Music from old iPod to new iTunes account?
I have an old iPod, but I forgot what iTunes account I had when I put all music on my iPod. Now I have a new iTunes account that I use. How can I get the music on my iPod to my new iTunes account?

This is all just a partial answer since details will depend upon how you want to do it.

Commercial software utility for transferring songs from i-device to Mac - http://www.fadingred.com/senuti/
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848 - just media purchased from iTunes Store
You'll need to get it all onto one iTunes collection on your Mac Pro, then sync the devices to that. iTunes only lets you transfer purchases from a device, otherwise you have to use third party software.
I guess you could also look into getting iTunes Match. -

Have iPod that about 8 years old. Want to transfer music from old iPod to new iPod.
My ipod is about 8 years. Want to transfer music fron old ipod to new one. Can that be done ?
Hello try again
All your media should be in iTunes so you can sync using iTunes to get the music over. If you have any purchases from the iTunes Store you may transfer them to your iTunes library.

How do I export music from my ipod to new itunes?
How do I expoort music from my ipod to itunes? I got a new laptop and had to download new itunes, but can't seem to get a way to export my music from my ipod shuffle to itunes. Can someone please help me?
- Transfer iTunes purchases by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
- Transfer other music by using a third-party program like one of those discussed here
newer copy
- To retain app data and other settings, connect the iPod to the computer and make a backup by right clicking one the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up
- Restore from that backup
Note the the iPod backup that iTunes makes does not included synced media like apps and music. -

Linking old ipods to new itunes account and syncing songs
does anyone have any idea how???
It is an ipod from an account I had on a desktop that is no longer in use. I downloaded many songs from itunes but transferred most from CDs I owned. We moved to another state, and for the first 9 months, I used my ipod infrequently and never added any songs. Then I got an iphone. I mostly used Pandora. I ran a 5K without satellite service, hence, no music, so I decided it was time to download my own music to my phone. I could not remember my itunes account and it was linked to an email address that was with my cable/internet provider in the prior state. So, I started a new itunes account. I've been running happy since until I decided to train for a marathon and I discovered that my iPHONE battery will not last all 26.2 miles. And there is NO way I can do that without music. So, back to my ipod. I would love to add more music and create a playlist that is strictly fast paced music so I won't have to fast forward while running, BUT...I can not get the 2 to link up. I can't transfer the new songs on to the ipod, or the old songs on to the computer. I have tried to authorize this computer, but again, I can not remember the password. It also sends the info to my old email address which is no longer valid. There are 691 songs on the IPOD, erasing them all and starting again will take up too much time. I leave tomorrow to fly to dc at 11 am.

How to get music from old ipod to new computer
I have an old iPod nano and I want to get the music to my new computer (iTunes).
How do I transfer it without losing the music? All the music in the iPod used to be stored in my old computer/itunes, which not longer exists.Hi rominabate,
Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you want to move your music from your iPod to your new computer. The article linked below provides several options for recovering music from your devices and backups, like transferring music that was purchased from the iTunes Store on your iPod to your computer.

GET MUSIC FROM OLD IPOD TO NEW IPOD
so i recently got the color ipod for my birthday, and i have the older model ipod [first ipod made i believe?]. i also am using a different computer than when i was first using my old ipod. i have about 3500 songs on my old ipod, and i dont know how to get the songs on my new ipod. they arent on my new computer, so ive been trying everything i can think of, if anyone can help me, it would be very much appreciated !!
toshiba Windows XPFirst of all, put the music from the old iPod back to your new computer (and then into iTunes).
try this method which works on some Windows PCs.
Enable your iPod for disk use.
See: iPod Disk Use.
Open iTunes and select edit/preferences/advanced/general. Put a check mark in the box marked "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" and also "keep iTunes music folder organized", then click 'ok'.
Connect the iPod whilst holding down the shift/ctrl keys to prevent any auto sync, and if you see the dialogue window asking if you want to sync to this itunes library, click 'no'.
Then go to file/add folder, open 'my computer', select your iPod and click 'ok'.
The music files should transfer to your iTunes.
If this doesn't work (and it may not because officially it's not supposed to), check out the instructions/suggestions here.
Music from iPod to computer (using option 2). This a manual method using "hidden folders" and although it works, it can be messy.
Much easier ways are to use one of the many 3rd party programs that copy music from the iPod to the computer.
One of the most recommended is Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music and playlists etc from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
Another free program is Pod Player.
There is also CopyPod. This does preserve ratings/playcounts etc if those are important to you but this program is not free. It also supports video transfer.
Once the music is safely in your new iTunes library, you can transfer it to the new iPod. -
