Music files appear on "images and videos" folder i...

After syncing all my music files using windows media player, I have noticed that the "images and videos" folder in my gallery also display music files. Their icons are the pink musical notes, and their file names are all the same ( one of the songs that I have added). When I delete it, the song gets deleted from the phone. Why is it like this? Isn;t this folder supposed to display only images and videos. How come there are music files in it. It looks so messy to me having all the types of files in one folder. Can you please tell me what's wrong with my phone?

can someone please help me.

  • C5-00 Images and Video Rotated

I am having this irritating problem. I bought the Nokia C5-00 just yesterdday, everything was okay, Somehow, not sure, if I pressed some combination of keys and as a result, the images an my Images and Video folder are now LEFT SIDE UP and RIGHT SIDE DOWN! So, I need to rotate my phone to view pictures. Please help how I can get back my original view of the images, like I don't have to rotate my phone to view a picture. I tried restore to factory settings, but did not help!
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Worldwar,
Thanks for your post and welcome to the Nokia forum.
We are really sorry for this inconvenience.
In order to fix this issue, I would advise you to perform a soft reset on your phone: type *#7780#. Default lock code is 12345.
If the problem persists, I would suggest you to perform a hard reset. First of all, back up your data using Nokia Suite (Tools > Back up). Once your data is fully backed up,  type *#7370# on the keypad.  Default lock code is 12345.
The hard reset will dellete all your personal information, that's why a back up is very important.
Alternatively, you may also check for updates on Nokia Suite (by going to Tools > Updates).
    Hope this helps.

Are you running a Managed or a Referenced Library?
A Managed Library, is the default setting, and iPhoto copies files into the iPhoto Library when Importing. The files are then stored in the Library package
A Referenced Library is when iPhoto is NOT copying the files into the iPhoto Library when importing because you made a change at iPhoto -> Preferences -> Advanced. (You unchecked the option to copy files into the Library on import) The files are then stored where ever you put them and not in the Library package. In this scenario you are responsible for the File Management.
    Assuming a Managed Library:
Make sure the drive is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
    1. Quit iPhoto
    2. Copy the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
    3. Hold down the option (or alt) key while launching iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new location. From that point on this will be the default location of your library.
    4. Test the library and when you're sure all is well, trash the one on your internal HD to free up space.

  • How to set restriction on shared folder to copy or move images and videos

    Hi,
I am using windows server 2008 for file sharing, it's simple folder sharing and there is no additional roles added and not promoted as file server.
Users have permissions to access folder and they can put data on shared folder but I want to restrict user that they can not copy any images and video on it.
Need urgent help to stop copying images and videos on shared folder.

If you need to restrict only certain types of files, then file screening is what you need. Windows Server 2012 R2 comes with a powershell module for FSRM, so you can script configuration of file screening.
The code will look like the following (this is only an example):
New-FsrmFileGroup -Name "Images and Videos" –IncludePattern @("*.jpg", "*.mpg", "*.avi", "*.tif", "*.mp4", "*.mov")
$Notification = New-FsrmAction -Type Email -MailTo "[Admin Email];[File Owner]" -Subject “Warning: attempted to create a video or image file” -Body “You attempted to create a video or image file on a share that does not allow storage of this type of files.” -RunLimitInterval 120
New-FsrmFileScreen -Path "C:\Shares\FileShare1" –IncludeGroup "Images and Videos" -Notification $Notification -Active

  • Identifying image and video file names in my presentation

I want to identify the file names of all the images and videos in my Keynote presentation so that I can re-assemble the presentation in Final Cut Pro . . .  I thought that just using Inspector might give me the file names, but it only shows me what the image or video looks like, but not the file names.
My photo images are not in iPhoto (I don't use iPhoto), they're in various other folders.
    Thank you.

There are two ways to find file names of media used in Keynote:
    1
for a few images, select the images on the slide
    Inspector > Builds
    click on more options
if there are no builds set up, choose an effect
the file name will display in the build order:
    2
It is more usefull and easier  to do the following:
right click the Keynote file and select     Show Package Contents
all the images and QuickTime files will be listed
you can make a screen grab to make a note of the file names (in finder -  command shift 4)
the files can be copied to a folder and imported into other applications for further work

  • Keep losing links to image and video files

Please help! I been working on a big presentation on Tuesday. I have built a presentation that contains many images and videos. Everytime I save the presentation and leave the machine, when I open the presentation again, many of the pages of the presentation are blank with a big question mark on them.
I just started having this problem on Friday, after many months of building Keynote presentations on my PowerBook with no problem.
    What is happening?

Keynote 3.01 still has the annoying habit to import some (some!) of the pictures and clips only as a reference to the original, even when working in the mode that should integrate all these files. In my experience this happens most likely when you use drag and drop rather than import for insertion into the Keynote file.
As long as the original is still anywhere on your hard disk, there is no problem, even if it has been moved or deleted (sent to trash). After you empty the trash, however, the files no longer are displayed in Keynote. You can still see an empty frame for the file and find the file name in the menu with the ruler icon. However, this file no longer exists on the hard disk.
If you copy the file to another disk or duplicate it on the hard disk itself, the files are properly imported and the problem will not occur.
In other words, do not drop files into Keynote, import them. To be absolutely safe, duplicate the files and keep only the duplicate.
Nasty bug but this is a workaround to avoid it.

