You can try resetting your iPad by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists.

I wanted to add something here that may or may not be accurate, since I was suffering the exact same issues (on an iPhone 6+, and replicated on an iPhone 5 patched to 8.0) you were describing Nick. In an effort to trouble shoot this I picked up one of the third party tools that allows you onto the iOS device file system. I've been trying since Friday night to reproduce the conditions that cause the issue but haven't quite narrowed it down. Including this here in case the Engineers are poking around in the discussion boards and are trying to reproduce this.
This is an iPhone 6+ running 8.0 (12A366) connecting physically to iTunes 11.4 on a MBP running 10.9.5 (13F34; fully patched).
Here's what I did last night and this seems to have worked (meaning, I can sync music now without issue at least for syncs this morning; will confirm tonight by syncing again):
Turned off iTunes Match on the iTunes library I am syncing from
Unchecked all non-AAC music files (Apple lossless and MPEG audio both; these were just flat out refusing to copy over, claiming to have copied but coming up with the exclamation point when accessed on the device via iTunes; none of these lossless or mp3 files have been an issue in any previous version of iOS, meaning they are all of the correct sample and bitrate to be used and can sync to other devices in the household running iOS 7)
Removed all music from the iOS device (by deselecting music syncing)
Hard rebooted the iOS device after disconnecting it; rebooted the iTunes library host
Reconnected the iOS device and fired up the third party app (this is the part I do not recommend, but I was eager to try to figure out what the root cause was)
Removed the iTunes library files on iOS (this is something I had done between other factory resets earlier to force the iOS device to rebuild the library; to rule out library corruption)
Removed any "music" folders remaining on the iOS device (this is also something I had done a few times which had had no effect)
Removed any saved artwork (this was something I had not done before, but I too had noticed a strange correlation between it stopping working and the artwork being synced)
Disconnected and rebooted the iOS device again (forcing a recreation of the iTunes library database files)
Reconnected the device and started syncing small playlists (50-100 songs). In increments it all seems to be syncing up now without issue
The two new steps this time around that seem, at least at initial glance, to have solved the problem are stopping syncing any non-AAC music media files and the deletion of the existing artwork folders on the iOS device. Syncing appears to be working, even after disconnecting and reconnecting the device. -

A little back story as of how this happened, I recently upgraded my iPhone 4S to iOS8 and found out that it was rather laggy on this outdated device, thus, i decided to downgrade back to iOS7.1.2 using a IPSW restore. Thereafter, my apps, contacts, remotely everything was gone when my device booted up from the restoration. I manually downloaded my apps back, iCloud seemed to get my contacts back, but whenever i open my music app, it's always at the album tab and when i attempt to access the 'songs' tab, it just crashes automatically. Tried hard resetting the phone, restarting and what not, it all did not work at all. Also, it is notable that after my restoration back to iOS7.1.2, i could no longer sync my phone to my laptop, with errors like 'syncing cannot be finished because session cannot be finished' Everything is working fine except for the sycning issue and that my music isn't working at all.You restored it?

Music App Not Working -- iTunes Match
I have been having trouble with the Music App on my iPhone 4S ever since I enabled iTunes Match when it became publicly available. I am running iOS 5.0.1 and here is a description of the problem:
When I play a Smart Playlist that I had developed before adopting iTunes Match, sometimes the downloaded songs (i.e., no iCloud icon) will play and sometimes they will not play. For example, this morning during my workout, the music played flawlessly for about 45 minutes and then for some unseen reason stopped playing. Additionally, sometimes when the songs do play, the wrong Artwork, Artist, and/or Song displays (i.e., different from what's actually playing.
Here are some of the different things I've tried to isolate whatever variable might be causing the problem:
Deleting the Music App from the Multitasking memory.
Restarting the iPhone (i.e., powering off with Sleep button and turning back on).
Disabling iTunes Match on the phone.
Playing songs from the Songs area instead of from the Smart Playlist
Not using shuffle
Hard restart (i.e., holding Home and Sleep button simultaneously and powering phone back on).
None of these attempts has solved the problem, insofar as I can tell.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so, how can this be fixed?
My next step is to sync my iPhone via USB and wipe all of the music off and discontinue using iTunes Match on my iPhone and just sync the playlists I want from time-to-time. :-/I feel your pain. I'm having a ton of issues with iTunes Match also. It happens on both my iPad 2 and iPhone 4, but is more frequent on my iPhone. I download a bunch of music from the cloud and it works for a few days, but then it will randomly do as you describe. It says that it's "playing" but does nothing at all. Even if I skip a track and try again but nothing happens. It may later play the tracks on another day (I didn't do anything differently). Other times it just skips over a few songs acting like its not even on the phone.
I've deleted my library and redownloaded more times that I can count. I'm pretty frustrated and I hope that apple fixes this soon! I can understand why you want to revert back to the old way of syncing your music, however I would really rather have the product (that I've paid for) work as advertised. Anyways, if I can't get it up and running again later this weekend I'll revert back to the old way also seeing how I can't even listen to music on my device anyways. -

