Music issues

Ever since I updated to IOS 8.0.2 on my 3rd gen Ipad my music is messed up. When I go to artist in music and I pick one and play a song every artist now I pick has the songs of the first artist I picked and no other songs form the artist I pick now. How can I fix this? I have updated my ipad with new music from iTunes but nothing changed still has the same issue.

If I understand what you are saying, no matters which artist you select now, you can only play songs from the first artist that you selected. Is that correct? If it is, close the Music app and reset your iPad.
In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • Family Sharing music issue

I have an iPhone 6 and a Macbook Pro that are both updated to the latest software versions.  I have family sharing turned on on both and have been able to successful download some music on both devices. There are many songs that I try and download though that are not successful. On my iPhone it just says its unable to download at this time, on my mac it acts like it downloaded and then when I go to play the song it tells me that the computer is not authorized and the box to authorize pops up.  This only happens with certain songs other songs play just fine and my computer has been authorized with my apple id forever.  Please Help!

    Hello Fallik,
I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on the exact configuration you are describing. Family Sharing is normally used to share content between different accounts from multiple people in the same family. Is the content you are having issues downloading or playing content that was purchased by a different member of your Family Group? If so, you may find the information and steps outlined in the following article helpful:

  • Burned DVD issues in DVD player not reading or music issues stop and start

I'm a PC converted to a MAC (less than a month) and love it so far. I have been able to create and burn a DVD. The problem I'm having is one DVD player will not read the DVD (Hitachi). The other DVD player will play it, but the music stops and starts when it transitions (twirl) to another picture (Panasonic DVD/VHS combo). I'm using a DVD R Memorex. Neither one of the player are new. Would love to use this to make the Grandparent's a DVD of the grandchildren from birth to present as Christmas present. What do I need to use or do to be able to watch on any DVD player as well as the computers?

    Hi me01
Welcome to apple discussions. Try using 99 photos / less to avoid issues with audio fades / drops. Also do a search for Memorex on this forum and you'll see it's not the first choice of dvd's for most users. Instead try Verbatim, Maxell, or Taiyo Yuden and burn at 4x from a disc image for best results. Wish you luck and feel free to post back with results or any further questions.

  • HT4528 I am having a music issue.

When I go to play music, if the artist has more than one album, my iPhone 4S shuffles on its own and won't play a song. Sometimes, it just randomly picks a song for me, but not the one I wanted. Is anyone else having this issue?

Sounds like you have Shuffle turned on.  Tap the screen while playing a song to bring up the scrubber bar, see the criss-cross arrows to the right of the bar?  That's the Shuffle icon -- if it is blue then it is ON, so tap it to turn it OFF.
The other possibility is that you have "Shake to Shuffle" enabled, go to Settings/Music and see if that is turned on.

  • Airplay music issues everywhere

I wonder, Airplay is nothing new nowadays, but nevertheless I have issues playing music all the time. I click the airplay icon on my device, it stays blued-out (selected) for a few seconds and unselects itself. No music. I have to try like 20 times before AppleTV finally accepts and plays music from either my iPhone or iPad 2. I use Airport Extreme and AppleTV2 at home.
At the office we have a few base stations connected to speakers and it's the same - sometimes the music plays straight away, but most times I have to selected the stupid airplay icon many times before it even makes a sound.
I don't expect this to be a problem in my install as I have the exact same issue on all my devices (iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPad, iPad2) on all networks I've had - Airport Express base extending a Wifi and an AppleTV2 connected to Extreme.
    ***** for sure

I am having the exact same issue with Iphone 4 and iPad 1st gen.  I can view video, photos, and use the remote app just fine.  Also I'm not having an issue with the icon, it is there and detects the Apple TV but music just doesn't stream.  Or more accurately audio isn't streaming.  Not even non-music apps or games are working.

  • Since ios7 Major Music Issues

I have an iPad 2 and ever since I updated to ios7 my iTunes library has been a mess it will not play, there are these red boxes with red circles on each song and every time I try to play a certain album, it deletes it from my library. I have lost over 500 songs already, I have tried to sync almost 10 times to my PC's iTune library and it will not reload the missing alblums. Please help......

Similar issue here. This was my fix:
Altered from original solution from Emily P:
Okay, mine now works here is what I did.
plug in the iPhone, iPad etc
in iTunes select the phone or iPad
Under Summary uncheck "Sync with this....."
Under "Music" uncheck the "Sync Music"
    Sync
Let it remove all the songs, dont worry it will come back no problems.
Once that is all done all the music on the phone or ipad should be gone.
Now check them both back on, sync, and everything should copy back onto it.
    Working now !!!!!

  • Music issue on iPad mini

I've been having problems with getting music onto my iPad mini.  Doesn't matter if it's from music match or syncing from iTunes.  The music files do not transfer or download.  None at all.  I've restored the iPad.  I reset it twice.  Nothing seems to help.

So I actually "fixed" it. The headphones I was using had a built in remote. I switched that wire to a standard one (it came with both) and I no longer have the issue. Seems the Sony remote built into the headphone wire wasn't compatible with the iPhone...

  • IPhoto 11 - slideshow music issue on manual picture change

    Hi community,
do you experience the same behaviour?
When navigating through the pictures in an iPhoto 11 slideshow manually e.g. by using forward and backward arrow keys, then the music always stutters or let's say "jumps" a little bit. Very annoying!
Does anybody have the same issue? Does anybody know a solution for this?
    Thanks in advance,
    Flo

Yes.  iPhoto is jumping to the music synced to that slide when you use the advanced arrow key.  That's normal.   The only solution is to let the slideshow play itself out.

