Music not showing up on Spotlight.

Hello.
So i downloaded music to my iPhone 5 64Gb running iOS 6 (via another source; NOT iTunes) and when i try to look for it on the spotlight, it will not show up. I tried resetting the phone, restoring it, re-synicning, deleting the songs and re-synicning them, and nothing.
The source in which i downloaded doesnt effect the song search, because i have downloaded other songs from the same source, and OTHER sources, and EVEN iTunes, and it wont show up either.
And another thing, the song that wont show up on spotlight, will also not show up when i manually look for it in the Music SEARCH bar. I have to Literally scroll through all the mucis (1,000+) to find the specific song i want and it gets annoying. In other words, it will sync to my phone, but wont show up when i search for it in spotlight, or in the actual "Music" app.

I found a solution! It was posted on another thread:
Just open itunes on your computer, check to sync something that is unmarked (genre, artist, whatever), sync. Now open music on your iPhone. Bam.
Now just uncheck whatever you checked before. Sync. Bam.
It worked! My songs showed up! Good luck.

recently my hard drive icon has disappeared from my Macbook Pro (10.7.4) desk top and does not show up in spotlight or finder searches! I have tried several fixes posted online for earlier operating systems with no luck.
Also, when I connect my external hard drive the icon does not appear on the desl top nor in the finder either, making looking for documents impossible.

In "finder" click "finder" then "preferences" and navigate to the "general" tab.
Select which items you would like to have show on your desktop.

In researching the issue you are experiencing I found an article that should help get your iTunes Match content to your iPhone. The name of the article is iTunes: How to add a computer or iOS device to iTunes Match and you can find it here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4913.
This section specifically:
To add an iOS device to iTunes Match
On your iOS device, go to Settings > Music.
Note:
iTunes Match requires iOS 5.0.1 or later; you can find the
latest iOS software here'
Tap the iTunes Match switch to On.To access your music in iCloud, open the Music Player app on your device.
Your music in iCloud will be integrated into your local music library. A download button will appear to the right of any content that you have in iCloud that doesn't already exist on your device.
Important:
When enabling iTunes Match on your iOS device, the music library on your iOS device will be deleted and then replaced with your music in iCloud.
Syncing music with iTunes will be disabled while iTunes Match is enabled on your iOS device.
By default, when adding an iOS device to iTunes Match, downloading over a cellular network is enabled1. To disable downloading over cellular for iTunes Match, choose Settings > Music > Use Cellular Data > Off.

I have an I phone 5 I have tried putting music on and it's not showing on my music app but in iTunes it shows the music has been transferred to the phone.
I have also purchased an album with the phone and still won show up say that there is no content can someone help or let me know what I'm doing wrong ?

I suggest a few things for this situation.Steps 1, 3, and 5, from the iPhone Troubleshooting Assistant, found here specifically http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/assistant/phone/#section_1.
If you get to step 3 then I recommend closing ALL the apps. Here is step 1 to get you started.
Restart iPhone
To restart iPhone, first turn iPhone off by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button until a red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider and iPhone will turn off after a few moments.
Next, turn iPhone on by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Is iPhone not responding? To reset iPhone, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If your device does not turn on or displays a red battery icon, try recharging next.

Music not showing up in my Music Library after moving to another drive

My C: drive was full, so I moved the file to my F: drive (have done this before, but somehow it only copied it and reverted to the old location on C).
I found multiple iTunes folders throughout my many drives and got rid of all but the ones on the F: drive. It now shows multiple folders with all my songs on F: drive. However, they do not show up in my Music Library. I've tried the preferences \advanced \general \copy music to library trick and still nothing. Don't think I lost the music since I have all these folders (1 for each artist) and it looks like a lot of bytes.
Please help..
Alternatively, I'd like to know how to get the whole library on my laptop and off of this old computer that ran out of space. The F: drive is detachable.

Do you use iTunes Match? Others have complained that it can take some time (overnight?) for items to appear in their library because of Match activities.
Can you play a file with Quicktime Player? Is it complete?
Delete an item from the library but not the actual file. Add the file again.

