Music in iCloud is grayed out

I successfully logged into my music on iCloud from my work windows computer. THe second time I went to listen, all the tunes are grayed out. How to get them a second time?

I uncheched iTunes Match, then re-checked it, which solved the problem, at least for a session.

Having upgraded to Yosemite, I am able to sign into icloud via icloud preferences, but all my existing checkbox selections for icloud is grayed out. I can't edit them. I can't check the icloud drive either.
    I have a 2008 iMac.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm not using iCloud. Try signing out.

  • Icloud is grayed out shows an old AOL e-mail

My icloud is grayed out and it shows my old aol email. I went to the restriction setting it asking for a passcode and enter the correct code and now it says it is failed attempt.
    HELP!

Keep trying to remember the passcode.  If you can't remember it, the only way to remove it is to restore the phone as new without using your backup and start over (or restore a backup that was made prior to setting the restrictions passcode).  The only other option would be try to extract the passcode from a backup on your computer (if you have one) using 3rd party software as explained here: http://www.simonblog.com/2011/03/16/how-to-recover-forgotten-iphone-restrictions -passcode/.

  • ICloud items grayed out on MBP

    Hi all-
Last night I had to change my password for iCloud as it was entered incorrectly too many times (think I was typing it wrong). I've successfully done that and able to login both online as well as iTunes store, etc.
However, today when I booted my MBP, I was first greeted with a bunch of keychain warnings. I was able to cancel out of all of those then enter the new iCloud password and those warnings are no longer popping up at boot.
My problem now is that, when I got to both "iCloud" and "Internet Accounts" in system preferences, everything is grayed out (the items I should be able to check). At the top of both of those screens there's a "enter password" button, which I hit. I then enter my new password. It accepts it, in both, yet the screen it takes me to...with Photos, Mail, Contacts, Calendars..." etc are all still grayed. I cannot adjust, tick any of the radio buttons, etc. Also, under my user icon on the left both "Account Details" and "Set Up Family" are also grayed, unavailable to click.
Can anyone help? There is an option to "sign out" which I'm tempted to do and try signing back in, but then, when looking into that option I've read that items in iCloud stored on the mac will be removed. I don't want to risk losing data from this mac. Or will it all just be brought back into the MBP from iCloud once I log back in? OS X Yosemite: If you sign out of iCloud
Is there anything else I should be doing? Or is the play here to Sign Out and sign back in? Thanks.

Now I have another issue, potentially. When trying to sign out, I use my Apple ID to log into my computer. So now, before I can log out, it's telling me that I'll need to set up a new password and that I won't be able to use my Apple ID password to sign into this computer. This is quite annoying. If I do this step, re-log back into iCloud, will I then be able to revert back, setting my MBP login screen to my iCloud password? That's how I wanted it...it was seamless, allowing the same login online as I use when logging into this machine.

  • Why are the songs that I uploaded to the iCloud always graying out?

I've uploaded 14,000 songs to the Cloud.  Now most are grayed out.  Sometimes they show up and sometimes they don't.  This happens on my MacBook as well as my iPhone 6.  I'm signed in so that isn't the issue.
Also, why did the iCloud delete a whole bunch of my uploads? These were CDs like Tool and a few collector's songs that aren't in general release?

  • Having issues with my new iphone6 wants factory reset, but icloud is grayed out, Need help!

I am having problem with the imessage, facetime and icloud.  Facetime and icloud and completely grayed out right from the setting.  As to the under the "Messages" setting, iMessage is grayed out too.  I tried to use the "reset all settings" function on the phone, but I forgot my restriction code.  So I want to use factory restore on itune to restore my iphone, but it needs me to go to icloud setting to turn off the "find my iphone" before I can use the restore iphone.  But I can't access the icloud with the phone, since it's been grayed out.  Now I am stuck.. Please help!

On the discussion, there are instructions to go on iCloud.com and erase or factory reset your phone.

  • ICloud grayed out, restrictions won't allow reset?

My son set restrictions (and a password) on my iPhone, causing iCloud to gray out. The answer would be to reset the iPhone to factory settings, but I cannot do so until I can get into iCloud to turn off "find my iPhone." My son is special needs, and cannot tell me what password he set. How can I reset the phone?

  • Grayed out music

I just got a new computer and all my previously purchased music on iTunes is grayed out and the cloud icon is in constant motion. How do I fix this to make the music available? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!

    Thanks gdmacguy,
    Yes to answer your question.
As it turned out I had to check manual upload,  then I had to unplug the phone and retry it.
    Thanks.

  • HT4759 icloud grayed out on ipad2

my icloud if grayed out on my ipad  cant figure out why?

You need to restore from a backup made before the code was set. If no such backup exists, restore to factory settings.

I'm trying to turn on iCloud on my iTouch but the toggle button is grayed out! Help please

If you mean iCloud is grayed out in settings, go to Settings>General>Restrictions>Accounts (near the bottom) and set this to Allow Changes.

  • Automatically sync when this iPhone is connected, is 'Grayed Out'?

Itune 11.0..2. / iPhone 5 / Backups > iCloud / Options > 'Grayed out', (not available?) "Automatically sync when this iPhone is connected". Why is this grayed out?

This one was odd:  it stopped after the first sync was finally completed--had to interrupt several times to use the phone away from the computer before all the music and photos were fully reloaded.  Now it waits appropriately for next sync.  This is probably why no one else had seen this or replied.

  • Why is a mailbox grayed-out?

  • My Incoming Mail Server is grayed out....so, it is not working. How to fix?

My Incoming Mail Server  for iCloud is grayed out....so, it is not working. How to fix?

It easiest way that sometimes solves the problem would be to delete your account from your Mac (system
Preferences... > iCloud) and then to add it back again.
