  • N73: Using music for ring-tones

I can set a music track to be my default ring-tone.
How can I select a music track to be the ring-tone for particular contacts?
How do I include my stored music in the list of available ring-tones?

-to set a ring for a contact: select contact of choice>open:so you can view contact's info>options>ringing tone.
-stored music is in the list of ringtones. if you select profiles>personalize>ringing tone. all songs are available to choose from.
    everything happens for a reason

  • When I restore my iphone, all my music and ring tone are missing. Does Backing up by iphone backup my music and ring tone?

When I restore my iphone, all my music and ring tone are missing. Does Backing up by iphone backup my music and ring tone?

It doesn't matter what it is in your backup that's causing the problem because you can not selectively restore things from your backup. It's all or nothing.
Set you phone up as a new device and start over.

  • Music as ring tone

I just bought the Nokia 6500 slide phone and wish to know how I can select music stored in the phone music library as my ring tone.Kindly advise.
    Many Thanks !
    jc

Use the phone browser to look for any music you like as a ringtone, in the option select make as ringtone. But you have to bear in mine that only the first 30 seconds more or less portion of the music will be played.
Knowledge not shared is knowledge wasted!
If you find it helpfull, it's not hard to click the STAR..

  • Nokia N73 (not music edition) Ring tone mute mode

    Hi,
I am having the Nokia N73 (not music edition) phone. If I receive any call when the music player is in the pause mode then I can see the vibrating alert only and not the ring tone. At that time my ring tone is going on mute mode. Is it a build-in functionality? Or it is a problem?
    Thanks,
    Parker.

Try switching profiles. If you see it's set to Silent, turn it to General instead.

  • Using my ipod tunes for ring tones

I have just purchased a iphone 3g and have transferred my tracks over to it no problem. I cannot seem to find out how to set one up in my iphone to use as a ring-tone i have tried all settings but cannot find out how to do it.

You cannot select them from the music on the iPhone. You must first make them ringtones (less than 40 seconds, saved as .m4r files), have them in the Ringtones section of your iTunes library, and sync them to the iPhone.

Note that ringtones can be purchased from the iTunes Music Store, but only in the USA (due to record label licensing restrictions).

  • Which apps are good ones for ring tones?

I am looking for a good app that has some good ring tones already made up so I don't have to make my own up. I guess I don't want to take the time to make my own up.

RMakerPro is a good one... it requires you to make your own, but you can make ringtones out of songs you already have in your iTunes library or Voice Memos.
If you don't want to make your own I would just download them from the iTunes Store.

  • Is there a quick way to search for ring-tone eligible music in UK on itunes

I have an iphone and wanted to see what was available to create a ringtone, but can't seem to find anything that has the ringtone logo next to it. Is there a way to search on this basis?

Ringtones are a US only feature at current

  • Downloaded Music as ring tones

I have downloaded music from the store straight to my mobile but cant seem to use it as a ringtone or alarm any ideas why or how i can use it?

The answer is simple - when you buy downloadable music, there are strict regulations (usually determined by the copyright holder rather than the retailer), it is commong that there are limited transfers between devices, limited CD burns and very often play is limited to music players and not other functions such as tones and alerts.
There is no fault with the phone in this case, it is simply obeying copyright restrictions on the file.

  • I up graded to the iphone 5 now non of my paid for ring tons show up

non of the ringn tones that i paid for moved over to my iphone 5 when i did the back up and there not in my I tune any longer

Ringtones are non-transferable, unfortunately, and unable to save in a back up. You must re-purchase on new iPhone.

  • Solution for Ring Tones not playing on OS 5 (Rogers Wireless users)

    Hello,
Updated my 8900 to the newest OS yesterday. Immediately had an issue with the phone not ringing during calls, etc. as noted in a number of other threads.
The problem was immediately resolved when I changed the Theme to Rogers Precision from the default RIM Precision.
    Thanks.

This has been an issue in OS 5.0.0.822.  Is that the version you're using?
And you've had no more of this issue at all after switching themes?

  • HT1386 I plug my IPhone up to the usb and click updates before I back phone up and all my contacts music notes ring tones photos Apps and pictures were lost. How can I get them back?

I plug my IPhone 4G to my USB which was plug into my computer I click update before I back my phone up and lost all information that was plug into my phone.
Music, Apps, text message, Photos,  Contact List, Notes Pad information. How do I get these Items back or can I?

If you backed up the device, you should be able to recover it from the backup unless you somehow deleted the backup.  See if it isn't recognized by iTunes, then restore it from backup.

  • My music as ring tones

You have to create a ringtone from the song in iTunes first, then sync it to your phone.  See Create free ringtones with iTunes 10.
