Music from iTunes 10 for windows in a 7 year old Windows XP machine sounds totally distorted

iTunes 9, the last release sounded perfectly, but when updating to version 10, the computer plays music horribly. It's only iTunes, because other applications sound normal. It is an Pavilion HP with an AMD processor. Do I have to upgrade drivers, hardware... or computer?

I'm only trying to sync 350 songs. When I click "sync" the process will start but it won't end in my iTunes. My iPhone's sync symbol dissapears and the sync symbol in iTunes in my PC is still there. The sync process that consits of 5-7 steps won't finish the last step and keeps "downloading Safari secure browsing data" (I don't know if this translation is correct, I'm Spanish and iTunes is set up in Spanish too)
I've tried turning off Wi-Fi because some people got rid of this problem this way supposedly, but it didn't work at all

  • Updated iPhoto could no longer use the music from iTunes library for slideshow

Anybody checked if you can still use your music from iTunes library for slideshows?
After updating both iPhoto and iTunes to the latest version in Mavericks, all music links in the iPhoto's slideshows became invalid. Tried even to re-establish the music links, but it seems like the iPhoto would not play any music from the iTunes library. Only the sample music from iPhoto is usable. The iTunes works fine by the way.
    Thanks a lot!

I think I found a workaround that seemed to correct the problem. In iTunes, go to the File menu and choose Library. Then select Organize Library. Next choose Reorganize files in the folder "iTunes Media".  Click OK.

  • HT1473 How do you move music from itunes on a windows computer to an iPhone 5,  Music from my existing collection?

How do you move music from itunes in a XP computer to an iPhone 5?

You copy the content of your iTunes Library to the iPhone by connecting to the iPhone to your computer, using the USB lead that came wiht the phone, and allowing iTunes and the iPhone to Sync with one another.
This will leave the content in your iTunes Library. An iPhone (or iPod) is not desinged to be the only location for your music (or other content). The idea is that the iPhone (or iPod) has a copy of the Library.

  • How do I move music from itunes store for an old ipod to a new itouch device

I just bought a new itouch, and wanted to transfer my music from itunes to new device.  do I just plug in and go or will it be a security issue?

    That's basically what you do...
Connect the iPod and select it in iTunes.  If the iTunes sidebar is not showing, from the iTunes menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar.  The iPod should appear in the sidebar, under DEVICES.  Click on it to select it.
With the iPod selected in iTunes, there is a row of buttons toward the top, starting with Summary.  Click on Music next to Summary.  This the iPod's Music screen, where you tell iTunes how to sync songs to the iPod.
Check the box for Sync Music.  If the iTunes music library is small and fits completely on the iPod, you can choose to sync Entire music library.  Then click Apply.  With this setting, everything in the iTunes music library syncs to the iPod.  Whenever you make a change to the iTunes library, such as adding new songs, iTunes automatically updates the iPod with the same changes, the next time it is connected (or when you click the Sync button).  If this works for you, you don't have to read the rest.
Otherwise, you can choose to sync Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres.  A convenient way to use this setting is to create a new playlist in your iTunes library.  You can call it "iPod Songs," or whartever you want.  From the iTunes music library, add the songs you want on the iPod, such as those iTunes Store purchases, to that playlist.  Back on the iPod's Music screen, find "iPod Songs" under Playlists, and select (checkmark) it.  When you click Apply, the songs from your selection sync to the iPod.  Going forward, when you want to update the songs on the iPod, just update that playlist in your iTunes library (add/remove songs).  The iPod does not need to be connected.  The next time you connect the iPod (or when you click the Sync button), iTunes automatically syncs the same changes to the iPod.

  • Playing and/or converting purchased music from iTunes Store (in Windows).

I just purchased some music from the iTunes Store and now it's telling me it's protected and it won't play in anything other than iTunes. If I bought the music, shouldn't I be able to do with it what I will? I need to use it for a DVD I'm making with Windows Movie Maker and it won't allow me. HELP!

