Music cuts off

Some songs purchased through I-Tunes Store cut off before completion of the song. Can anything be done about this?

Are you sure the problem is in the track and not in the playback? If it only happens to certain tracks, and always at the exact same point, the problem is probably in the track itself. In that case, report the defective purchase to iTunes Customer Service.

  • Music cuts off on three tracks about 30 seconds in and skips to the next. how do i fix it?

I downloaded an album and the music cuts off on three of the tracks about 30 seconds in and skips to the next. can i fix it, if so how??, i would really like these tracks for when im running and its driving me nuts

    Hey Apollo10,
That definitely sounds frustrating. If the songs are not playing fully in iTunes, they may need to be redownloaded. After you have redownloaded the songs, they should play fully and you can enjoy them when you go running. If not, please let me know.
Songs in iTunes may not play back completely
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4357
    Symptoms
Occasionally, if a song purchased from the iTunes Store on a Mac or PC was not downloaded completely, the song may not play back fully. The song may abruptly stop during playback, and iTunes may start playing the next song in your library or playlist.
    Resolution
If iTunes in the Cloud is available in your country, try the following steps to resolve the issue:
    1. Delete the purchased song that is exhibiting the problem from your iTunes library.
    2. Click on the Purchased link in the iTunes Store to view your previously purchased music.
    3. Download your previously purchased song from this list.
Note: iTunes in the Cloud, which allows you to download previously purchased songs from the iTunes Store, is not available in every country. Learn if iTunes in the Cloud is offered in your country
    Thanks,

  • Music cut-off problem of iPhone 4S & Sony bluetooth earphone XBA-BT75 in iOS 5

Does anybody have the same device and issue as mine?
I'm using iPhone 4S and Sony bluetooth earphone XBA-BT75. They were a perfect pairing in iOS 5.
But I noticed irregular music jittering or something as soon as I updated to iOS 6.
It's interrupted like bluetooth 2.1 or lower. I can't even hear the whole one song comfortably!
Do I have to sit down calmly and put the iPhone right beside my receiver?
(XBA-BT75 could receive without cut-off through a fire front door in iOS 5.)
If this issue is caused by bluetooth 4.0 of iOS 6, please give us a solution. The device supports bluetooth 3.0.
Of course I'll also report this problem to Sony.
I never go anywhere without music...Please don't frustrate me any more, Apple.
    P.S.
It's only my opinion but it seems to happen more often when Wi-Fi is activated.

Thank you very much for your answer, diesel vdub.
Of course I paired them again..I've already tried everything that you suggest.
So I had to visit here. (sigh-)
Anyway I didn't know my iPhone had already had bluetooth 4.0.
Thank you for giving me the information. That means bluetooth 4.0 isn't the cause of the problem but it's true that bluetooth users have got similar issues at this version compared to old version.

I think this is not an issue of the specific receiver.
I need to know how to fix this problem whatever it caused.

  • Last seconds of music cut off

Last few seconds of the songs on my iPod are getting cut-off. The song stops near the end, then there is silence for a period of time before the next song begins. If it is a longer song, more of the song gets cut-off and there is a longer period of silence.
I have tried to reset it, but that isn't helping. Right now I am travelling and do not have access to my computer, but I have access to other computers. Any advice? Thanks!
    Dell Dimensions (2003)   Windows XP

Basically, what you can do is this:
Connect your iPod to a computer and enable "manually manage music"
Then you're able to see the music on the iPod itself
Click on the triangle to the left of the iPod in the source list, and click on "music"
Right click on one of the problematic songs, and click Get Info
    Click the options tab
There's an option that says "stop time" which basically means you can make a song stop at a certain point
If that's selected, it may be the cause of the issue
If not, it could be something else going on. When you're back at your own computer, see if your songs play properly in your own iTunes Library. If they do, try restoring your iPod and loading your music back onto it. If they don't, you may need to either restore the music from a backup, or import those CD's again, and then sync the iPod.

