Music erased - help

I now have a new computer and I plugged in my ipod to update my computer with all the music on the ipod and somehow I've managed to erase all my music from my ipod.
Is there a way to retrieve it from my old computer?
Any help would be great.

I was able to sync ringtones and apps, but can't sync any music or videos. I've tried manually and sync. I uninstalled/reinstalled itunes, deleted/restored the music/video libraries. Nothing works. What a POS. I had the same problem last itunes update and switched computers to get it to work. Maybe a Galaxy 4 would fix it.

From the message you are receiving, it sounds like you either, 1) haven't synced your iPhone with that computer before, 2) are using two different iTunes accounts, or 3) both. If you have purchased music or movies through your iPhone with a certain iTunes account and purchased books through iBooks on your MacBook through a different iTunes account then there is no having both on the phone.
Apple doesn't allow content from two different accounts on a device at the same time. Also if two "libraries" have been created, one on the iPhone and one on the Macbook then syncing will erase data that is not associated with that particular library.
If you are using the same iTunes account for both, then you should be able to redownload any purchased items (music, books, etc.) from iCloud, assuming you have set that up.

You will have to restore and thus erase the iPod. If you stuff is in a backup y can restore from backup. Otherwise it is lost.

Music erased after updating to IOS5

After updating my iPod to ios5 my whole music erased. How do I get it back? Help please!

I had the same problem with my 3GS after an iOS5 update and found the following link: I found deleting the music and re-syncing solved the problem (at least for now!).

1) Plug your iDevice into iTunes
2) Under your devices music tab, de-select Sync Music -> Click on Sync (this should remove your itunes library from your iDevice
3) After completing step 2, go back to the music tab and re-select Sync Music -> then click on Sync
4) After completing step 3 your iTunes library should have returned to your iDevice
5) Try playing your music now from the music app. It should work.
As I only tick the music I want to load individually, I deselected everything, selected synchronize iPhone, then ticked the boxes I wanted to load again and synchronized a second time. Worked immediately.

Have you looked in the Music App on your iPhone? On the iPhone music is played by the Music App not iTunes.

No. In fact, my ipod detects the livebox and the network but I can not connect to the internet.

See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.
In brief; backup the device, recover what you can from it, download other purchases from the iTunes Store, restore the device, add content, keep a backup of your library in future.

All media should be in the iTunes library on your computer.
Syncing is ONE way from computer to iPhone.
If the media was on your device, but not in your computer, then it's likely gone.
Do you have a backup of your media somewhere else? Like an external drive?
