Music being deleted when i plug shuffle to PC

Please tell me there is a way to disable my ipod from
having its music deleted when i plug it into my pc
with an empty music library. I'll add music to my
ipod, then disconnect it. If i delete the music i
added to my ipod from my itunes library, then connect
the ipod again, my upod gets updated and the music is
deleted. Why does this happen?
Simply put... because that's the way it works.
Should you just want to charge the Shuffle witout opening iTunes, UNcheck "Open iTunes..." in the Settings tab in iTunes, being sure to click on "Apply".

The original photstream instructions, and the current photostream information page on the apple website, say that photos on your pc or mac computer that have been synced by photostream are permanent but the latest updatge seems to have changed that so when items are deleted from any device they are deleted from all devices, including images that have gotten older and have rolled out of photostream on my iphone. I trusted photostream to save these images on my computer and now they appear to be gone. Can I turn off the option of deleting photostream images from my computer or do I need to copy these images to another folder to save them from being deleted when they are deleted from the device.

Downloads being deleted when Firefox closes

Since the latest update of Firefox my latest downloads are being deleted when I exit the browser. What I have to do to get around this problem is to copy the downloaded files and past them elsewhere before I close the browser. I have uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it again but the problem still persists. ANy help would be appreciated as its very annoying.

I'm not sure why you wrote above: Cookies - OFF if you were clearing cookies.
Clearing cookies that way also clears cookies (including Flash local storage), so I would have suggest that if cookies were included in that list.
That is why I posted to check in Safe mode because that would be another possibility.
To summarize:
In case you are using "Clear history when Firefox closes":
*do not clear Cookies
*do not clear Site Preferences
Clearing cookies will remove all specified (selected) cookies including cookies that have an allow exception.
*Tools > Options > Privacy: History: [X] Clear history when Firefox closes > Settings

Note that clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and passwords.
Let all cookies expire when you close Firefox.

Make an Allow exception for the ones that you want to keep.

I have the same problem (deleted email account). I think I mistakenly set up an account when I was buying an Apple product online, not realizing that it would be the same ID as my iTunes.

Trackstarts are being deleted when cutting a region?

Right now I'm working on a live album and it's the first time I'm working with WaveBurner. I've got several wave files of a gig which I'd like to burn onto a CD.
Everytime when I cut a region (in order to get rid of seconds of crowd noise between two songs which I don't want on the album) my track starting points are being deleted.
I think I'm doing something wrong but I can't find why... I'm working with WaveBurner 1.6.

I think I've already found the problem myself:
For some reason, the track start markers are connected to the 3rd region in the edit window. The problem with this is that (for instance) the first track start marker has a starting point of -37:14 (negative, relative to the starting point of the 3rd region.
Can anyone tell me what the point is for this feature?

My Music Gets Deleted When I Close Itunes

Ok I am having a horrible time with Itunes, I have a lot of songs and about a week ago I rented a movie, which has never worked for me. When I went to play the movie my computer froze and I had to turn it off. When I turned it back on all my music was gone, not from my computer just from Itunes. Then I played around with it and I found out the my music gets deleted anytime I turn off Itunes. I un installed and reinstalled three times still no luck. I tried a couple of other things but to no avail. So please help

when installing itunes, do you search your computer for mp3s(music)?
I strongly recommend using a Library path like C:\Music\ as your Itunes Library,
That path is easier to user than the normal one Itunes provides, because its short and also easy to find if you want to copy your music lets say to a mp3 player or a external hardrive.
That way you can just reinstall itunes, go to edit->options->advanced (i dont know the exact english words) and set your library to your Music folder.
Now you can simply add your folder to your library (make sure you uncheck "copy music to my itunes folder first, and afterwards recheck that option if you need it - I am unsure if Itunes would just double your library if u didnt).
Adding folders to your Library is in the Data menu.
If closing itunes now it should save the library just fine.

Signature field is being deleted when pdf is uploaded - what can I do?

I was contacted by another administrator who was having trouble uploading the latest version of a pdf form online. Everything looks great in Adobe Acrobat X and Reader, but when we put the document on our website, the signature fields are being deleted, and the tab order changes.
When users want to look at the document, they must download it, so it's not in the browser when this happens (I know this can make a difference). Signatures are allowed, and field forns are allowed on this pdf. Is there some other setting that could be messing things up?

Does this happen when the Adobe plugin is used in the browser, or a
different one? My guess is it's the internal PDF plugin of the browser used
(Firefox, Chrome and Safari have one), which is probably causing this
behaivour.

TS1538 I have the new version of itunes and my ipad, my daughters ipod touch and her ipod mini are not being recognized when we plug in to itunes

I want to sync my iPad and when I plug the USB cable to it, itunes doesn't recognize it. I have the latest itunes version, I've turned off and turn back on my iPad, I've shutdown and restarted my computer a few times. I just bought a few tv shows and it just won't sync. I was able to sync my old iPod touch, but my daughters new iPod touch is not reconized and neither is her new iPad mini.

Apps deleting when i plug into itunes

when i plugged my ipod touch into itunes, because none of my purchased apps were working becasue of the flash memory, all of my recent pruchases (30 or so apps and a movie (zombieland)) got removed from my ipod so i am wonder if you will pay fora llnew apps and movies or how do i get them back on my ipod touch?

Was the computer you connected to the one that you used to put the content on the iPod originally?
You can download Apps again as many times as you like for free, Apple allow you to do this.
You cannot download the movie again. You should have transferred that to iTunes when you connected the iPod, before you restored the software.

I reset iPod 2G for a friend and now it needs an update however it is not being recognized when I plug it into iTunes. How do I fix this so he can use it for games?

When I plug the iPod touch into my mac, iTunes comes up however it doesn't show the iPod in the left menu area. I'm very illiterate in all of this.

They should not be, they should be synced to the computer.
Before syncing , click File>Transfer Purchases if you want to be sure.

Hello, can anyone tell me why my photos that have already been downloaded on my ipod are deleted when I download new photos. This happens every time I go to download new photos to the ipod. Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere? I download my photos manually. I can't seem to find an anwser to this anywhere. Please help. Thanks

I have heard of this happening, but I never saw a resolution. Sorry.
The only thing I may could suggest is moving the contents of your photo folder into a folder temporarily. Leave that photo folder that your iPod syncs with empty. Have your iPod sync and clear all of the photos off. Disconnect. Then move those photos back into that folder. Reconnect and have it sync. If you have already tried that, then I'm sorry I couldn't help anymore.

Music being interrupted when using the internet

So yeah I listen to my music with itunes when i'm using the net and so often when a page loads or i'm scrolling down a page, the music i'm listening to pauses for a split second and continues..( like when you listen to a cd using a portable cd player and the song skips when the player is moved too fast or bumped). It's just annoying when it happens all the time, the song is constantly interrupted.
Can anyone help?

My crummy little 5-yr-old laptop does this, too. It barely meets the specs for itunes anymore. The specs are shown on the itunes download page.
It's not as bad when I only have itunes and one browser window open, but anything else, and it's pretty much useless for listening to music.