  • Help with iPhone Music Issues

Ok so here we go. I have over 2,500 songs uploaded to my iPhone. They were all uploaded by my old PC and I recently just got a MacBook Pro. I do not know what happened but every time I go to play my music using headphones or in the aux input in my car the music will not play. I click on an album for it to start up and the phone just kicks me back to the menu without playing anything. Now when I hook the phone up to my new MacBook the songs play off of the computer with no issue, so the data must still be on my phone correct? How can I get these tunes to play again without having to be connected to the computer?
Also, I have some new music uploaded to my new MacBook and I want the songs to uploaded to the iPhone but when I drag tracks over it will not put the songs on the phone. I went into the menu and said sync manually which is what I prefer to do and it tells me that it will erase all of my music and I don't want that!
So why won't all of the songs that I have on there now play without it being hooked up to the computer and why can't I get my new tunes uploaded to the phone? I hope all of those songs are not lost because ripping all of my cds and uploading them back to the phone would not be a fun task! If anyone can help me with these two matters I would appreciate it so very much! Thank you!
    -Zach

Your iTunes library on your old PC should have been transferred to your Mac along with all other important data such as documents, photos, etc.
iTunes content can be transferred to an iPhone from an iTunes library on a single computer only. When transferring iTunes content from another computer, all iTunes content transferred from a different computer will be erased from the iPhone first. This will not occur when transferring your iTunes library from your old computer to your new computer per the instructions included with this link.

  • Iphone 4s updated to iOS 7.1.2 music issue

    Greetings,
I put off downloading my old iphone for as long as I could and finally did yesterday. Today I tried several times to put back the music I'd removed to make space for the new software and nothing actually ends up on my phone. The little "space used up" bars at the bottom of itunes is as wrong as ever, but nothing is on my phone. Except podcasts, I have several back that I'd deleted weeks ago and now I can't even figure out how to delete them.
    Any assistance is appreciated.

Meaning anything that isn't backed up somewhere else, that would be totally lost? Not really.
I've also just been in itunes and some songs  seem to be missing, I tried creating a playlist to possibly get some music back, but no go. So I've got an itunes issue too, it was just updated as well.
And here I was thinking my phone would work better

  • ATI Radeon 3870 HD Video/X-Fi extreme Music Issu

Here is a new problem that so far no one has any ideas about.
Got a new Radeon 3870 HD, and it works great, BUT ever since i intalled this card i can not run 5. speaker configuration because all i get is real bad noise and distortion, sometimes the sound cutting out all together. I have tried both the vid card in both PCIe slots and X-FI in different PCI Slots but that didnt help, i have the latest driver version for everything on my system. It works fine in 2 speaker mode and 4 speaker mode. Switched to onboard sound and i have no problems running 5..... This video card also has a realtek HD audio chip on it to output sound through an HDMI cable. Im thinking htere is some sort of conflict between the HD Audio drivers and the X-Fi drivers causing this problem. Disabling this HD audio on the Vid card in device manager helps the problem a little bit, but does not fix it. I have even made sure that the X_Fi was set as default audio device.
Here is my basic system configuration:
Vista Ultimate 64bit, 3 GB RAM, Radeon 3870 HD Video, X-Fi extreme music, Nforce 4 x6 MoBo.
Im thinking its a low level driver issue causing problems with the onboard HD audio on the vid card.

hi i had a simular peoblem with the xfi music, and the hd 3870. i could not get my xfi to work at all, in device manager it kept saying error code 0 . in device manager there was a hd audio that i could not uninstall to save my life i thought it was the on board audio for the motherboard. but after i read your email it clicked, i uninstalled the ati drivers and rebooted the machine and bam the xfi started working, then installed the ati drivers, and i think it fixed it. i still get some strange noise sometimes, and i think it is because of the hd audio, i wish their was a way to uninstall it , if you do it in divice manager, it just comes back .
You've got do disable your onboard sound in your bios.

  • Ios 8 mail app and music issues

AFter installing ios8 my mail app has practically stopped working. The mails are just not opening.  I have to go to safari to hotmail instead. Then i uploaded a lot of music last night and realised this morning not all songs synced. And i tried to add them today but it wont let me!! Really annoyed. Updated to ios 8.0.2 this morning and nothing has changed or improved. So annoyed now . Apple when will these issues be sorted??

Oh, I had the same problem with the music. I had told it to sync all of my music, but it didn't.
To solve this, I went to the "Music" tabs, unticked "Sync Music", then apply it (yes, this will delete the music off the iPhone). Then (even though it looks like the music is still there),  Then tick the "Sync Music" and apply that, and it should sync the music

  • ITunes music issues

My iMovie HD will not allow me to put purchased music songs on my timeline without password verification. I do the password verification and it doesn't do anything. This never happened with Panther. So I get Tiger and this is how Mac rewards me? Do they think I am going to publish the next Citizen Kane on iMovie?
Is there anything I can do?
    High Regards,
    Dan

    Hi Dan:
This is all the result of Apple being careful with the piracy problems out there right now.
Probably the best workaround is to burn your tunes to an audio CD and then import into imovie from there.
But before anything, please read what Apple has to say:
iTunes: "privileges" or "permissions" issue when importing audio CD or adding music to library

  • N8 - Ovi Music issue

    Hi,
After restarting my phone (it had some of the bugs listed on this forum...) i've found I can't access to my user details on ovi music application.
It opens browser and there are 3 icons at the bottom: home, details, search. When I press "home" or "details" it says "internet connection time expired".
    Has anyone experienced same issue?
I gave my phone to a Nokia care point... they recover the Social widget, but ovi music is not working properly.
    Thanks in advance!

Try clearing the privacy data on the browser, it may allow you to log in again, also try another connection via wifi !
