Music match

iphone 5 (ios 6)
1) had music match DL (1500 Tracks from playlist overnight - 10hrs)
2) get morning maybe 300 track still need DL but suck on a song (should been done by this point)
3) I listen to the track which stuck DL and usually this pushes Music Match finish DL the song (doesn't list 80% complete)
4) I listen to next tracks after stuck track and will DL only given track I listen to (normal from MusicMatch)
5) Log out of iTunes Account which turn off Music Match automatically
6) Log back in iTunes without setting Music Match on and try DL an App but gets stuck in waiting status
So currently I am unable to download any apps or DL an new music from Music Match. I can listen to streamed music not on the phone from MusicMatch. I can reply to email or upload a pic I take to the cloud. But DL an app or DL more music from match. Any ideas?

I mean knowing alittle about "Music Match" because had it for about a year now and I have a 40 gig size library.. When Music Match is DL tracks you don't DL apps (this is a given). So seems in my case music Match failed for whatever reason, so the OS still thinks it needs to DL song but doesn't. So I can't DL apps because OS still has phantom music tracks to download. So that is where (I believe) I am stuck.. Somehow I need to reset this DL process. Any ideas besides a full restore of my phone would be great. Thanks,
Chris
Again music Match is turn off on my iphone 5 and still can't down apps from app store.. the get stuck in "waiting" status.

No, your Yahoo account is not in iCloud (which only handles iCloud mail), it is in Yahoo, and the Yahoo mail account is on your iPad.
But the MacBook Pro will have none of it! I write this question now as I fear that I will be totally demented very soon and unable to formulate my thoughts clearly!
Get the correct settings for your account from Yahoo and set it up manually.
By the way, I also find the "password" issue problematical. It seems Apple want my Apple password rather than my eMail password. All very confusing.
That would depend on what you are trying to do.

  • My smart playlists are not showing up on my iPhone after turning on Music Match

I have turned on Music Match (iOS 5 GM and iTunes 10.5 r 9) and can see all the songs in my library now across the cloud. The iPhone also has copied over most (but strangely not all) of my regular playlists and my folder structure.
But all the Smart Playlists I created for my iPhone are not showing up so my music is not grouped the way I want it to be.
For example, I have a playlist that selects out all the songs with three stars or more that have not been played in the last 2 weeks (so I only hear songs I like, but have not heard lately).
    So what's up??

Isn't iTunes 10.5 r 9 a beta release for developers?  If that's the case then isn't there a special web site for developers to discuss issues (and they are not supposed to discuss them on the public forum)?  If you're not a developer and have this through unofficial channels then I'm not sure you can expect full functionality.

  • I have an ipad and just bought a second one for my daughter and she wants all my music on her ipad.  We both have our own itunes accounts and music match wont let me put music on hers. how do i get around this?

I have an ipad and just bought a second one for my daughter and she wants all my music on her ipad.  All the music is under my itunes account yet she has her own itunes account so she can have her own apps and purchase apps with gift cards (She's only 9)
I subscibe to music match under my account but it wont let me put my music on her ipad under hers or even my itunes account.  I get some sort of 90 day error message.  How do i get around this so I can let her have my music on her ipad?

iTunes Match is not sharable across Apple IDs. The best way to get the music on her iPad is to leave hers signed into her Apple ID on the iTunes Store and sync via USB.

  • HT4914 how do i use apple credit to get itunes music match??

I have apple id credit and I want to get itunes music match. I do not want to have to pay for it when I have the credit on my account already.

Note: You may use store credit to pay for your iTunes Match subscription however a valid payment method must still be on file at the time of sign up.

It's not entirely impossible actually as someone has pointed out to me that I can turn on Call Forwarding and that stops any incoming calls. I've just forwarded it to my google voice number and then turned on "do not disturb" in google voice and whenever I get a call it goes straight to my google voice voicemail and my phone does nothing. The only thing now is I still get text messages but I think the phone calls bugged me more because they would make my music turn off for much longer.
Even though this isn't a perfect solution it's something so far so maybe you shouldn't just come out and say there's NOTHING I can do because so far I've found part of a solution. If you don't have anyting productive to say then just don't reply and close the tab. Thanks.
At this point I'm wondering if anyone knows of any Jailbreak tweaks that can enable what I want. Unless of course it's agaisnt the rules of this forum to mention jailbreak stuff...

This is a known problem with Windows 7 Enterprise using certain Group Policy settings. Solution for me was to use another machine running Windows 7 Ultimate.

    Hello!
Do you have a Mac computer with Time Machine backups?

The same is true for photo's.  I have too many photo's on my phone taking up space.  Now I realize I can remove a lot of the photo's via sync options, but ...

