Music in iPhone 4 and iTunes not in sync. Have 2000 songs on iPhone that iTunes does not know about.
I have an iPhone 4. I recently moved to a new laptop. I have about 2000 songs stuck on my iPhone that iTunes does NOT recognize. I've tried several things. I've went back and forth between "manually manage music and videos." I've checked/unchecked Sync Music. I've checked/unchecked playlists, artists, etc. At this point, iTunes doesn't think I have any music on my iPhone EXCEPT for the Capacity. The Capacity seems to be right. At this point, without deleting every artist individually and manually, I'd like to delete the 2000 songs and start over. Any tips?
Updating is not suppose to wipe any media or apps.
It may happen because sometimes things just go wrong.
I would back everything up first.

- I would start with
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
or
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
- Then do the other actions of:

- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

I have the iPhone 4, and yesterday I synced my photos onto iTunes, but now I have albums on my phone that cannot be deleted, and there is not an option to delete the items in the albums individually... How do I get rid of these unwanted albums? Using Windows 7.
If you used iTunes to get the photos on the phone, then use the same iTunes and uncheck the music you don't want and do another sync.

When I open iTunes it is slow to open for one, and two when it does see my iPhone and i go to sync it this is what I get in return... The iPhone "My Name here" could not be synced because the iPhone could not be found on the network. that is a pop up box in middle of screen that says that it does it like every time I go to sync the phone after i do app updates. I am getting very frustrated by this can someone please help. I have made 2 other discussion topics about this and no replies on them. Please if anyone can help I ask for help. This has occurred ever since the iOS 5.1 update and the iTunes 10.6.0 and still continues with the iTunes 10.6.1 update just yesterday and perhaps even worse now. PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN. I have the latest iTunes software on my iMac mini and now have IOS7 on my iPhone and now I cant sync music from my library either by wifi or by usb? I get song lists that scoll at a million miles an hour but no actual content. What should I do to get my music onto my iphone.
Here is what worked for me:
My usb hub, being usb2, was too fast. I moved the wire to a usb port directory on my pc. That is a usb1 port which is slow enough to run your snyc. -

I would like to sync Notes between my MacBook Air and the IPhone and/or IPad. I used to tick a box in Itunes (info), but for some reason it is no longer there. How do I go about doing the sync?
The only way to sync Notes is through a mail server. If you don't want to use iCloud, you'll have to use some other mail account, or run your own mail server under OS X Server. The latter is a job for advanced users only.

Sync from iPhone to iCal on MacBook has failed since the latest iPhone upgrade, yesterday. It's worked in reverse, and all other sync operations appear to have worked. Any solutions, that I may not have already tried (over and over)
(Sorry, first time user of these forums, and it's confusing in it's own right)You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

Can anyone help me figure out how to sync my ipod with my purchased music? I have used several computer and at one point synced my ipod with a computer that only had about half of my music. My other computers are no longer working. Not sure how to get my purchased music back onto my ipod?

Your previous purchases are saved on iCloud even if you bought them on another computer. If you can't find them on your current computer, you might need to unhide them. Go to iTunes preferences, and click on Store Preferences. Then click the box for "show iTunes in the Cloud purchases". Then click on OK, and everything you've ever bought from iTunes on that Apple ID will show up in your library. You will need to download them from iCloud first before you can synch them to your iPod Classic. To do this, click on the little cloud with the arrow in it next to your song, and it will download to your computer. When you have the music that you want downloaded, plug in your iPod and synch away. Hope this helps!