Tracks purchased from any legal download store carrying major-label content, including the iTunes Music Store, are copy-protected and so cannot be directly converted to any other format. You can, however, burn the tracks purchased from the iTunes Music Store out to an audio CD, at which point it will act just like any other normal audio CD.

  • IPhone 5s using iOS 8.1 not syncing all music from iTunes

Before I updated to the iOS 8.1 (though I didn't ever do iOS 8), I was having problems with my computer saying some of my songs could not be located, then it randomly started working again, but my phone would show all the songs, and none of them would actually work, and look as though they were downloading themselves. Now that I've updated it's working for more songs but I'm still missing half of my library.

Did you already try to consolidate the iTunes library? iTunes will search for all listed music and make sure that all songs are part of the library:
Consolidate your files in the iTunes folder
You can consolidate all the files in your library in the iTunes folder—for example, to make it easier to move your library to a new computer.
Choose File > Library > Organize Library.
Select “Consolidate files.”Files remain in their original locations, and copies are placed in the iTunes folder.

  • I'm trying to transfer music from iTunes on an old PC that uses an external storage device to a new PC (Windows 7) that will use that same external storage device.  I am also dealing with new iTunes 11.  How do I do this??  What folder does iTunes use?

I'm trying to transfer music from iTunes on an old PC (Windows Vista Home Basic) that uses an external storage device to store the files to a new PC (Windows 7 Starter) that will use that same external storage device.  I am also dealing with the new iTunes 11.  How can I accomplish this successfully?    What folder does iTunes use to store the data in?  I've tried several things.  Home Sharing caused duplicates but not all songs or apps transfered.  It is a large library! I've tried just setting the path in the Advanced Tab of iTunes preferences of the new computer with the external drive connected the same as the path when the external drive is connected to the old computer.  This was the best solution so far but still a few artists missing and some apps. Any suggestions?

Here are typical layouts for the iTunes folders:
With iTunes 11 you might also have a Home Videos folder inside iTunes Media.
In the simplest cases you copy the entire iTunes folder from <User's Music> on the source computer to <User's Music> on the target machine, install iTunes, and it "just works"TM.
If the media folder (inside the red outline) has been split out to a separate location then you can copy the library folder (outside the red outline) as before and connect the drive holding the media so that it has exactly the same path as before. If the drive appears as D: on one system and E: on the other then the library won't be able to find the media.
The crucial file is iTunes Library.itl - this contains a record of the tracks that have been added to the library, ratings, play counts, playlists etc.

  • IPad (4th Gen Retina Display Wi-Fi) (iOS 7.0.4) won't sync new music from iTunes (Windows).  Only solution found was to uncheck "Sync Music" under Music tab, apply, then recheck "Sync Music" and apply. Any other solution?

iPad (Retina Display) (iOS 7.0.4) won't sync new music from iTunes (Windows).  Only solution found was to uncheck "Sync Music" under Music tab, apply, then recheck "Sync Music" and apply.  This is timely and aggravating.  Any other solution?
I have also tried a hard reset.  I have also gone into settings and checked "display all music".
Anyone know if the new update will have solutions to this problem?

    Successful experience with Apple Care.
If anyone is having the same problem, there's a chance it's an issue with the Mobile Device Manager for iTunes. The key is to ditch the old/corrupt file and replace it via clean iTunes installation.
Here's the fix that worked for me:
    1. Trash iTunes (uninstall); don't forget to trash it from your dock if you have it there.
    2. Head to /System/Library/Extensions/ and trash file AppleMobileDevice.kext
    3. Head to /Library/Receipts/ and trash AppleMobileDeviceSupport.pkg  ( * this may or may not be there * )
    4. Restart computer (& empty trash)
    5. Download fresh & clean iTunes and reinstall.
Voila! The content is now properly recognized by iTunes, the capacity bar registers the correct amount and type beyond "Other", and now I can put music back on the iPad.
