Music EQ Settings Turned Off

My iPhone 4 has been clearing my EQ setting (Rock) randomly. I'm not looking to save battery but would rather have my music sound a little better. Could it be clearing the setting when I plug the headphones in? I know the phone seems to remember what is plugged in and changes the volume. A reset wasn't effective.

Thanks OldGnome, but perhaps I have not been clear enough in my question.
My problem is with the iPhone in that other Bluetooth streaming sources are loud enough in the Hearing Aids even when they are on a low volume setting.
I can turn the Hearing Aid volume up but that also turns up the background sound - everything is louder but I really need just the Bluetooth streamed sound turned up relative to the background and, as I've said, the Audiologist has done this to the limit of the HA. Therefore the alternative comes back to making the Bluetooth streaming source louder.
I know that the iPhone has volume limitations built in to it so that people cannot have the volume up so loud that it damages their hearing.
As I've said, I've turned off the Sound Check option, and both the 'EQ' and the Volume Limit" are off.
My question was really: is there a setting that I've missed that will let the iPhone stream louder over Bluetooth so that I can manage the volume with the iPhone volume control?

Iphone 5 settings turn off difficulty

- why are some settings very difficult to turn off? I can only turn them off when I press super hard... wifi and hotspot especially. I know someone else with the same problem but for airplane mode. are these screen problems?

I don't believe the auto correct feature is turned off after 3x crossing it out in the autocorrect box. I constantly abbreviate "with" as "w/" and it always auto corrects me to an "a" without the slash. This has happened probably 20 times so my iPhone isn't learning anything from me. I have many other examples and am also frustrated with this feature. But, I am getting used to using the x box on the auto correct now.

How to get turn by turn audio when Music app is turned off?

I am using TomTom for my turn by turn map in my car via bluetooth. The problem is, whenever I turned off the iPhone5 music app so that there is no music running in the background, the audio voice from TomTom map did not get through to my car speakers. As soon as I start playing music again, TomTom audio comes through. My guess is, it has something to do with the Apple Music app that's in the iphone5. If I pause/stop the music on my iphone5, on the dashboard of my car, it said "Pause". Once this shows up, no audio from the iPhone comes through. How do I get around this? If I'm driving with help from TomTom map, I DO NOT want background music/noise coming through my car speakers. Any help is much appreciated.

Yes, I did try to ask TomTom but I believed it has more to do with Apple Music app or the iPhone because it's just not TomTom that the audio is not coming once I stop/pause the Apple Music app. There is no audio coming out regardless of which app I have in the iPhone if the Music app is stopped/paused.

Since updating to iOS 8.1 music shuffle keeps turning off. Anyone else?

Prior to 8.1 music shuffle stayed on until I turned it off. After updating to 8.1 shuffle turns off between uses. Example, I listen to music on shuffle on my way to work, then after a day of using other apps I plug in my iPhone 5 on the way home and tap play. The music starts with the same song from the morning, but then goes alphabetical. Suggestions?

Same problem here. I play song on shuffle and without user intervention it will switch from SHUFFLE to REPEAT PLAYLIST. When I tap on repeat playlist it goes off the shuffle goes back on, resetting the song count back to 1 of ____. I can usually tell when I hear the another song from the same artist or album.

I've removed my yahoo account several times. All it does is delete the info off my iPad and doesn't touch the account itself. So I can go back in, re-add the account and then redownload my mail again. I haven't had to change my passwords or anything.
You might look on sympatico's site, see if they have any troubleshooting specific to iPads.

How do I get my purchased music back after turning off iTunes Match without having to go back through iTunes and individually download each album?

I absolutely hate iTunes Match. It is difficult to work with when it comes to music not purchased through iTunes. So I want to turn it off. How do I do and still have my purchased music through iTunes without having to go through each album/song that I've ever purchased and redownload? That would take FOREVER.

If iTunes Match is turned off, go to preferences > store>Tick box show iCloud purchases. Once done all purchased music will appear. Go to song list view, select all tracks, ctrl+click and select download from pop up.
Alternatively, go into iTunes Store > Quicklinks purchased and select not on this computer. Select download all.

Itunes randomly plays music when monitor turns off?

I'm having the weirdest problem ever. If itunes is open, when I turn off my monitor, my itunes randomly starts playing music. This happens if my ipod is connected or not. It's kind of annoying. Is there a option that I can turn off this? thanks.

That's not a built-in feature. You must have installed some third-party software that uses motion sensing to control iTunes.

When I select "Music" my nano turns off then on again!!

Help! I have had my nano for just 2 months!
All of a sudden, I am unable to select "music" in the nano menu - the screen will go black and it turns off, then on again after a few seconds (black screen with a white apple).
I have tried the 5 Rs with no success - do I have to take it back for repair? I don't like the idea of it being "fixed" - certainly after 2 months of light use, I think it's probably not something I have done.
Any ideas?

