Music just stopped playing altogether- please help!!
Hi all, my itouch is fairly new (about 3 months old) and has worked great thus far. Last night, I downloaded the "Shout Card" application (it offers a bunch of different voices to say a certain message for you that you can send to friends), just to check it out. I sent a "Shout Card" sample to a friend, then listened to the sample in my email (it sent me an email attachment itself). After that, any song I tried playing wouldn't work. The itouch would have the play symbol on, but no sound would come out, either with earphones or without!! I tried out a bunch of different songs, and oddly enough, only one song would work :S - the rest of them stopped altogether. Even stranger, I can't seem to find the one song that was actually playing on my itouch anymore.
I'm going to try restoring it, but is there anything else I could do if that doesn't work? Thanks.
Does anyone have any idea why/how this happened? Could it have been a virus?
Okay - nevermind. I was playing around with it, tried to restore it and it didn't work, then when I was just pressing random things to try and make it work, it started working again. I just pressed the top 5 circles where you can star / rate a song :S and it began working. Weird. Nevermind and thanks anyways.

Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the corrupt tracks from the music section of your iTunes library, close & then reopen iTunes, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unchecked. This seems to help with partial downloads...
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the "Report a problem" links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

Why did my iTunes just stop opening? Please help
My iTunes just randomly stopped opening on my computer at work that is running Windows 7. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both iTunes and Quicktime and it is still not working. Please help...this is my music source at work.
try uninstall it then deleting all its files from program files in d drive and then installing it again

I have the 4s and about a week ago the music will stop mid song, sometimes a reboot fixed it and it will play again, sometimes I can not get it to play again! Tried deleting all my music and readding. Even tried a restore!!!! Help!

Its not been wet or damaged. The buttons aren't responding and the screen looks off, it had battery life before it stopped working but it won't even take a charge? Please help!!!!

why does Spotify stopped playing whenever i do something else on my phone like browse facebook, or read my phone messages, or open a link to read something? some other music apps like Jango lets you do whatever you want, but it keeps playing ur playlist.. i'm not even gonna mention how pitifully miniscule Spotify's music library is compared to this apps...ooops

Audio track just stopped playing in FCE - help please
I'm editing video and audio for 4 interview sequences. Three days ago, they all played back just fine from the timeline. Now, the audio tracks on one of the sequences is dead - the waveform is there, the tracks aren't muted, the tracks aren't locked. It's driving me crazy!

I recently got the iPhone 5s and I transferred all of my music, pictures, etc. over from my iPhone 5. My music was playing fine the day I got it (2 days ago) and now my music skips, stops in the middle of the songs, or just stops playing and exits. It was just working and now it wont. What is wrong? What can I do?
Not sure if this will help but a reset is the first thing to try. To reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

HELLO! I have an Ipod Touch thats 32 gb, and its the really old one without the camera. ( im sorry i dont know which generation it is, but i bought it in 2010. ) Anyways, I've had this Ipod for almost 3 years now, and it still works pretty good. The thing im really worried about is that recently, my Ipod has started to overheat, meaning when i touch it, its almost burning. This happens when I charge it, or when I play games on it while charging the Ipod. When i remove the charger, it stops burning/overheating and goes back to normal. Why does this keep happening? Also, what can I do to stop it? please help!!!
Thankyou!J.K. ROFLing is correct. It is normal for the iPod to get quire warm when charging and during heavy use.. If concerned make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

Music applications stop playing when my phone locks
I was forced to update my phone from the 5.0 software to the 7 iOS software because most of my applications would no longer take updates. Now when I play my music applications every time my phone locks my music apps stop playing. I have researched this and it appears there is no way around it. The only thing that helps (not much) is extending the lock screen time to 5 minutes. Most of my phone use (other than text and talk) is streaming music and now it is a total pain due to this limiting feature. Did they do this to try to force customers to pay for music on I-Tunes? Does Apple have plans to fix this or should I start shopping for a different brand smart phone?
I have also noticed that my battery life is way shorter with the new update. I can't even make it through a full day now. Is there any way to reverse the upgrade and go back to 5.0 or am I stuck with the new software. Frustrating...Pete Nershi wrote:

Not sure why people keep talking about changing to a different brand, - we users don't care if you stay or go away from Apple.
My music plays just fine when I use the built in music app.
If you're using a 3rd party app - then talk to the app developer or look at their support site. -
I have an iPhone 6. For the first two weeks my bluetooth worked fine but then started having issues. Now, although it shows that it is connected to Bluetooth, I can't hear any of the calls. The radio continues to play. Please help!

It sounds like you may be having issues with the connectivity of your iPhone with the Bluetooth in your vehicle. The following Knowledge Base article offers up some great steps for troubleshooting that Bluetooth connectivity with your iOS device:
If you can’t use a Bluetooth accessory or car kit
To resolve the issue, you'll need to first sign in to iCloud and review your devices:
Sign in to iCloud on your iOS devices and Macs with OS X Yosemite (available this fall).
On one of your devices, tap Settings > Bluetooth and look under My Devices. You'll see all devices that are connected to Bluetooth, but make sure that you see your Apple devices that are signed in to iCloud and are using iOS 8 or OS X Yosemite.
Sign out of your iCloud account from any devices that you don't want to use. To sign out of iCloud on an iOS device, tap Settings > iCloud > Sign Out.
Then, remove any inactive devices from iCloud:
Sign in to iCloud.com.
Select Find My iPhone.
Select any devices that aren't active anymore.
Wait for Find My iPhone to stop trying to find the inactive device.
You should see the option to remove this device from your account. Select it to remove the device.
After following the steps above, restart the device with the issue. Then try to use it with your Bluetooth accessory.

Songs just stop playing midway
Hi,
I have a 3rd generation iPad and an iPhone 5S. With both devices my itunes library songs (CD's that were downloaded or purchased from iTunes) will just stop playing midway. I have re-set both devices twice to restore to original factory settings and re-synced with my devices with airplane mode on so that there are no distruptions. Still the songs stop midway. I have played sames songs in itunes with no issues.
iphone = 7.1.2
ipad = 7.1.2
Can anyone help?I Had this problem too. Do the songs play correctly on your computer? If so try this
What i had to do was remove the song from iTunes. Then re add them. Then resync the device. This was not a fun process.
