[Music] 'It's been a while...' Section to rediscover old music

Music consumption has obviously really changed since streaming started and with they great discovery features of services like Spotify I often find myself forgetting older music.
I'd love to see a section on the app like discover which is titled something like 'It's been a while' in which is recommends music from your library or past listening history which you haven't listened to in over 6-12 months. Obviously it would need to be based on music you played a fair amount back when you were listening to it.

Assuming you are not manually managing your music, verify the following:
You are using the latest version of iTunes
On the summary tab of your iTunes sync settings you have checked "Sync only checked songs and videos"
In your music library you have checked all the songs you want to sync to your phone
There are no exclamation points next to any of the songs you want to sync to your phone
You have authorized your computer for all Apple IDs for purchased music you want to sync to your phone (in Store>Authorize this computer)
You have checked "Sync Music" on the Music tab of your iTunes sync settings
When everything looks correct, sync your phone.

HT1329 I just downloaded iTunes to a new computer. It's been a while since I used iTunes on my old computer. I don't see any of my playlists on the new computer. What is the easiest way to transfer my playlists without having to recreate each one?

OK, thanks for the response. I'm copying it onto a memory stick to transfer it to the new computer. Still have two questions:
1. Since there is already an iTunes folder on the new computer, created when iTunes was downloaded, where exactly do I copy the old folder onto the computer so that iTunes can find it? In the old interface, there used to be a field where one could designate the path to find music and I don't see that in the new interface.
Assuming the above takes care of putting my playlists onto the new computer...
2. How do I add music that is currently stored in a back up file but was not on my old computer's drive? I'm worried that I would have to add these one by one somehow, and there are a lot of songs.

It's been a while since I upgraded my PC and am a bit behind on things.
Here's what I installed:
OS: XP Professional
CPU: Phenom 9600 2.3Ghz AM2+ x4 L2+L3=4Mb, 95W, 65nm
MB: MSI K9N2 SLI Patinum nForce 750a, BIOS=V3.5 current
RAM: 4GB Patriot Viper EPP PC-6400 800Mhz (4,4,4,12)
Video: 2x GeForce 6600GT 512MB PCI-E
PS: New 550W
Everything on "Auto" in BIOS.
The good news is that I'm using it now. The problem is games, it seems to be slower than the old configuration?
I have to turn everything down to minumum or to off to prevent lag. Real disapointed having invested time and $$$ to upgrade.
There must be something not set right. The old configureation was a AMD dual core with one video card and 2MB of memory. I swiched from SLI mode to one graphics card and it seamed to be the same? I mean.................... damn........... what gives? Where's the bottle neck, Anyone with any ideas????????
Also - What is SVM and it's purpose, can't find it with search.
I can't adjust voltage in BIOS. I can highlight but can't change?

That's 550watts 38A suggested system wide, as Mike said, containing a card of that design, but nonetheless you done good. Who knows what you'll want to add to your system in the future and what type of demands they'll place on your PS. That supply will do it.

What are temps? Idle and full load for cpu, gpu, and chipset? Use some type of burn in test to load system to report full load temps. Folding@Home works very well to stress test and it furthers medical research to boot.(Consider joining MSI HQ's team) Monitor temps voltages, timings, and temps with Everest or the like. Other programs of interest are HW monitor, CPUZ, Core Temp. Check out the stickies in the overclocking forum for links to these and other programs that might interest you. FYI in case anyone is following this:
I selected the one game I wanted to restore, I resynced. iTunes reinstalled the game but the DATA WAS NOT RESTORED.
So the question I have for APPLE: *** is the purpose of DATA BACKUP when SYNC cannot RESTORE it? Apps are backed up, data is backed up, but SYNC only restores the app. APPLE + iTUNES = CRAP.

I have a hardware driver which calls java based on hardware interupts. The c code attaches to the current thread, calls a static method, then detaches. If I dont detatch, it works perfectly (but probably leaves the thread in limbo), but if I detach it always gives the error below. Im using jbuilder X java on windows XP, and the java callback just prints the passed parameter string. Any ideas?

You have not been charged for creating an Apple ID. That does not incur any sort of fee. If you've just created an iTunes Store account and entered in a credit card, Apple as do most merchants puts a small credit hold on your card to confirm that it's valid. The hold will be released by your bank in a few days.

