Music items originally downloaded ok some now show the "!"

The tracks are still seen in the iTunes library but long winded process to try and recover. I have tried many solutions from forums but none appear to work. I want to re download all my Purchased music but iStore says already downloaded so unable to do so. I want to have my music on the mac not in the cloud.
Any ideas folks.

Looks like we could be getting somewhere a couple of things the "!" does not automatically appear only when you try to play a track which it can't find does it flagged it up but onceit's there it stays until the track is re installed. The other is following your last email I tried deleting an album but the tracks did not appear on the store page however I discovere that I had only deleted it in the Purchased folder in iTunes it was also in the library folder (although I believed all tracks had been consolidated) when I deleted the second copy the album appeared in not in my library and I was able to successfully download it and hey presto no "!" when I played it. I will try a few more to check and if ok will comment back.

The system regularly lets the battery drop to about 95% when on the charger, then recharges to 100%. This lets the batery exercise "just a little" all of the time and saves the recharge curcuits from overuse.
Regualr occurence for me.
Also ... you need to let your battery work at least once per month. Let it run down to 40%, but not less if you can at all avoid it. Running thr battery fully dead will shorten the battery life significantly.

Try tapping on the icon and see if the download resumes. Check and see if you a stalled download in iTunes - a song or a podcast - something that did not complete in there. If so - tap on that download to try to resume.
If that doesnt work - reboot - hold down on the sleep and home buttons for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears - ignore the red slider - let the iPad restart. See if the download starts again.

If you can hide the status bar, it would be an option inside the app. I have one or two apps where that is an option but in most apps it is not.

Turn your phone off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your phone and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a phone in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.
Unfortunately, the data on your phone is already gone if you're seeing the connect to iTunes logo.

Ever since updating to IOS5 my iPhone will no longer sync with my iTunes on my computer. It states that my computer is not authorized to sync with my iPhone yet it is authorized. My "Music" folder on my iPhone is now showing as completely empty.

Guys, I found another user and what he said to do worked!!! I have copied the information below:
This was 1 of the things that happend to me too, the other one was that at the bottom of the itunes page were it says all the memory info, it marked that I had over 3gb of other memory wich I didn't.
Anyways what I did was to unmark the calendar, contacts etc. ( so that they wont sync with the computer ), pressed apply, then I marked all of them again, apply again and for last I pressed Sync wich is at the bottom right coner by the apply botton.
I'm not sure that had anything to do with it but it worked, my music appeard both of my itunes playlists and the ones I bought in itunes. Also the other memory dissapeard and it's all good.
I'm not sure this will help you but thats my 5 cents, if the problem continues its better to call customer service and ask for a technician.

First, Time Machine doesn't completely back up the iPhoto library while iPhoto is running. Make sure you quit iPhoto after making any changes to allow a backup to take place.
This simple procedure will clear your Time Machine settings, including both overt and hidden exclusions. If you have a long exclusion list that can't be recreated easily, you may prefer a more complicated procedure that preserves the exclusion list. In that case, ask for instructions. Otherwise, do as follows.
Triple-click the line below to select it:
/Library/Preferences/com.apple.TimeMachine.plist
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu. A Finder window should open with a file selected. Copy it to the Desktop. Then move it (the original, not the copy) to the Trash. If TM now performs as expected, delete the file you copied to the Desktop.

Reader 6 and Menu item hyperlink "Download New Reader Now "

Some of our installations reflect in the Upper Right Corner a hyperlink to: "Download New Reader Now" which when selected provides access to upgrade Reader. Does anyone know what app setting or reg key makes this available? How do I remove or hide it?

My purchased music won't download when I click on the cloud icon

I bought a few songs on my iPad and synced it on my computer. After syncing it shows on my iPad that I need to download the songs. When I click to download it doesn't. I synced my iPod and iPhone from my computer after I synced my iPad to update my playlists and the songs downloaded on them no problem. I've tried several times to sync my iPad and even removed the songs and synced again and they show up the same way - they need to be downloaded from the cloud but when I do, it doesn't work.

Try force-closing the music app on your iPad by double-tapping the home button, swiping up on the preview above the music app, then tap the home button again. Then reset the iPad by holding the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release. When it restarts go to Settings>iTunes & App Store, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in. Then try downloading the songs from iCloud again.

Try this:
System Preferences > Keyboard - Keyboard tab - uncheck "Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys."
