Music is being censored. Don't know why.
Hello again Gurus-
I have a 32GB 3rd gen ipod touch that I got a few months ago. I love it, but I am having two problems with it.
First, and most annoying, is that it has censored all my music!! There are no parental controls active in my itunes nor are there any restrictions turned on on the touch. The same music is loaded on two different nanos, and is censored in neither. This is very annoying when I'm belting out my tunes on the road and I would do anything to fix it. Anyone know why my music is being censored without me asking my touch to do so?
The second problem isn't as big a deal.... I have two laptops that I have itunes and my music on. Both my nanos sync with both computers fine and I have never had a problem transferring music or videos from either computer to either nano. But, my touch will sync with both of my computers, but it won't let me transfer anything (music, TV, etc.) off one of them. I can't really figure out why, as my touch is recognized by both. Any thoughts?

Firstly about the first question. What do you mean by "censored"? Is the Touch telling you you not allowed to play the files or something? Can you elaborate on that a bit more so I can help you more?
Second. This issue may reside in that iTunes keeps a backup of the settings, calendars, contacts etc. This may be something to do with the Touch not being able to be used with two different machines. (not too sure though, will ook into that more.)

freakmeoutThere's a bug with 10.1.0.54 that is causing "iTunes has stopped working messages" (citing CoreAudioToolbox.dll in the Problem Reports for the error) for some folks when importing CDs with the AAC encoding, adding/converting files to AAC, and in some cases syncing devices (when the convert to 128 kbps AAC option is enabled).
Short of rolling back your iTunes to 10.0.1.22 and your Apple Application Support to 1.3.2 (CoreAudioToolbox.dll is kept in the Apple Application Support program files), there's a few possible workarounds.
(1) Change your importing prefs to use a different encoding (won't help with the device syncing variation though), and/or disable the convert to 128 kbps AAC when syncing option.
(2) Replace your CoreAudioToolbox.dll version 7.9.4.0 with a 7.9.3.0 as per:

my itunes keeps asking me to set my permissions. they are set to read and write for all accounts, admin, everybody, etc. don't know why it won't let me download
Ever find a real solution to this? I just posted something similar - been having the issues ever since I started using the mac.
I have 5 mac accounts: 2 of those are admins.
After I installed every program I may possibly want, I redid all my user accounts (as I had been having a lot of permissions issues before that). My (admin) account downloads fine. Another admin account, set up exactly as mine, periodically gets prompted that it doesn't have the right to download.
To avoid duplication, I have a /common/music directory for all itunes accounts music. We have to periodically do a recursive permissions deal on the 2nd admin account so it can put music there, even though that directory is read/write for everyone. Apple's never been able to help me on this... -

I'm new with flash and don't know why the timers don't work like i would expect. In VB.NET timers are how you move stuff, but it doesn't look like they are ideal for moving stuff in flash at all (really slow). I'm making a game in which you throw a ball around the screen. i am using a timer to get the ball to move. this doesn't work well for 2 reasons; 1: the ball jumps alot, and 2: the timer should eventually run out of time. Timing for movement would be more often dealt with using something that operates at the frame rate of the file. The ENTER_FRAME event is usually selected for this purpose.

Broadband usage has doubled and I don't know why

Just received a warning message that I am about to exceed my 40gb limit. Normal monthly usage has been 18gb apparently and we don't know why the increase has occurred. We have no kids at home, we don't stream films or videos or play games, I've downloaded 1 music album this month and we've surfed the net as usual.
Can this usage be verified?
Any tips on checking whther someone else is using our broadband....is this possible?
Any tips on why this might be happening...it's puzzling.
Is there an indpependent (non BT) way of monitoring and measuring broadband usage?