Solved!
Go to Solution.- Go to Settings -> Apps -> All -> Music -> Force Stop, Uninstall updates, Clear data and restart your phone.
- Go to Play store and re-update your Music app.

You plug your phone in to your Mac or PC and when Itunes pops up go to select on your phone on the right hand side. Then click on Apps (in the center of the itunes menu). Then Scroll to the bottom where it says File Sharing and then select the app you want to transfer the music from your phone to you computer. Hightlight the files you want and click Save To.

My Music app stopped working yesterday in the middle of a podcast. The screen was frozen, although the scroll of the title at the top continued. I had to unplug the earbuds to pause the podcast, but since then, I haven't been able to get another podcast/song to start, and the screen is frozen on the podcast that it was on yesterday. All the other apps on my iTouch work fine. I'm on OS5.I was plugged in to a power source at work (not my PC) when it happened, but I've synced since then, and it's still locked up. Help!

5800 music library not working..
my 5800's music library is not working anymore and it cant play mp3 and other sound files.. but when i remove the memory card..it can play the sounds..also my picture editor is not working..

You can format the card if you want, but that would also bring problems on the apps if you do not uninstall them first as your phone will read then as not uninstalled properly and you wont be able to download them again from Ovi Store. So when you format it, just copy your own files (music, pictures, etc) and leave everything else alone.
How exactly does your music player not work anymore. Has it stopped showing songs? Cant it refresh?

Had the same problem as you. App would terminate when launched.
Solution to working You Tube app:
-Go to playstore
- Uninstall app (it doesn't remove the app, only removes the update)
- "Et Voila", working again.
This doesn't correct the problem, it's just a workaround for you to be able to use youtube app again.

Office Web Apps 2013 - Word app not working on Sharepoint 2013 but Excel does

We had some problems with Office Web Apps 2013 not working with Lync, and the status of OWA was unhealty so we decided to install some updates for OWA.
We have downloaded November 2013 update for OWA.
We found out a guide for putting updates on OWA and done this steps:
* Remove-OfficeWebAppsMachine
* Installed the november update
* Restarted OWA server
* ran: New-OfficeWebAppsFarm -InternalUrl https://owasrv.domain.local -ExternalURL
https://owasrv.domain.local -CertificateName "certname" -AllowHttp -EditingEnabled
* Restart-Service WACSM
- checked in IIS in the bindings if the site useses the correct certificate
Then we went on Sharepoint 2013 and ran some commands:
* Remove-SPWOPIBinding –All:$true
* New-SPWOPIBinding -ServerName owasrv.domain.local
* Set-SPWOPIZone –zone “external-https”
Now here are the funny things:
* Excel word app on Sharepoint 2013 works
* Word APP not working (screenshot)
* Lync 2013 powerpoint still not working (screenshot)
* status of OWA is healthy

Default Mail app not working with yahoo mail. Won't update.

It stopped working the other day. I tried everything but it wouldn't update new mail. The yahoo account itself is fine because I can see new mail on Yahoo or a yahoo app.
I tried deleting the account and putting it back on, but now it has 0 mail in any part of it. Nothing has synced.

iPad 2 latest OS.A lot of people have been unable to access Yahoo e-mail on their iPhones or iPads. My wife’s iPad was not downloading Yahoo mail, although her iPhone was. Both used IOS 8.2. We tried deleting the account several times and troubleshooting all of the other settings. The problem appears to have been that allowing the IOS to automatically create the account on the iPad resulted in the wrong settings for the incoming server. The following procedure, pieced together from two websites, fixed the problem for us. So far, so good.

Creative cloud desktop app not working in win 8.1. The window is blank, only the header is visible. I've tried reinstall and shut down ESET firewall, but nothing is working. I use the same plan in work on win 7 and it's ok. Please help, maybe some Win 8.1 update? An by the way, when I update my CC app, everything on my desktop disappear and I must reboot system to fix it, this is not normal as well...
