Music in first menu/menu text

im mainly done with my dvd for my partners birthday, now how can i make music play when the menu screen comes up, as every single menu has music in the background, however i cannot make the music play in this menu? i have tried dragging music files into it, but still cannot get the music to play, all my music is in itunes format?
also how do i get menu text to change, as in every menu i have got the text spinning how i want to, but i cannot get some menu's to change text and as such it just spins and says Revolution main or something like that

If you plan on using music purchased from iTunes, you should take these preliminary steps.
1. Burn the music in question to a CD.
2. Reimport the music as an AIFF file. iTunes>Preferences>Advanced>Importing>Import using: (drop down menu) AIFF encoder
3. This music can now be imported into your project.

In the top right corner you see the test "Revolution Chapters". Double-click on this text, and you will be able to change both the content and text style. When you make the changes you want, click outside of the text box for changes to take effect.

The default text used in the menu items such as About, Hide, Quit, Help, etc, is the name of the application. These items can be changed from the Interface Editor, but since this is part of the user interface guidelines, you should think carefully about changing them. Changing the application/project name is a bit trickier (if that is what you are wanting to do), since there are several files that use the name internally.

Hi,
It seems that the issue is explorer.exe crashing. Since the issue can always be caused by incompatible shell extension or driver conflict.
We can first use shellexView to disable non-Microsoft related extensions of Windows Explorer to see what’s going on:
1. Download ShellExView v1.41 from the following link

2. Extract "shexview.zip" file and open shexview.exe. It will scan the registry for all the shell extensions.
3. Select all the non-Microsoft extensions in pink by press "Ctrl" in the keyboard.
4. Click the "Disable Selected Items" on the toolbar and click Yes.
5. Restart your computer and check if the issue is resolved.
If the issue persists, then test the issue in Clean Boot and Safe Mode, and let me know the results.
Meanwhile, please configure Windows to create user-mode dumps. Create a System Restore Point first.
If you copy and paste the following in Notepad and save as a .reg file, then right-click the .reg file and select "Merge" to add to the registry, a .dmp file at the time explorer.exe crashes should be created in the C:\CrashDumps folder:

Background music disappearing from menu

Hello,
I have created a menu in photoshop and imported it to encore. Then I clicked "import as" > "asset" and chose a .wav file, which I intended should work as background music for the menu.
I dragged the wav file on top of the menu and everything seemed to work when I previewed the movie.
I then rendered and burnt it to a disk and here a problem occured. The music plays back nicely for about 15-20 seconds or so - then it just stops.
Does anyone got a tip on how to fix this issue? :)
In case you need the information it is AVCHD clips I edit and build the iso in blu-ray format.

I've just had the same problem - first time iTunes has been unreliable in many years! I bought and downloaded a music album to my iPad on Saturday morning. Listened to it all and then purchased a gift copy of the same album for someone.
But, having synced at least twice since Saturday, only one of the album tracks remains on my iMac and iPad.
First question is how and why this might have happened. Second question is: how do I get back the missing tracks I've paid for?

Photoshop CC 2014 UI Menu Text And Icon Size?

so i really like that adobe has added the "experimental" option to increase the ui menu text and icon size in photoshop cc 2014, it was almost unreadable on my 2560 x 1440 27" monitor with photoshop cs4 and illustrator cs4, but the lone 200% setting is too big... seems that 125%, 150%, or maybe even 175% would be much better solutions. in fact, for reasons i can't quite understand, the ui text and icon size in illustrator cc 2014 is spot on, absolutely perfect on my monitor, even tho there is no option for increased ui size as far as i can tell, it was spot on the moment i installed and launched it.
in short, the photoshop cs4 and illustrator cs4 user interfaces were identical in size as far as i could tell, and far too small on my 2560 x 1440 27" monitor. in terms of cc 2014, the illustrator ui is perfect out of the box on my monitor, considerably larger than illustrator cs4, while the photoshop cc 2014 ui is identical to cs4, tiny, but can be enlarged 200% which makes the ui too big. why couldn't/didn't adobe just make the photoshop cc 2014 base ui the exact same size as the illustrator cc 2014 ui? it would have been perfect (for my monitor size).

thanks... just wish illustrator cc 2014 wasn't so perfect in terms of ui size, i mean it's just great and, consequently, makes it seem as if the ball was dropped with photoshop cc 2014... i mean how can one be spot on while the other be so far off?

Basic question on how to change menu text in this FLA file

I am kind of new to Flash and I am just a bit stuck on where
I am suppose to edit the menu text in the flash file I purchased

I can see where to edit the hyperlinks in the action script
for each menu item but I can find the text (e.g. I want to change

Thanks for getting back to me. I've been really having a
problem with this flash header. Being new to some of these programs
doesn't help much. It's been a learning curve for me. I used a
program called Flash Decompiler Trillix to convert the swf to fla.
and converting the symbols as text so that I could edit them. It
turned out that the text that came up was a jumble of letters which
I had to decifer. I was finally able to change the all the text to
what they were supposed to be. After I exported it back into the
website in Dreamweaver the links on the drop down menus didn't
work.
It's as if the layers aren't connected in some way. The main
links work but I can't access the drop down part which also contain
links as well. I hope you can help me with this.

How can I make the menu text in Elements 11 larger?