  • Images and video do not appear when project is published

Can anyone tell me what is happening when I have inserted video and images into my project, but when I go to publish it, the slide freezes or the images and video do not display.

    Hi,
You give very few information: could you please give some more details, such like which version of CP, what kind of images/video, how do you publish and how do you deploy, is all well in Preview mode (also Preview in Browser), how big is the CP (number of slides)... In order to have some idea of possible causes, please provide some details.

  • E5 memory card images and videos are not visible i...

am using nokia e5,it was working all well but few days before i tranferred files from laptop to my cell(images) using Mass Storage option by data cable.soon after that images and videos saved in memory card is not visible on phone.test mesgs and music files are visible but phone isnt showing my images and video files which ive recievd through bluetooth and saved in memory card.why is this so???plzzz help me am in mess cant help it

    Hi saaraaz,
Welcome to the forum! I tried to transfer pictures via bluetooth and they were saved to gallery like they should. Please try the following actions and between them test if it works.
Firstly please make a back up with Nokia Suite. Then type in *#7780# = soft reset, no data lost.
If it's still the same, type in *#7370# = hard reset, the phone memory will be wiped. Restore back up. You can also try to make the back up without settings and then format and restore.
Reinstall the software. The process is the same when updating, but at the end select "reinstall".
Hope you get the device working again, please let me know if this is not the case.

  • Transferring images and videos from Nokia 5800 to ...

    Hello,
I have been using Nokia PC Suite for years and now decided to jump onto OVI suite because the Nokia PC Suite was not able (mysteriously) to move picture and videos to my pc using USB cable. I gave up and started using OVI suite, which (how bizarre) can transfer images and videos to PC via cable connection with no problem.
I was used to transfering and deleting all that stuff once copies were made to my PC... please correct me if I am wrong ... does OVI allow to do so automatically? I mean deleting the images and videos from the phone when transfer completed? Now my phone's memory and external card are full and I am not sure what I should do.
Thank you in advance for the help.
    Cheers.

You know I have being facing the same problems, first when I installed the first version, and is quit the same with the new version of ovi suite.  in a 14 G memory card with more than 10 g of free space, the ovi suite do not want to transfer my music.  This is a mass!!!  I'm very disappointed.
First of all..the Problems are not SAME but totally different..
BTW how are you transferring the Music ? and is it showing any error / message ?
You may try this..(if doing some other way though..). Open OVI Suite and select Music.. Goto File-->Add File to collection and select the file  (song) you want to transfer..It will now get displayed in the OVI Suite..Now, connect your phone to PC.. and simply Drag-and-Drop the dislayed file onto the Phone Icon (Bottom - Left Window..) ..

  • ITunes music files cannot be edited, and new music files imported.  The messages says I do not have enough access privileges even though I am the administrator of the system.

Since installing the latest version of iTunes all my music files cannot be edited, and I cannot import new music files into iTunes.  The messages says I do not have enough access privileges even though I am the administrator of the system.  If anyone can help me sort this out I would be really grateful.  I have checked the read and write privileges for all the iTunes folders and it all seems in order so I can't understand it.
In general, I am getting really frustrated with Apple.  They seem to be getting ever more controlling in their approach to their consumers.  I need to edit music file information as I am a dj.  And why can't I import music, unless I buy it from iTunes?  Most of all, why can't I use the devices I paid a lot of money for in the way I want to use them, and not be forced to coerced to use apple's fee paying services (iCloud, iTunes).
I have used apple computers since the early 1990's, but in the last year I have gotten rid of my iPhone and my iPad and replaced them with Android devices.  Much better and much less control.  Perhaps it is time to switch from Apple altogether.

  • Load image and video dynamically...

Hello. Can I make a "Browse..." button in a "Settings" slide (at the beginning of the presentation), to point my presentation to a certain photo (one photo) and video (one video) files from a HDD? I want to use those files in one of next slides... Thank You!

I was able to create a file with 2 buttons that will upload image and video separatly and it works fine.
But what I want is there is a 3rd button for submitting the selected files, right now the files are uploaded as soon they are selected and the browse window is closed..
How do I get to upload the selected files only when the SUBMIT button is clicked. Please help.

  • Load external images and video in edge

    Hi.
I am looking into edge instead of flash.
My question is how do you load external images and videos from an external server?
To clarify, I need to insert a link from where the images can load into the stage, so they don´t take up any of the final weight.
    Thanks in advance.
    Best,
    Stig.

The above solution I provided works if you already have the images in your composition and than if you want form load images from another server rather than the relative location to your html file.
Now if you want to load images dynamically into a rectagle containter you will have to code it.
below is a sample for that
Create a 'rectangle' with name 'Rectagle'.
Add the snippet in the compositon ready or on other user actiosn based on your requirement
    var myImagetag = '<img src="http://wwwimages.adobe.com/include/style/default/SiteHeader/logo-2x.png">'
    sym.$("Rectangle").append(myImagetag);

  • HT4007 Does Aperture support Images and videos from the new 3D cameras?

Does Aperture support Images and videos from the new 3D cameras?

If the camera is listed here OS X Lion: Supported digital camera RAW formats or here Mac OS X v10.6: Supported digital camera RAW formats then the raw image file is supported by Aperture.
If the camera is not listed then as Keith wrote if it produces JPG's they can be imported into Aperture.
If you told us what camera you were interested in it might help.
