is there any way for me to transfer my music from my iphone 4 to my new macbook pro? i know you can do it with windows but why is it so hard to transfer to a Mac?? please let me know if there is any solution.

The iphone is not a backup device.
The music sync is one way - computer to iphone. The only exception is itunes purchases: File>Transfer Purchases.
Copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.

Syncing will only transfer music purchased from the iTunes store to your computer. Music from other sources can only be transfered from your phone to your computer using 3rd party software such as PhoneView (Mac) or Touch Copy (PC or Mac).

Sending files to and from an older Mac
If a Mac you're using with AirDrop was manufactured before 2012, you can send and receive files with other Mac computers.
On the sending Mac, click "Don't see who you're looking for" in the AirDrop window.
Select the option to "Search for an Older Mac."
On the receiving Mac, open a new Finder window and click AirDrop in the sidebar.
Tips for sending files
Make sure Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are enabled on your Mac and your iOS device. Although you don't have to connect to a specific network, Wi-Fi needs to be on to send and receive files using AirDrop.

Can't import purchased music from iPad to MacBook Pro's iTunes

I bought and downloaded classical music albums to my MacBook Pro's iTunes. They have also apparently been automatically synced onto my iPad's iTunes. Then I purchased and downloaded successfully four classical albums to iPad's iTunes. But when I manually synced the iPad's iTunes with the Mac's iTunes, only one of the four paid albums was fully transferred so it can be played from the MacBook Pro's iTunes. The other three albums only show notices in Mac Book Pro's iTunes that they are "purchased", but there are no digital files that can produce sound. How can I get the digital music files of these purchased albums to be downloaded onto the MacBook Pro's iTunes so they can be played there?

Yes you can. Connect your iPad to your computer, open iTunes, select your device on the left side, right click on the name of your iPad and you can select transfer purchases.
You must authorize your computer as well in iTunes from the menu at the top under Store.

My Macbook Pro recently crashed and I had to reinstall the operating system. I lost all the music in itunes that I had ripped from cds. However all the music is still on my iphone. Why can't I just import all the music from my iphone back to itunes on my Macbook ?

Sync information from Iphone to Macbook Pro?

Recently my Macbook pro was stolen from me and I just recently got a new one. My Iphone has all of my song's and what not's on it and I want to transfer them to m new Macbook. I know if I plug in my Iphone to my Macbook and it sync's it, I will lose everything. I don't want that, I want to sync all my song's from my phone to my laptop. Can anyone help me? Thank you.

The sync process for iTunes content is a one way transfer process only, and the same for photos transferred from your computer via the iTunes sync/transfer process.
Your iTunes library on your computer should be included with your computer's backup along with all other important data - the iTunes named folder located in your Music folder.
iTunes includes an option to transfer iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store from an iPod or iPhone, but this is for iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store only.
First you need to authorize your new computer with your iTunes account with iTunes. With your iPhone connected and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPhone.
Before syncing contacts with the Address Book and calendar events with iCal, enter one contact in the Address Book and one calendar event in iCal on your Mac. This will provide a merge prompt with the first sync for this data, which you want to select.

Playing music from iCloud on Macbook Pro without external hard drive

I have iTunes match set up on my macbook pro. All my music is physically stored on an external hard drive and is perfectly matched to iCloud. So I can stream/download all my music to my iphone and ipad no problem.
I would have thought as all my music is now in the cloud i should be able to, for example, take my macbook on holiday and not have to bring the hard drive that all the music is on with me.
This doesn't seem the case - if my hard drive is not attached - it "can't locate" the song.
Am I missing something really obvious here? Is there an icloud mode I have to switch it too?
I've tried turning off itunes match (restarting) and logging in again without the hard drive connected but it still seems to be looking for the music locally.
Any thoughts?
PS - I have the latest iTunes and am using Mountain Lion

I have just worked this out.
Just created a new library by clicking option while opening iTunes. Then just turned on itunes match with this new library.
Works fine.