The same thing happened to my iPod! :((((((( But I fixed it! :))))))) What I did was the three R's, but for the reinstaling iTunes part, you realy have to reinstal it! First you have to go to my computer, the select the add/remove programs button. Then, you go to iTunes. A change/remove button should appear, you click it. Then you click the dot that says remove. After it finishes removing it, you grab the cd for iTunes and reinstal it. Then update your iPod ( Your songs shoould already be there.) That should work!!! You should try.

Is anyone else experiencing reminders settings turning off on its own?

I was using siri earlier and asked her to remind me when I leave home to call my mom and she says "Before I can do that, you'll need to change your location services settings, In location services settings turn on both 'Location services and reminders" Here's the thing. The settings were already on, but my reminders keeps turning off by itself. I've done this over 5 times to make sure I'm not crazy. Both settings are turned on, I ask siri for the reminder then she gives me the same message stated above then when I go back to the reminders again its turned off. Is there a fix for this?

A HA!!! I figured it out!
Settings > Privacy > Location Services
Make sure Location Services is "On" and Reminders is set to "Always."
Now scroll to the bottom of the page...
Settings > Privacy > Location Services > SYSTEM SERVICES
Make sure LOCATION-BASED ALERTS is turned on.
Not sure why there is "System Settings" that seems to contradict the other settings, but mine worked immediately after I changed it.

Apple tv optical out- listening to the music while tv turned off

I would like to ask you, will the Apple tv (2. gen.) sound output work while connected via optical out to DAC (fiio D3 in this case) and analog receiver while is tv turned off?

Music won't turn off

The music app (that comes with the iPhone and therefore can't be deleted) runs continuously. It will not shut off (by double-clicking the home button and clicking on the "x" - the normal way of shutting off apps that are running). The phone battery (new battery, approx. 1 week since it was installed) is repeatedly drained because of this problem.

In another forum I just learned that they were reomoved by something other than itunes and all the files were in the recycle bin

I'm using imessage and do not want to use sms in some cases. I have the settings turned off so its not supposed to use SMS but it still does anyway. Does anyone else have this issue?

Recently upgraded my iphone 4 to ios 5. I have a problem with imessage and sms. I have some contacts that I don't want to send sms to ever. So I set the "Send As SMS = off" thinking it would not ever send sms(unless I set it to). However, in the middle of imessage conversation with almost a full 3G signal it just sent as SMS. Then back to imessage. Totaly ignored the do no send sms setting.Has anyone else seen this issue? I wish the they would seperate these two apps so they could never cross up. Some people only have data and others have both.

CTRL+0 (<--that is a zero) will reset your zoom level on affected pages. Firefox remembers the zoom level you last used on a page.

Music fades and turns off after a few seconds of playback.

I've noticed an odd problem with the ipod/music function of my iphone 4. When start an album, the first song will play for about 15 seconds. After that, the music fades and stops all together. I have to physically go back and push play again. It will play fine for some time, but this will happen again randomly.
It's particularly annoying when using the phone in the car. I know the iphone automatically does this if you unplug the headphone jack while the music is playing. I wonder if something could be wrong with that mechanism, maybe the jack.
I also only noticed this after updating to 4.3. If it's a 4.3 issue hopefully the next update (4.3.1?) will fix it.
Has anyone else had this issue/figured out what its all about?

So I did call Apple. That was pointless since they had no idea what was wrong. I made an appointment with a Genius at the Apple store nearest to me. The associate who checked me in said his wife had the same problem (and discovered it while on an 8 hour flight, which stinks).
The genius who helped me was great. He had no idea what the issue was and hadn't heard of the issue before, so he took my phone into the back room and ran some diagnostics.
He found that there was nothing wrong with the hardware at all, but he noticed an error with my firmware.
He restored my phone (while my phone was plugged into itunes he held down the home and wake/sleep buttons. Then when the apple logo appeared he let go of the sleep/wake button but kept the home button pressed). This erased everything. I wasn't worried about that since all my contacts, apps, and music were backed up on my computer.
I guess he reinstalled the latest firmware and os update. He put a couple of albums worth of music on there too for me to test it. Problem solved.
It took an hour or two for me to get everything back onto my phone and in its proper place.
That was a pain, but worth it since I can now listen to music freely with no interruption.
The only thing I'm really ****** about is that my game data is all erased. Apparently when you back up your apps in itunes, it doesn't back up your progress/saves/scores in your games. I have about 30 games on my phone so this really, really *****. I guess I will just have to replay all the levels in Angry Birds, Peggle, Cut the Rope, etc. Lost a lot of progress in Infinity Blade which is pretty especially awful.
I just listened to about a half hour of music with no interruptions though, so I guess its a fair trade.