Some Music Not Showing Up In Cloud

I have an iMac. I recently purchased an iMatch account. I can't get the music that I've imported from cd's to load in the iCloud, only my iTunes purchased music is showing up in the cloud. Is there a simple step I'm missing? Thanks.

Music Not Showing up in Library

I have the latest edition of iTunes and just discovered something odd.
Sometimes I drag & drop folders of MP3 music that I got from other sources directly into my iTunes Music folder.
I just realized that this music does not show up in my Library in iTunes unless I specifically use the "Add Folder To Library" feature in iTunes.
HUH?
Is there any way to have iTunes atomatically scan the iTunes Music folder for new additions and automatically add them to the library? I can't understand why it wouldn't do this...but it's not.

Music not showing up in library after drag and drop (7.0)

Music will not show up in library after draging and dropping .mp3's into itunes. Also won't show up if I try the File > Add Folder to Library. The processing files box shows up like its going to work, but it just doesn't. I have tried many differnet mp3's, some actually DID import.
Also, double clicking on an mp3 will bring up itunes, but it will not load or play the song.
I currently have 55.5GB of music, and 10,158 songs. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Already purchased music not showing up in purchased tab

I preordered the rhcp album "I'm With You" and I downloaded it to my Macbook Pro the other night when it was available. Today, I tried downloading it from cloud when I wasn't near my computer but it didn't show up in the Purchased section. I got the music to my phone via my Macbook Pro but still the music is not showing up in my cloud. What is the issue here?

The Purchased Music folder isn't a smart playlist.
To find all your Purchased Music, forget about the list in the Shopping Cart and create a Smart Playlist whose sole criteria is:
Kind contains protected AAC
Tick the 'Live updating' box and click OK. That Smart Playlist will then show you all your purchased music, regardless of how you bought it.

Manually synced music not showing up under the artist

When I manually add songs to my iphone 4 from my iTunes library they are not showing up on my phone under when I go to the artist. Oddly, when I search for the song title the song will come up and it plays, and it shows the artist name correctly when it is playing. I updated both iTunes and the phone. I've done a reset. I've deleted the songs in question from the phone and then re-added them, only to have the same problem.
This problem doesn't happen with every song I add, but it always happens to the same songs. When I sync the phone, I can find them in the phone window of iTunes and they're there correctly sorted by artist (and play fine)! These songs are CD imports (not iTunes purchases). I have "manually manage music" on, and iCoud is off.

Are they marked as 'Part of a compilation' when you look at the song info on iTunes? This is quite common in some albums like soundtracks. If yes, then you'll probably find them under 'Various Artists' in the Artist section.
You can uncheck the compilation box if you wish, that should do the trick.

Transferred music not showing up in iTunes library

I moved my music from a PC to Mac and now it's not showing up in iTunes. I used an external hard drive to copy all of the songs over and they are in the iTunes music folder. Is there something else I have to do to get them to show up in my iTunes library?

Itunes music not showing after accepting user agreement?

I recently moved my itunes music to a new hard drive on my computer without any issues and it had been working fine for the last month or so but after starting up my computer today itunes has updated it's user agreement terms. After accepting the user agreement terms itunes started up but is not showing any of my music. I have the latest Itunes version 11.0.5.5 installed which was updated on the 17/8/2013. I also noticed today that Itunes has created a new itunes folder in the old location so I suspect that it is reading this library instead. How do I change the settings in itunes so it will show my music and artwork in the new location?

Exchange contacts not showing up in Spotlight

For some reason the contacts in the Address Book that are from the Exchange server are not showing up in a Spotlight search. Other contacts that are 'On My Mac' work just fine.
I tried trashing the 'Metadata' folder but that didn't fix the problem.
Any ideas?

A temporary fix is to copy all exchange contacts to "on my mac". This doesn't duplicate on the exchange server and does not duplicate entries when emailing.
I am also wondering about push vs fetch. Has anyone else realized that messages, calendar items, and contacts are not being pushed. The programs are all fetching them off the server? Is this a bug? What interval do other people use to fetch their exchange mail?
