Can you add music on a second track to a voice over?

I think there have been mentions here of a future version - containing what new features I don't know. I guess now Audition 3.0 is released they can turn their attention back to Soundbooth.

I am having the same problem with my iTunes. Support had me uninstall everything and reinstall iTunes again thinking it was corrupt. I did that and it worked for a couple of days. Now they say that cannot help since it is iTunes and not my iPhone and sent me here. Sometimes I can get it to work sporadically if I reboot my laptop a couple of times, but I have rebooted a few times already and nothing plays...no song previews, nothing from my library. iPods and iPhone play fine, it is isolated only to iTunes and is super frustrating. I get the same task bar up top as if it were going to play, but the play timer doesn't start. Help please!!!

Background music and voice.

Is it possible to have both background music and voice narration in the same slide? I would like the music to start and then gradually fade when the voice begns talking. I am using Captivate 4 but will soon be going to Captivate 6.

This can be achieved in multiple ways ..
Option-1:
Captivate provides you Background audio. Import an audio file for your background music as a background audio. Follow the menu "Audio > Background audio"
Then import your narration on your slide and time it appropriately.
Option-2:
Import your background music on your slide and let ut fade as per your need.
Add a transparent text caption object and import audio to the caption. Time the object such that it plays once the slide background audio fades out.
Hope this is useful.
Captivate 6 has better control over background audio as compared to Captivate 4. You can give it a try.

How can I remove accessibility text and voice over from the logon screen?

Before I log on to my Mac, in the logon screen I get accessibility text and voice over features enabled all the time. I can remove them by pressing cmd + f5 several times until they're gone (while I'm still in the logon screen). I would like to remove them permanently so that they never appear in the logon screen.

Can you provide an example? I've been trying (for
example) "select translate(' test one', ascii(' '),
'X') from dual" with no luck.

The screen is locked on my 4S and voice over is on. I can not operate any of the buttons. How can I unlock the screen to turn off the voice over.

Thanks for the tip I will try it the next time I make the same mistake. I got out by one single tap to the "slide to open"followed by two more quick taps.This unlocks screen , then use three fingers to swipe the screen to get to the screen for "settings" Open settings, go to availability, then turn off Voice Over.

If VoiceOver is on and you want to turn it off from the device instead of from iTunes, remember that a double-tap acts like a single tap and you need to use three fingers to scroll when VoiceOver is on:
Press Home.
Tap Settings. Then double-tap Settings.
Tap General. Then double-tap General.
Use three fingers on the screen to scroll to Accessibility.
Tap Accessibility. Then double-tap Accessibility.
Tap VoiceOver. Then double-tap VoiceOver.
Tap "On" next to VoiceOver. Then double-tap "On" to turn it off.

Not clear just wht you have done...do you have a passcode set and did you misentering the passcode? If so you need to restore using the recovery mode described in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212

How do I choose which audio track to put music and voice on?

When I add music to the timeline the right and left stereo music goes to tracks far part, as well as voice over. I am also having problems getting a music file on the same track as the one before it. How can I keep them close together?
I have several blank audio tracks open on the time line. How can I close some of them?

Manually manage music and voice memo's

Good morning all, so I can't figure this out, If I have my iTunes set to manually manage music and videos how do I synch my voice memo's? Last night when I was doing that it seemed to me I had to change it to synch selected songs and once I checked Voice Memo's it emptied my iPhone of all the music. Is that right, or am I missing something? Thanks for your help!

thanks for the reply but I was hoping to find out where they go on the Mac, from the Finder point of view... where are the actual files after syncing any iPhone with voice memo recordings on it ?
The answer is, at least for me, they go to the root level of your iTunes Music folder. There they will be given a date such as:
20091012 185152.m4a
These recordings seem to play fine on my:
Quicktime Player 7
Quicktime Player Snow Leopard version

CK-20W Music and Voice does not pass through Car A...

Hi...
I just bought a CK-20W from a store and install in the Car Audio shop, guess what I bought a new head unit in order to use the multimedia function through out the mobile phone Music Player.
All installation is 100% follow by the instruction.
The problem is the Music or Voice just went through the Mono Speaker, which provide with the set.
There's Beep sound in background some like 1-2 times every 5 minute through the Car Audio System.
However I went to two Car Audio Shop and both of them confirmed the installation is 100%. We also try to use MP3 direct into AuxIn of the head unit and it works fine.
So I confirmed, there's nothing wrong with the installation, or the Car Audio System.
Can somebody tell me what I did wrong or some settings might need to complete.

I really appreciated for your reply.
a) My Phone is Nokia N80 (V5.0719.0.2) 24-05-2007 RM-92
b) My car head unit is Pioneer DEH-P7950UB
c) My installation option is B1
d) My CK-20W has stereo mode, tells from low beep and indicator light flashes in the rhythm of the beeps.
When I connect MP3 direct with 3.5mm with the same cable to AuxIn of the head unit the music is fine.
When phone paired to the CK-20W and then call my phone the head unit did not mute the MP3 audio because I disconnected the car radio mute.
The beeps or buzz sound comes from all speakers in the car like in stereo mode. I try to disconnected the AuxIn cable from CK-20W no beeps or buzz sound at all, so it must be from the CK-20W.
*** What I can do for now to play MP3 out of my phone is to be able to use only the supplies speaker, which the quality of the sound is not quite good. ***
I really thank you for your kind question, I hope I'd answer all the question correctly.
Please let me know what I should do with this because in Thailand CK-20W is quite new, and I asked NOKIA Thailand they said it must be less than 50 people who's using this.

Using iBooks and Voice Over

I have encountered a problem with iBooks on my iPad. When I activate Voice Over to read the book out loud, then iPad screen goes black.
I have found that the only way to restore the screen is to connect the iPad to my iMac and then change the settings.
Any comments, please!

You do not need to put your phone in recovery mode just to turn off VoiceOver. If you have Siri enabled and set to work in the lock screen, tell Siri "Turn off VoiceOver".
If you don't have Siri enabled, you can still unlock the phone. You need to tap each number twice to get it to register. Then, when you get into the phone, triple-tap on the home screen to turn it off. Or, keep tapping twice on everything. You'll need to go to Settings>Accessibility>Voice Over>Off.

EXPORT FUNCTIONS AND VOICE OVER FEATURES

OKAY. WHILE I HAVE HAD MUCH SUCCESS WITH KEYNOTE THERE ARE STILL SOMETHINGS THAT I EITHER TO COMPLAIN ABOUT OR JUST NEED TO BE TAUGHT HOW TO DO IT. FIRST WHEN I EXPORT TO A QUICKTIME FILE IT ALLOWS YOU TO SET THE TIMING PER SLIDE FOR THE WHOLE .MOV. THE TIMING IS NOT INDIVIDUAL FOR THE SLIDE BUT FOR ALL SLIDES IN THE MOVIE. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE INDIVIDUAL TIMING FOR EACH SLIDE IN THIS EXPORT FEATURE!
SECOND, I WANT TO BE ABLE TO ADD A VOICE OVER THAT TRANSLATES TO EXPORT SO I CAN PLAY THE PRESENTATION IN QUICKTIME FORMAT AND HAVE MY AUDIO TO PLAY WITH IT. DO YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS?

When I need to take a Keynote presentation and add audio or vary the length of slides I export the presentation as a Quicktime movie and do the voiceover in iMovie where I can easily edit the presentation