I am having trouble reading the menu text in Elements 11 that I juat purchased. I have found that with many programs there is a way to enlarge the menu text, but so far I have not been able to find a way to make the menu text large enough for me to read unless I am about 1' away from the screen which I am sure you can imagine is not reasonable or acceptible.

Sorry to say but enlarging menu text is not possible in photoshop elements. You can try adjusting resolution to a lower value so that the menu text becomes a bit bigger.

All menu text is missing in Libreoffice Calc, including submenus. What should I do to make them appear again? When I take a screenshot with command "scrot", menu texts are visible on the image. I am using an NVidia FX5200, with "nouveau" driver.

Are you using a theme package such as "libreoffice-gnome" or "libreoffice-kde4"?
What window manager are you using? Are you using a compositor?
Is this problem only in Calc?

SAP Standard Menu Text missing while Creating Role in PFCG

All:
I am having a weird issue to where the "SAP Standard Menu Text" is missing when creating a role in PFCG and using the "Copy Menu > From SAP Menu" function.
When I click the button I get the following:
1) Popup of the SAP standard menu tree
2) The area for the folders where there should be text is missing
- appears as the " [ ] " symbols
3) "[ ]" symbols appears through entire menu tree for folders and transactions.
Any ideas?

Correct, you cannot add music to a layered menu, nor can you add video. There is no "solution" for this other than do not use layered menus.

Question concerning disco intro to first menu...

I'm ready to print my DVD. I used Final Cut to create a disc intro, using a scene from the movie. At the end of the clip, I created a freeze-frame and exported the frame to a JPEG. I used the JPEG as my menu screen background. So what happens, is the last frame of the disc intro becomes the background for the menu screen with no black frames or dissolves.
The problem--The menu screen stretches out the JPEG horizontally. I have no idea by how much it does this, otherwise I'd use Photoshop to correct.
How can I correct for this?

What you are referring to is often called "Play First," or "FBI Warning," depending on where one is looking.
As Steve points out, it is available in dedicated authoring programs. One more to add to Steve's list is DVD Studio Pro.
What you want is common in most authoring programs, and there is no limit (other than one's imagination) to what one might set as Play First, prior to the Menu. I just did a Project with six Timelines, prior to the first Menu, and the last was actually an AV file that had what appeared to be Buttons on that Menu flying in. They were not the "actual" Buttons, but just graphics of them. They were not active as Buttons, until the short Video ended and the real Menu came onto the screen. There was a 3 Frame moment, when it appeared that the Buttons were there, before the actual Buttons were on screen. If the user was very impatient, they might have clicked on one of these "fake" Buttons, but I figured that by the time those last 3 Frames played, the real Menu with Buttons would be on screen.
PrE is neat for straight DVD authoring, as it does most of the "heavy-lifting" for the user. However, in that semi-automation, there are some major limits. I'd look into some of the stand-alone authoring apps. (about the only common one missing from the list now is Sonic Scenarist, but it is $$$$$, and for pro authoring studios only), as they offer so much more power.
Also, be aware that the DVD-specs. are very strict, and limit what one can do with a DVD-Video. The trick is to "fool the audience," into thinking that they are seeing something, that cannot happen in the DVD-Video - create an illusion.

Menu text dropshadow in FF4

Does anyone know how I can get rid of the "white" dropshadow that appears on all the FF4 menu texts
I found the following fix worked to disable the dropshadow with tabs in Firefox 4 by adding:-
.tabbrowser-tab { text-shadow: none !important; }
to the userChrome.css file
but does anyone know what I need to add to disable the dropshadow for the main file menu text and also the text in the download bar etc as it doesn't appear as clean and clear as it did in FF3.

Disc menu text distorted

I have a problem with the menu text and scene images being distorted and blurry. I simply clicked on 'disc menus' and chose 'outdoor wedding' and entered a main title with a bit of text (standard font) and the text and images looks terrible in the preview and the text is badly distorted in the finished burned DVD.
The footage was shot with a Panasonic HDC-SD60 at HA1920 in PAL. I have not mixed any other format of footage in the project. There is just one still image at the end that I created in PE and I have created a title at the beginning of the footage against a black to fading in image. The title is just text.
The footage itself seems fine on the finished DVD, it's just the disc menu looks awful and it's just a standard disc menu option without any real tweaking. I find adding and adjusting text to this menu to be very unuser friendly, so I've stuck to the standard font and tried not to muck about with it too much. (On a slight detour - all my scenes start from a fade in so all the scene images are black. I try to adjust the green dots on the timeline and this changes the images on the scenes menu but it also starts the scenes from here. Is there a way to add a picture to these scene boxes without it starting from there?)

The workflow that I would use would be:
Create a New Project in HD to match the Source Footage 100%
Edit, Saving along the way
When finished, do a Save_As, changing the name a bit, like adding "final_HD" to it
Do all of the BD authoring in that Project, with HD Menu Sets, etc.
Burn to BD from that Save_As Project
Go back to the original Project (before the Save_As), Open it, and Export/Share to DV-AVI w/ 48KHz 16-bit PCM/WAV Audio
Create a New Project in DV (NTSC, or PAL), in Widescreen 16:9 w/ 48KHz 16-bit Audio
Import the DV-AVI
Edit, if necessary, but probably not
Do all of the DVD authoring in that Project, with Widescreen Menu Sets, etc.
Burn to DVD, using only high-quality blank media, like Verbatim, Taiyo-Yuden or Falcon Pro