Been a while :) GX740 Issues

Context
I've been having serious overheating problems with the laptop and cleaning out the cooler didnt help enough. Even using SpeedFan to turn it up to 100% and using a cooling pad I'd be overheating if I didn't have a SEPARATE fan pointed at my laptop.
I know the laptop is getting on in age but I really want to avoid splashing cash on a new laptop right now.
NB: Overheating for me meant: graphical artifacts, laptop switching off, black screen, variations of this. The GPU is the culprit as Prime95 resulted in no problems, however Furmark's 720p default test resulted in artifacts after 15-20s and I needed to close the app.
Issue
Having used the excellent MSI HQ Forum flashing tool, I followed the steps and updated my vbios using the latest version found on the product page. This made things infinitely worse with the laptop screen now going black/white lines if I don't have all the cooling additions running even during normal usage (the problem existed only in games). I can now no longer even start games except something simple like Thomas Was Alone and even then overheating/black screen occurs after less than a minute of play. Furmark almost immediately results in black screen/crash
I then had a look at the USB (looking for backup.bin) in order to rollback but I could find no such file. I then freaked out a bit and decided to update the BIOS and EC as well since I remember reading that they rely on one another. This (a) Didnt help the issue (b) Version numbers didnt change for either the BIOS or EC flashes while they did for the vBIOS flash
No backup.bin was created when attempting the subsequent 2 flashes.
What are my options? I forgot to do the battery removal thing (resetting EC?) after the vbios flash and got a blue screen, after which I remembered and did it. Should I flash the vBIOS again?

I plan on getting some new thermal paste but I given the issues I'm having I highly doubt that it will completely solve the overheating problem

Did you check to see what vbios you currently have installed with GPU-Z? You might have v27 already, which would mean it's pointless.
Just wondering, since you don't make mention of what is currently installed.

Been a while since I've been on the site posting (been lurking on the boards for a while lol). It has also been ages since I applied for a new card. Since the last time I posted really the only thing that happened was my ex wife and I bought a house. We have since divorced and sold the house. Long story short no real impact on credit. I had been getting a bunch of preapprovals in the mail and have been considering a new card. Not that I really need one as my others have had a zero balance for about 7 months. But I have been thinking again of trying to bump up my scores a little more. They are not bad at all just not exactly where I want them. I believe my last look at the scores where about 770. So I went for it and applied for the AMEX BCP today. I had several that popped up on line. 1 was reg ED and other was a pref ED. I chose the cash back feature on the BCP. I was approved!! So just saying hi and saying I got approved. Not sure how long it will take for me to get it but I'm excited. Cash back feature will be nice I feel.

How to Install OS X Updates Successfully
A. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions:
Boot from your current Tiger Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. Then select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger and later.) After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer. Now restart normally.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior (4.0 for Tiger) and/or TechTool Pro (4.5.2 for Tiger) to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
B. Make a Bootable Backup Using Restore Option of Disk Utility:
Open Disk Utility from the Utilities folder.
Select the destination volume from the left side list.
Click on the Restore tab in the DU main window.
Check the box labeled Erase destination.
Select the destination volume from the left side list and drag it to the Destination entry field.
Select the source volume from the left side list and drag it to the Source entry field.
Double-check you got it right, then click on the Restore button.
Destination means the external backup drive. Source means the internal startup drive.
C. Important: Please read before installing:
If you have a FireWire hard drive connected, disconnect it before installing the update unless you will boot from this drive and install the update on it. Reconnect it and turn it back on after installation is complete and you've restarted.
You may experience unexpected results if you have installed third-party system software modifications, or if you have modified the operating system through other means. (This does not apply to normal application software installation.)
The installation process should not be interrupted. If a power outage or other interruption occurs during installation, use the standalone installer (see below) from Apple Downloads to update. While the installation is in progress do not use the computer.
D. To upgrade:
Purchase the Snow Leopard Retail DVD.
Boot From The OS X Installer Disc:
Insert OS X Installer Disc into the optical drive.
Restart the computer.
Immediately after the chime press and hold down the "C" key.
Release the key when the spinning gear below the dark gray Apple logo appears.
Wait for installer to finish loading.
E. If updating:
Download and install update(s)
Use Software Update, or
Download standalone updater(s).