In my experience the only way to sort this out is to hope that your post draws the attention of a forum moderator. Anyone on the phones will try and convince you that you are indeed downloading 20 albums a day, uploading 3000 pictures a week etc etc and "it all mounts up" and you would be far better on an Unlimited Package.
I had problems (in fact thinking about it, this time last year) where my usage had crept up and according to BT my son and I were using 90gb a month, despite no streaming, gaming etc. I am on a 40gb package like yourself so was incurring £50 charges each month. In the end it was resolved with BT agreeing it wasn't possible for us to be getting through that amount but as I wasn't using a BT router at the time it was impossible to prove that someone hadn't been piggybacking my wifi. (I'd changed passwords during the high readings to no avail anyway).
My personal advice would be to keep a daily eye on your broadband monitor, screenshot them if need be, if you have been out during the day or away for any great length of time also note the readings that appear for that day. I also check my BT homehub to make sure only the devices in my house are hooked in just in case.
As it happens I've also noticed a big jump in my readings this month, I have just a few GB to spare but in my opinion the readings are still high compared to what I was noting at the tail end of last year after I finally had SeanD look into the matter for me.
I do hope that the meters arent going up the creek yet again because I've sworn that if it should happen again I'm walking to a different company this time around.

When i try to send email from my ipad i get the message The recipient "£)()&&£)" was rejected by the server. This has only just started to happen and I don't know why. Please can someone help. I have tried lots of things now and cannot solve it.
"Your email account" means to tap on the name of your email account. Whatever it is listed as in the settings.
In my mail settings, one of my email accounts is a Comcast account. I tap on the Comcast name and it brings up this window.
Then I tap on the arrow under the Outgoing mail server smtp setting to get to the next window.
In the resulting window, I then tap on the arrow next to the smtp server under the Primary Server setting.
That brings up this window in which I check to make sure that my user name and password have been entered correctly. If those items are missing, enter them in the appropriate fields and then tap done. -
In my Macbook Pro, the Finder folder has duplicate images in the 'all images' file. One image is small and the other is full size. First question is why do I have two of every image? Why is one small and the other large. Do I need two of everything? If not, which do I delete?

Nearly all images are JPG with a few GIF and PNG sprinkled in.
I opened the inspector so I do get info when opening each image, but it a slow process.
It seems that one image is around 70k while its twin can be up to 4Mb which is what comes unedited from my camera. Sometimes there will be 3 or 4 identical images in finder, but when I open iPhoto to see what ‘s really in the file, I find only one image, and it’s full sized.
Are all these extra images, even if they are aliases, taking up space on my drive? And should I delete them? The info bar says I have over 10,000 images, which is rather a lot for what I do.
I am unable to add the file size on the view menu as it is grayed out. Don’t know why it’s gray, but having that info on the screen would save a lot of time and fiddling with each image.
I am trying to resize selected pix so I can upload them to e-bay, which requires less than 70k. I have looked at resizing programs but most are for PC platform and not Mac, so I am trying to resize in the finder window under tools. Tedious at best. Any suggestions will be appreciated

I have problem with Itunes losing where podcasts and some purchased music is located. Don't know how Itunes losing the locations of the files and I can't find the files on my hard drive. What can I do to stop Itunes losing location and restore my files?
Try assigning Queen as the Album Artist on the compilations in iTunes on your computer.

After shutting down my iMac last night, Firefox will not open this morning and I don't know why?
My iMac is set to open to my home page My Yahoo with Firefox browser. This morning my Firefox browser is not opening and I don't know why? It does open on my new MacBook Air as per usual. I click on the icon but it does not respond even though I have opened it. this has never happened to me before and I don't know why it's happening now. I did a clean reinstall but that didn't work. Now what?????? With the add-on Troubleshooter should I have asked this question on my iMac using Safari? I am on my MacBook Air asking it.
Actually it does open but nothing shows up. I can't use my iMac unless I use the Safari browser and I want to use Firefox! I'm at my wits end as to how to fix this. I have tried everything that troubleshooting has suggested on Mozilla support. Help!!!!!!!!

It can take a day or even two sometimes before the transaction is processed. Paypal is then the first to inform you by email and later it is Apple. I have a credit card in my Paypal account which means that I don't have to put money into Paypal.
And if the purchase is not billed at all, no problem at all I guess.

Must use disk image with toast or I get coasters
I have four DVD-R 'coasters' behind me. When I went to burn 4X in Toast, I got verification errors each time. So I created a disc image from the Video_TS folder and that worked fine with Toast. I don't have an inkling what is going on here. Any guess
