are you saying you've lost all calendar info on all devices, or are the events you had still there, but the problem is with NEW events added on one device not showing up on the others?
Are you having similar problems with the other databases, like contacts and notes?
To check whether a new event from one device is even making it to icloud, log into icloud.com with a computer's browser and look at the calender there. If the event does not show up, then the device is not sending the data to icloud. If the event is there, then icloud is not able to send the data to the other device(s). -

I also have this problem, just from the iPhone 5s which makes my life crazy, too.
The problem of having multiple devices doesn't seem to help, but the odd part is when everything I am doing is correct, it still doesn't sync like it used to do before iCloud, and when we had to USB wire connect the iPhone to the Laptop to make contacts sync.
Might I add that I am not using MAIL on my LAPTOP?
but ?Britty sounds like her issue is easier as gmail sometimes can create duplicates so you are in good if you are not having that problem or nightmare...

My contacts and groups are not duplicated in iCloud but my groups are duplicated on iPhone and iPad. Any ideas on how to remove duplicate groups or why they are duplicating?

Check that you don't have more than one account in your contacts, such as 'iCloud' and 'On My Phone'. -
If you have an itunes acct that was not set up to share and the lap top it was on is no longer working, is there a way to open up the old itunes acct to get music and photos off of it? This was before Icloud was available. Can you reset your itunes password somehow?
iTunes and the iTunes Store won't have anything to do with your photos. Those would be stored only on your laptop unless you made a backup of some sort. If you didn't, and the hard drive in your laptop has failed, then your photos are gone unless you wish to pay a disk recovery service a lot of money to try and get them back.
As to your music, if you purchased it from the iTunes Store you can probably re-download it. Go to the iTunes Store, log into your account, and click the Purchases link under the Quick Links. From there you should be able to re-download some or all of your purchased content. Note that not all content has been licensed for re-downloading in all countries at this time. This is weird, i am not good at open inquiry.. but think something simple is not set. I did have synching initially when accepted icloud synch, instead of direct connect of iphone and PC. Something has changed on Calendars and thus appts are not synching. HELP!
If new events added to your phone are not appearing on your calendar on icloud.com, one thing to check on your phone is Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar. This should be set to your iCloud calendar. Then add a new event on your iPhone calendar and see if it syncs to icloud.com properly.
If your settings are correct and new events on your phone are still not syncing to your calendar on icloud.com, add any missing events on your iPhone to your calendar on icloud.com. Once the calendar on icloud.com is up to date, go to Settings>iCloud, turn Calendars to Off, choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted (your calendar will still be in iCloud), then after a minute or so, turn Calendars back to On. Then add a new event to your phone and see if it syncs to icloud.com now. -
All of my music is gone. I have no idea how to get it back and Im worried because it isnt showing up on available downloads.
Isn't iTunes 10.5 r 9 a beta release for developers? If that's the case then isn't there a special web site for developers to discuss issues (and they are not supposed to discuss them on the public forum)? If you're not a developer and have this through unofficial channels then I'm not sure you can expect full functionality.

All of my music and photos are on my iphone. I want to transfer them to my new PC. How do I do it?
My old PC crashed. All of my songs and photos are on my iphone. I want to transfer my (1) photos to my new computer, and (2) my 2800 songs (only 300 or so of which I purchased through iTunes) to iTunes on my new PC. I have tried everyhting! I can see the about 300 songs (must be the ones I purchased on iTunes) in iTunes on my new PC. I can see the other 2500 songs in iTunes on my new PC, but they are in gray font and I can't play them. I need to clean songs and photos off of my iphone ASAP because it is full and doesn't work well, but I don't want to do so if there is a risk that I will loose them or have to reload 300 music CDs to my new computer.

Audio and video are not synched
I'm just beginning with FXP X (8), and just added a file to my event library, and created a new project. Dragged my first clip into the story line, and discovered that the audio and video are not syched. This is original footage from a video camera, no modifications or added tracks. But clearly the words of the speaker on camera are not synched with the video, both in the event library and in the story line clip. Is this operator error (lol)? TIA for any help, I'm stuck on square one.
You can right click on your clip in the storyline and Detach Audio.
After that, you can slide the audio until it's in sync or if it changes sync over the length of the clip, there is a way to correct that as well.
First, in the video, skim the playhead until you can see something that will "mark" a specific start of a sound and set a Marker (type M). Then select the audio portion (already detached) and find the start of the matching sound and type M (adds marker to the audio.) Turn on snapping and slide the audio until the two markers snap.
If you need to correct sync drift, use the same technique for markers near the end of the clip, but instead of sliding the complete audio clip, Retime the audio clip (type command-R) (set the playhead over the video marker - snapping won't work when retiming) and adjust the end of the audio until the two markers match up. Preserve Pitch (from the Retime menu) should already be selected.

What can I do to see items that I have purchased but upgraded to iTunes Plus? They are not showing in my iCloud as purchased, but I still can see the original protected versions from old backups. The original was downloaded with my iMac but the computers hard drive has burned out and needs to be replaced.

Thank you.Thanks for the reply although I'm not too happy to hear it. What's awesome about the cloud is no longer having to keep up with any physical media. The promise of that is realized with everything else (my work, music, books) besides movies and TV.
I wonder how Google Play will handle movies/tv that becomes unavailable? Google Play does allow you to download media in some circumstances (on Android and iOS) but is generally intended for streaming. Maybe relying on a physical copy as I do with iTunes should make me more comfortable with it and not less.

please help, i have smashed my iphone 4 and the screen is black, but phone is still turned on and ringing. i had set it up icloud on my phone and pc before hand but not sure if i did it correctly as no photos are showing up on my pc, is there anyway i can get the photos from my phone to icloud via the pc, not being able to use the phone atall? or would i need to go on setting on the phone? please help i really need the photos of my children
Don't try to use iCloud for this. Instead, import them to your computer using your usb cable as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083. That will import photos and videos from your camera roll. You might also want to back it up before repairing or replacing it. You can do this by connecting it to your computer, opening iTunes, then going to File>Devices>Back Up; and to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases. This backup can later be restored to your repaired or replaced phone to recover your data.