  • Re:music cuts off

I forgot to add that when the song cuts off, it goes to the next song, but displays the correct minutes for the song that cut off!

If you are in a country where re-downloading is possible (iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match Availability by Country - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5085), delete the track (and the original file) and download again (Downloading [using iOS or computer] past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519).  See tips on downloading in https://discussions.apple.com/message/19097773, especially unchecking the "Allow Simultaneous Downloads" box in the downloads tab of iTunes.

  • Music cuts off for no reason

For some odd reason my music just cuts out at a certain point leaving no audio. Despite my attempts at deleting the music and bringing it back in again it still drops out. Kind of confused as to what to do.
10.5 Macbook. Plenty of ram. Latest iMovie
    Thanks for any help

Its a known bug and well documented in previous posts. Seems to happen if the phone has been running for a 3-4 hours+. Turn the phone off and on to clear it up (hold the top button down for 5 secs). We are all hopeful the next software update will resolve this issue.

  • I had a virus on the pc I have itunes on.  I had to reload itunes and tell it to find my music.  After gettingh the itunes going again, I reloaded both my ipods and now, purchased music cuts off after 10 seconds.  Not all music but some.

I had a virus on the pc I have itunes on.  The person who fixed it, put all files in 1 file and put it on the desktop.  I could not access the itunes at all so finally, I reloaded Itunes and got all my music back.  When I synched both my ipods, it had to erase the ipod and load the current page...no problem.  Today I had my ipod on shuffle and the songs started to play.  Then a song came on and it played part of the song and went to the next one.  It started doing this on about every 3 songs.  I got home and tried to play the song off my itunes page and the samething happened.  This is music I bought from itunes.
I am not a pc person and this is totally frustrating me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

Delete and redownload them if doing so is free in your country.

  • No internet while wifi is ok, error 13019 during sync, music cutting off...

    Hi!
Up until yesterday, everything was fine in the land of my iPod, but all of a sudden
    1) I lost internet access, wherever I try to connect
    2) I tried an update today, all syncs fail with error 13019.
    3) Music playback keeps shutting off randomly
4)any attempt to reinstall itunes for Windows 7 is met with a 64 bit etc error
I am seriously getting cheesed off with all this and have lost track of the number of times I have restarted the whole lot, cleared all wifi settings, renewed the lease etc etc.
    Please help!
    Thanks

Error 13019 Seems to be a serious issue. Does anyone have any other info besides what apple posted in the article that is referenced every time someone says 13019 error. That article is bogus! The only thing I have found that works is to restore my phone. It ***** and takes forever.
If the error was truly from a corrupt music file then after a restore, when I sync back all my music and podcasts I would still get the error. Seems to be a system problem with iOS4 that someone needs to get on right away.
Until then. Just restore your phone and wait.

  • Music cuts off on Airport express

Why does the music keep cutting out on my airport express after I updated to Mt Lion?

This may be a solution for your Airport Express Cutouts if you are using APE as Network Extender.
Not sure if this is a permanent soultion, but so far it's working extremely well for me.
    My Basic Set Up:
    Time Capsule
    Airport Express (x2)
With the 2 Airport Express units I was expericencing AirPlay cut outs very frequently.  Originally both units were set up as "Network Extenders".  I live in a 2,500 sq/ft home and as mentioned, I also utilize a Time Capsule.
When I set up an APE next to my iHome in the bedroom, I thought "Awesome, I have a WiFi extender next to my bed... this must mean improved signal and better speeds on apple TV and ipad, iphone, etc."   ---- WRONG!
I now believe having both APE units set up as wireless network extenders caused confusion and interference amongst all our devices.  Truth is, I think Time Capsle is powerful enough to transmit a clean strong signal throughout my entire home.  APE as an extender might be good if your using APE as a relay point to get a signal out in the backyard, for example.
The solution:  I reconfugured both APE units to just "join existing network" and as a result I think I eliminated confusion and interference amongst the various signals.... Keeping it simple the way Apple intended.
If you think about it...  the signal from APE is going to be weakend if it's the "middle man" between your Time Capsule and your laptop/phone/ipad/etc.  So my theory is that since I had a APE next to my bed, which is about as far from Time Capsule Base Station as I could get, why would the signal be stronger to that unit than it is to my laptop 2 feet away?  It's an extender, not a booster (unless APE hardwired which mine is not).  I think my phone/ipad/apple TV was recieving the watered down signal from APE and/or conflicted about what device to get it's internet feed from.
    Hope that helps...

