Music Files download from Nokia Music Store Does n...

Hi,
I have purchased a new Nokia 5800. Along with the box I recieved two vouchers to download music from Nokia Music Centre. After downloading and while trying to play in Nokia Mucis Player, it displays the message a message informing some digital rights information needs to be downloaded from Microsoft. It tries to download and it fails.
What should I do to make these .wma files play in my nokia phone and also in my PC?

MY phone is Nokia Asha 200. It comes with UNLIMITED DOWNLOADS from Nokia Music for 3 months. But now Nokia Music is not opens in my mobile. Every time their is a file named "client_log.txt" is saved to images folder on the mobile.

I am trying to transfer my itunes library from my old Mac to my new Mac; however, all that transfers is the music I downloaded from itunes. It does not transfer the music I downloaded from my cd's.

Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Open iTunes and immediately hold down the Option (alt) key (shift on Windows), then guide it to the iTunes Library.itl file in the moved iTunes folder.

If you put it in the default location of Macintosh HD > Users > *User Name* > Music then you don't even need to start with the option key held down, iTunes will automatically look for it there. Hi I've tried looking for software which will allow me to read vmg files from my Nokia mobile. I've downloaded abc nokia but without success. Do I need to find a mac specific version of this software or is isync the way to go? I'm stumped!

Hi. I just passed by the same issue you have.
VMG can be opened with TextEdit, but it has some informations that (i think) you don't need.
I wanted to gather all msg, so I could have some kind of history.
This is how i've done it:
1º Used a terminal tool that converts VMG files into a single CSV file with all the messages:

-This has some filename problems with some characters, like ";" and "&",so i had to rename a few...
2º VMGtoCSV creates a file with the fields separated by ";" instead of ",". So when I open the file on Number (where I wanted to keep the messages), it didn't separated the fields correctly.
3º I had to open the CSV file on TextEdit, and then replace the ";" separator for the "," separator.
4º Then I just dragged the CSV into Numbers and delete the columns I didn't want.

Guys I have the same problem.
Since I installed iTunes 10.5 I can't play any of my music videos downloaded from the iTunes store.
I can play music ok but no videos. I just click on the videos and nothing happens!!

I have a Roku soundbridge system which play my music from my Mac compute r(via wifi). Unfortunaley it does not succeed to play the files bought on i-tunes store as it says they are protected. How can i take out the protection or have it read by my system. On roku site, i only find "apple does not allow streaming of files downloaded from their music store to 3rd party device." Is there any solution for me to listen to the albums i have bought on my system??? thks for your help

Sorry, but as Roku's web site says, no third-party devices can play tracks purchased from the iTunes Store. Tracks from the iTunes Store can only be played in iTunes or QuickTime Player or on an iPod, Apple TV, iPhone or iTunes-equipped Motorola cell phone.

I have bought music from Nokia’s Music Store (specifically, on the Finnish ‘Nokia Musiikkikauppa’). I have downloaded the music files to my computer, and would like to transfer them to my phone, a Nokia N82. In order to do that, I have tried to use Nokia Music Manager (v2.0). I am able to find the songs I downloaded on my PC in the ‘My Collection’ section of Nokia Music Manager, and I can see my phone ‘N82’ in the list below. However, when I go to File -> Copy to Phone, the ‘Copy to Phone’ line is greyed-out, and I cannot use that function. This makes no sense to me. Can it really be that I cannot use ‘Nokia Music Manager’ to transfer music I bought at the ‘Nokia Music Store?’
I partially suspect that this is indeed the case. From the Nokia Music Store help section, I have read “You need to use [Windows Media Player] in order to be able to play, burn and transfer the DRM-protected WMA files from Nokia Music Store.” From this, it would seem that only Windows Media Player can be used to transfer Nokia Music Store music to Nokia phones. However, I simply find it beyond belief that Nokia’s own music manager software cannot be used to transfer music bought from Nokia’s own music store to Nokia’s own devices.
Can anyone shed light on this case?

i had this problem, try doing it through the windows media player. i cannot remember exactly how i did it in the end but i did burn the music to a disc and i'm wondering if i loaded it from the cd in the end?

My currency phone is N95 8GB model, I buy and download song from nokia music store, after I do Sync to my phone, I tried to set the song as the ring tone, but can not do it cos the screen on the phone not showing "set as ringtone" (but other song come along with the phone from the beginning show this item )

There is most likely carrier restrictions on your phone. Depending on who you are with, some or most companies will restrict the phones from allowing them to use the users mp3 files as ringtones. The reason for that is so that you have to buy from only them so they make more money.

Thanks for the answer. I am not sure I understand your question though.
We have a collection of reader enabled pdfs that the user can open in a webbrowsercomponent in a .Net winform.
We used to (Reader 9.4 and before) replace the Readers "save pdf" button with our own "save pdf" button that
- saves the pdf
- exports its data as xml
- send a message to the .Net winform that the pdf has been saved.
We implemented our own save button and its functions using a plug-in.
Now I can't find our "save pdf" button in Reader X. That is my problem.
So I try to create a new toolbar and place our "save pdf" on this new toolbar as you adviced me.
I expect the toolbar to show up in the Tools pane in the webbrowser component in Reader X.
But it doesn't. There is no Tools pane when I open the PDF in the webbrowser.
(btw all the keyboard shortcuts we have created in the plugin (ie CTRL, ALT, L) works fine - so the plugin generally works).
When I couldn't find my toolbar with its button in the webrowser, I tried to open one of the reader enabled pdfs in the Reader X as a standalone application.
This was just as a test to see if it worked any different from the browser plugin. It is not part of our use case.
But I noticed that in the standalone Reader X I do have a Tools pane, and my new toolbar but no "save pdf" button.
This is how it looked with Reader 9.4 and before:

So it can be argued that the tracks available on the iTunes Store are, at least, CD quality. And since the tracks Apple gets to sell are coming directly from the master recordings it could also be argued they are, in some cases, better than CD quality.
Just because a digital audio track is lossless does not automatically make it "high quality." At least, not to me.

ITunes update corrupted some of my music files so iTunes can't find the file, nor music I bought from the iTunes store.

After an iTunes generated update of iTunes, some of my music can't be accesed any more. When I try to play the file, iTunes says it can't find the link. This also happens with music I purchase from the iTunes store, so I've lost all this music; do I have to re-buy the purchased music again? My iTunes program is on my C drive, and the music library is on my D drive. In iTunes, I've set the ripped music to be placed in my D drive. The lost links are on some music files, but not others which do play music. Some compilation music files were split up into individual files, usually without LP art attached. Some album art was placed on wrong albums as well. Music with lost links have a ! mark beside the song name. File info says the link is on my C drive, but I can't find it there. Any ideas on how to get these lost files back. Thanks, Moizy.

Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!

However the originals (consisting largely of playlists) ae still on my ipd and I do not want to do any syncing until I have resolved the issue. You cannot transfer song files from iPod to computer using iTunes (except for songs purchased from the iTunes Store). However, there are third-party methods and utilities that can transfer song files from iPod to computer. If you do a Google search on something like "ipod transfer," you should get some links.
NOTE: Songs previously purchased from the iTunes Store can also be re-downloaded at no cost, from the iTunes Store Purchased screen.
