Music legal help etc - Podcast Newbie

Hi Everyone,
I'm looking into create a podcast which will be relating to my online dance magazine iDance ( http://www.idancemag.co.uk ) and i'm a little unsure what music I can use on the podcast.
Am I allowed to play new music promos as long as they are all mixed together? Or to I have to use unsigned music.
Any help on this would be great.

Had a look at your site and thought it was great.
I have the music copyright problems too, strangely enough I do 'Dance' too but Ballet.
I solved my problem for short promos and sites like yours by doing it myself with Garageband. My first effort was so successful that I made it the title music for my DVD's Series which I now make entirely by myself at home.
You may like to have a look at www.DIYTV.org which shows you how I do it.
In fact I sort of got hooked and bought all sorts of jampacks. I am lucky because years ago I made a children's dance series shown on BBC and I had hours of classical music specially arranged and recorded and I have all the copyrights but few would be lucky enough to be it that position.
But you could knock up background music for your podcast in an evening. No problems.
I sound like an advertisement for Garageband but the tools are so fantastic I feel passionate that everyone should have a go.
Tip the Garageband forum is very helpful. I felt so stupid asking silly questions but I was not patronised at all and the advise was first class.

If they were put there via iTunes sync process, then simply untick the Music box before syncing again.

- Transfer iTunes purchases to the computer by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
- Transfer any other music by using a third-party program like one of those discussed here:
Copy music
- Connect the iPod to the computer and make a backup by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up
- Restore the iPod from that backup. The restore will also update the iOS.
Note that the backup that iTunes makes does not include synced media like apps and music
Are you sure you have a 3G iPod? A 1G iPod can only go to iOS 3.1.3

Go through your syncing prefrences! Make sure what you want to sync is all checked off

Welcome to the world of digital media. Your can't really transfer it. I don't know what the rules are about transferring to your spouse but I do know that in some cases when you die, your heirs cannot inherit your digital media. This is why there is still an advantage to buying the CD since the usage rights belong to whomever holds the physical media.
A possible workaround is to burn the songs to a music CD with yout account (tracks only without song titles) and then having your wife upload it as a regular music CD onto her account. It's been a while since i've done this so I'm not sure if it would work now.
Please note that I'm not advocating copyright and/or TOS violations. I'm only suggesting ways to copy music for your own personal use which has traditonally been permitted. I only did this because I wanted to convert iTunes songs to mp3 files so I could burn them onto a data CD for use in my car. It would make sense that since married couples are a joint entity, this would be personal use.
Also, I'm not a lawyer so don't take this as legal advice.

1) The best way to relocate the iTunes library folder is to move the entire iTunes folder with all subfolders to the new path, then press and hold down shift as start iTunes and keep holding until prompted to choose a library, then browse to the relocated folder and open the file iTunes Library.itl inside it.
If you've done something different then provide some more details about what is where and I should be able to help.
2) Purchases on the device should automatically transfer to a Purchased on <DeviceName> playlist, but it my depend a bit on whether automatic iCloud downloads are enabled. If there is a cloudy link then the transfer might not happen. You can use File > Devices > Transfer Purchases. In iTunes you should also check out iTunes Store > Quick Links > Purchased > Music > Not on this computer.
3) Backup the device, then immediately restore it. In some cases you need to add a restore as new device into that equation. Obbviously not to be attempted until you're sure all your media is in your library. See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device should it be needed.
4) I believe there is complimentary 1 incident 90-day support with hardware purchases, but no free software support for iTunes itself. AppleCare gets you a different level of support.

Take in mind this is my first time to sync with this laptop(HP 15 ENVY) and as well my laptop is just brand new. just got it a week ago. so how do i fix this prob. and also when i open my itunes store and then view my account it says error occurred either debug it through Microsoft visual studio or close program. I tired copying all the .dll files to the itunes folder didn't help

I cannot address the sync services error right now, but the error that you receive when you change from sync to manually manage music is what happens when you change. Once you change to manually manage music, it erases all of the music and will only put the music that you want on the phone, content that you manually drag over to it. From the message you are receiving, it sounds like you either, 1) haven't synced your iPhone with that computer before, 2) are using two different iTunes accounts, or 3) both. If you have purchased music or movies through your iPhone with a certain iTunes account and purchased books through iBooks on your MacBook through a different iTunes account then there is no having both on the phone.
Apple doesn't allow content from two different accounts on a device at the same time. Also if two "libraries" have been created, one on the iPhone and one on the Macbook then syncing will erase data that is not associated with that particular library.
If you are using the same iTunes account for both, then you should be able to redownload any purchased items (music, books, etc.) from iCloud, assuming you have set that up.

Do you have the Sync Apps option ticked from under your iPod's Apps tab in iTunes?
Make sure your the installing of Apps is not enabled in Restrictions. Head to Settings -> General -> Restrictions and make sure either all restrictions are off or that at least Installing Apps is.

Why is iTunes not sinking certain music on a playlist to my 4S, also it is not showing splits in capacity bar (music, photos, apps etc.)?

My iTunes will not sync any new music in my "iPhone Music" playlist to my phone. It has been saying that there was too much capacity but that has corrected itself now.
Also, iTunes is not splitting the uses on the capacity bar for Music, Apps, Photos etc.
I can't seem to add any new music to my phone now.
Can anyone help?

It's telling you there's not enough space *on your 4S*. The 25GB you refer to is probably that on iCloud, that's different memory than that on your iPhone. You need to delete video, pictures, apps, or whatever ON THE IPHONE, to make enough room for downloading updates to your apps.

Help an old newbie get 8x AGP

I've searched these forums and tried all the suggested fixes,but still can't get 8xAGP.
Got KT4 Utlra MS-6590 mainboard with latest bios(1.4) and VIA 4 in 1 drivers.
Just installed MSI FX5600-TD256 but AGP speed is greyed(blued) out in Bios, so i can't select speed.
Also tried "Driver Cleaner" and Installing just NVidea drivers,but no difference.
I don't think mainboard is auto selecting 8xAGP because when i run 3DMark I get a pitiful score (2027) and this in Motherboard info:-

Have you looked in the Music App on your iPhone? On the iPhone music is played by the Music App not iTunes.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
That's simply not possible I'm afraid. You'd need to give them their own account and allowance or make it so you are required to be there to input the password when they wish to make a purchase.
