Music not importing!

I just created a new user on my computer because my old one was slowing up. I transferred all my music over to my new user but when I tried to import it(music) into itunes on my new user it was acting strange. It has duplicates of certain albums and some albums won't even import and they did on my old user. I tried to reinstall itunes but it did the same thing and I restarted and shut down my computer but nothing changed! What should I do? Can I do anything? HELP!!!

Later versions of iTunes have become fussy about tags in MP3 files. If the files are in your library, they won’t play and if they are not in your library, iTunes will not add them, but it doesn’t tell you why.

Old account; music not importable?

My iPod content cannot be synced because it was created using an account I no longer have access to. How can I get this music into my current library?

Do you have the audio files? If so, you can authorize them if you have the log-in and password. If you don't have the files, you can download them from the store again, but you need the log-in and password for that too.

Back'ed up Music not Importing Correctly.

So im in quite a little dooozie here.
I have an Iphone and an Ipod i use everyday.
My computer crashed about a week ago and i had to reformat the entire thing. Well i back-up my entire HD regulary. So i didnt loose any data.
BUT .....
Apparetnly i have lost all my ratings on songs, and all my playlists.
Is there a way to get the playlists back ? I have everything backed up on my HD including some funky Itunes library files (.itd or .xls).
When i plug in my ipod or iphone now it wants me to dump everything and start all over.
And random question, is there a way Itunes can stop with the duplicating songs, it seems like i have 2 or 3 of the same song all of a sudden in the library.

The ratings and playcounts are stored in the .itl file. If you backed up the entire iTunes folder, and restore it all intact, the playcounts/ratings will appear just as they were.

Thanks I will try that . . . . the issue became worse when we recently updated to IOS6 - now all three of us get everything . . . . I was trying to avoid separate Apple ID's and emails but that might be the solution based on what I have read on here . . . .

How do I get my music back from a computer which has been recently serviced. I am able to log into my itunes account but lost half of my library which was music I imported originally.

I need help. I recently had my cpu serviced by Geek Squad, They completely renamed the CPU and now all of the music I imported is gone. I dont even have my library anymore. I can usually click on itunes and play music from my library. Its all gone. I have authorized this "new" computer for my account but I still dont have my library. I even went in and deauthorized the computer under the old name. I am very frustrated, as i have some songs which were purchased on itunes on my phone but not all of the music that was imported from CDs. Most of which I got rid of once I imported them into my library. all I want is my entire library back. On my old iphone 3g, which I let my kids use, my entire library is there but on my 4gS, i only have the music which was purchased through itunes. I miss my songs and have no idea where to begin with this process.

Your music will only be where you put it.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup cop of your computer.
Certainly you did not have our computer serviced without making sure your backup copy was up to date.

AVI Files not importing into CS4 from DVD

I have the DVD disk for Premiere Pro CS4 Classroom In A Book and all the avi files have only sound and when imported into Premiere Pro CS4 a missing codec error warning appears and the file will not import.
I have to say this problem only occurs with my 27" iMac and not at all with a MacBook Pro or a 20" iMac. I have tried repeatedly to copy the DVD to the 27" iMac but the problem still persists.
*+Now this is the really weird bit+:*
Using Screen Sharing from another mac, the files are normal. All other avi files are also normal on the 27" iMac.
I wondered if anyone can throw any light on this problem?

You should be able to select Force Quit from the menu beneath the Apple icon in Finder
and choose to Quit iPhoto from there, without messing up the Mac OS X in the process.

Not sure if rebuilding the iPhoto library would help this issue. However if you had to
turn off the computer without the correct method (unplug, etc; instead of menu choice)
the system may have accrued damages and should be checked, maybe repaired by
use of the Disk Utility in the system. Or restart the computer in Safe Boot mode, then
run 'repair disk permissions' while it is running in that reduced mode; then restart after.

Suggestions on how to use Safe Mode in article, to resolve issues, may be helpful.

PDF's not importing correctly

I am using CS5 on iMac 27" quad.
I am trying to import a PDF into Photoshop.
But it is not importing correctly.
The PDF is a label template, which prints perfectly from the PDF.
But when I import it into Photoshop, the dimensions change.
So the text boxes for the labels don't align up correctly to the label sheet.
The top label is OK, but the boxes keep moving to the right, so that top label in column 5 is a 1/4" off to the right. The labels seem to be "traveling."
Vertically, the same thing is happening.
Row #1 is OK
but by the end of the page, Row #5 is 3/8" off the page.
I have disabled all printing options: no auto-center; no fit to page; no scaling.
The printer software should not be adapting the document at all.

Does Windows not have a method of transferring everything from one computer to another?
You can use your backup copy of your computer to copy everything.
For the itunes portion, you can type "move itunes library" into the google search bar.
Windows should have a way to copy all doc/pics/files/contacts/calendars/etc.

Music of imported pps files doesn't sound on Keynote

I got Keynote on my Ipad, and when I import pps files, its music doesn't sound. It's very strange because the same file, I open it in powerpoint in my mac and it works fine, the musics perfect. So what's the problem? Can i do something on my mac to get this pps file to work with music on my iPad keynote?

How could I NOT import them? Appointments I do "by hand" show up immediately on the other devices. The imported appointments show up after modification.

Had to reinstall OS and Itunes..Will not import songs from library folder

I reinstalled my Windows 7 OS and Installed Itunes 10.6 but when I add my ipodmusic folder to the library it does not import the songs into the library. I tries dragging and dropping a few songs but it deletes them from the folder.

In researching the issue you are experiencing I found an article that should help get your iTunes Match content to your iPhone. The name of the article is iTunes: How to add a computer or iOS device to iTunes Match and you can find it here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4913.
This section specifically:
To add an iOS device to iTunes Match
On your iOS device, go to Settings > Music.
Note:
iTunes Match requires iOS 5.0.1 or later; you can find the
latest iOS software here'
Tap the iTunes Match switch to On.To access your music in iCloud, open the Music Player app on your device.
Your music in iCloud will be integrated into your local music library. A download button will appear to the right of any content that you have in iCloud that doesn't already exist on your device.
Important:
When enabling iTunes Match on your iOS device, the music library on your iOS device will be deleted and then replaced with your music in iCloud.
Syncing music with iTunes will be disabled while iTunes Match is enabled on your iOS device.
By default, when adding an iOS device to iTunes Match, downloading over a cellular network is enabled1. To disable downloading over cellular for iTunes Match, choose Settings > Music > Use Cellular Data > Off.

Mpeg -2 not imported

I am new to DVD SP and I read that you have to encode your video into Mpeg-2 to import them into DVD SP. I use wondershare Ripper and encode the DVD into mpeg-2, AC-3, 720x480, 48kHz, NTSC, and set my DVD SP on NTSC as well. But when trying to import is says 'incompatibel format'......I read that H.264 will not work as well. Any suggestions how to encode my DVD?
I would like to have single clips from my DVD not just the whole DVD.....

Both. I bought several music DVD's and I need the clips ripped seperatly to use on a new DVD. It is for a VJ. He needs to be able to skip from clip to clip without going back to a menu.
I found out how that works in DVD SP. But now I need to be able to import the clips first into DVD SP. What is working is ripping the clips first to mpeg-2...(the one that is not importing into DVD SP) and then encode it again into avi with the program MPEG-streamclip. The software I use for ripping is Wondershare DVD Ripper and it can not encode directly inot a proper Avi-file. I tried that but the audio is not AC3 and therefore not working. The Avi-file (double encode) is imported into DVD SP but the quality is terrible.