  • My music cuts off

I have an iPhone 5, and I have a fairly frequent problem with playing music. The audio will simply cut out in the middle of the song. The song continues to "play", but no audio is delivered to the speakers.  It happens on certain songs every time and on others only sometimes. Occasionally, it will start playing the next song even though it still shows the song that cut out.

    Hi TCRegan,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If songs you play on your iPhone are being skipped, first see if this article applies to the situation:
iPhone and iPod touch: Songs or other audio content are skipped during playback
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3159
If some songs you purchased from the iTunes Store always skip, you can delete the files and download them again using these steps:
Before you delete, find out if you'll be able to download the song you deleted again (it depends on where you live). To delete a song:
    Tap the Music app.
    Tap the Songs category.
Swipe left to right over the song you want to delete.
    Tap Delete.
    From:
How to delete content you've downloaded from the iTunes Store, App Store, iBooks Store, or Mac App Store
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5772
Tap Settings > Music and make sure Show All Music is on.
    Tap the Music app.
Find the item that you want to download.
    Tap the Download icon.
    From:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

If the behavior continues, I recommend the troubleshooting steps in this article:

  • HT203167 downloaded music cut off

I purchased a CD and about 4 out of the 15 songs stop playing about a minute into the song and go onto the next one. How do I get the full song that I paid for without paying for it again?

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.

IDVD - in preview all is good...burning dvd the music cuts out 2 times in 4 songs...i have turned off all other programs, sleep and energy mode for battery...multiple tries... same result ...help

    Hi
    No audio on DVD disc.
    Most common origin.
    1. Imported audio from iTunes.
    • In iTunes copy out as an audio-CD .aiff
    • Use this in Your movie project
    2. Low - Free Space on Start-up/Boot/Internal/Mac OS Hard disk makes it hard for iMovie to work as intended.
Down to 1.3 GB and it doesn’t work - especially audio don’t migrate over to Media Browser
    (iM’08 & 09)
    3. Material in iMovie’08 & 09 - Shared to Media Browser and here selected as Large
large.m4v. It silenced out this project in iDVD. By making a slight alteration - provocing it to ask for a new Share/Publish to Media Browser and here selecting 640x480 - and audio was back when a new iDVD project was created including this movie.
    176x144
    480x360
    640x480
    720x540    960x540
    4. Strange audio formats like .mp3, .avi etc.
    • Change them to .aiff. Use an audio editor like Audacity (free)
    5. Main audio is set to off in System Preferences - Does this by it self - Don’t know why
    Cheque Audio-Out resp. Audio-In
    6. Ed Hanna
Had the same problem; some Googling around gave me a kludgy, but effective fix
Downgrade Perian from recent versions back to version 1.0.
That worked for me, and so far I haven't encountered any deficiencies—except it takes more advanced versions of Perian to enable QuickTime to handle subtitles in .srt format—that I have noticed.
    7. GarageBand fix.
In this set audio to 44.1 kHz (Klaus1 suggestion)
(if this don’t work try 48 kHz - me guessing)
    Before burning the DVD.
    • Do a DiskImage (File menu and down)
    • Double click on the .img file
    • Test it with Apple DVD-player
If it’s OK then make Your DVD.
Burn at x1 speed.... (or x4)
    • In iDVD 08 - or - 09
    • Burn from DiskImage with Apple’s Disk Utilities application
    • OR burn with Roxio Toast™ if You got it