This can happen if iTunes gets confused about what is and isn't on the device. These steps should resolve.
    Backup the device.
    Restore as a new device.
    Restore the backup made earlier.

  • Music Match loaded a tiny portion of my music

I have about 12,000 songs in my iTunes library. I recently purchased Music Match. After the upload of my music to the cloud completed, a message said that 11,000+ songs had uploaded. That message was quite inaccurate as only 600 or so songs are tagged with the iCloud icon in my iTunes library. In many cases only one song out of an entire album is in iCloud. New songs that I add do start to upload and I get a message that the upload completed. No error messages are received. But the songs haven't actually loaded and are not available from iTunes Match.

    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reboot the computer
    - Try another USB port
    - Try another cable
    - Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.

  • How do I store music on my ipad and use music match?

Using an iPad2 with Music Match, how can I store music on my iPad as well?
Using iTunes 11, I no longer seem to have the ability add music to my iPad. If I try to manually drag and drop them onto my iPad an error says " Some of the files were not copied to the iPad because iTunes Match is enabled on this iPad."
I travel for a living and discovered on Thursday whilst on a plane that I no longer have music on my iPad and whilst on an international flight, there was no way of accessing "my iCloud" from within the real clouds!!"
I would like to be able to store music on my iPad for when I am offline, and still access my other music when I am online.
Is this possible and if so how ? All assistance appreciated!

Thank you so much for the response. This half sorts out my issue, as turning off Musicmatch means I can load music onto my iPad, but the minute I turn it back on to access my library whilst travelling I will lose what I have loaded as it comes up saying " all music will be erased".
I really apprecaite your time, so will just have to live with what I load. Seems weird that Apple wouldn't consider people want to listen to music on planes or in Non - wifi zones??
    Thanks again!

  • I had a library of 500 songs, some purchased some imported from cd's i have since lost in a fire. I only have purchaed music in library. Does that mean I have to purchase music match to include any other music?

I had a library of about 500 songs, some purchased and some imported from cd's I have since lost in a fire. Only the purchased ones now appear in my itunes library. Does that mean iI have to subscribe to music match in order to have all of my music in my itunes library? I still have most of the songs on my iphone. I use a pc.

" When I did this, my library showed all the music I have "purchased" from itunes but did not have the music that I downloaded a long time ago through itunes from my old CDs."
    Correct.
" How can I get that music to show up in my library now on my new computer?  "
Copy it from your old computer or your backup copy of your old computer.
The sync is one way - computer to ipod.

  • TS1389 I paid for a year of Music Match but my iphone tells me I am not subscribed. I have the receipt and acknowledgment from Apple. Why is the iphone doing this?

New to iPhone and thought Music Match sounded cool. Apple acknowledges my payment but the iPhone says I;m not subscribed. PRetty sure I'm suing the correct Apple I.D. and password. Any ideas out there?

I have done that and it is definitely on.  My husband has the exact same phone and I upgraded his IOS at the same time, but this problem is not happening to his phone (we are also on the same plan, so our service should be the same).  Our settings appear to be identical and my phone is showing the 3G symbol at the top, so I can't understand why it won't access the network.
I've turned it on and off twice and have reset all settings with my iTunes account, but it still isn't working.
I'm not a complete idiot with this sort of stuff - I have tried all the obvious things.

  • Importing song ratings from Music Match.

    I am new to iTunes.
I am trying to switch from Music Match to iTunes in preparation for buying my 1st iPod (Nano). It seems that my song ratings from MMJB do not transfer into iTunes. Should these ratings transfer and I am just doing something wrong?
If not, any suggestions on how to best accomplish this task? I am thinking grouping songs by rating in MMJB, either in playlists or by moving each rating to a different folder on disk; then importing into iTunes songs of each rating separately. Hopefully in iTunes there is a way to rate a group of songs all together, rather than having to mark each one individually.

The playlist idea is probably the best one. Export your playlists (5 of them, one for each rating), import them, select all the playlist contents in iTunes, right click the selection, set the rating to whatever.

  • Music match not working

Music match is a fiasco. Many times the songs I have do not play they are skipped even thought they are listed. I bought an audipbook of Jim framer and had to buy it twice as music match is not reliable

Had the same exact problem & apple care solved it. Turn itune match off on phone. re sync phone & click on music tab where summary, info, movies, photoe etc is. put a chech mark on every playlist that you want. If you see a play list called voice memos un check it & now click sync. After the sync completes turn enable iyunes match back on phone. now when you click music on the phone you will see a spinning wheel on phone. do not do anything now. it took me 4 hours for the wheel to stop spinning on the phone but once it completed all 256 of my playlists were back on the phone & itunes match is now working like it should. If I now add playlists to my itunes library or just download more music everything is pushed to my phone and ipad automacilly. Don't even have to sync anymore.
