Music on Console stuck on Getting Playlist after altering files

Header sums it all.
I changed directory of some of music files which was in the playlist and mocp is stuck at "Getting the Playlist..."
I edited config to not to start in playlist. I also deleted the playlist.m3u which, funnly starts to get created again. I delete it within root account, gets recreated again.
Then, all of a sudden, without extra work, it starts up, playlist recreated, not a problem left.
Does Moc, the greatest piece of code I came across after winamp have its daemon running without mocp that ignores the deleted playlist and keeps it something in mem?
What to do next time this happens?

  • Radio not playing, stuck at getting playlist window

    Hi,
    After months of listening to Cherie FM and Cherie love songs radio stations from Adult Contemporary section in iTunes I suddenly have a problem - when I try to play it, I get message "Getting Playlist" and nothing happens... Surprisingly enough, it works without a problem at my Apple TV, which is on the same network with my Mac.
    Thanx in advance for your help

    Hi natamc,
    I've found a workaround for the problem by getting direct link to the radio stream for Cherie love songs it is http://mp3.live.tv-radio.com/cheriefm_love_song/all/che140854.mp3
    for zen it is http://mp3.live.tv-radio.com/cheriefm_zen/all/che122753.mp3
    To put it into iTunes first copy it into safari, then drag to desktop, and then from desktop drug into playlists in iTunes.
    It worked for me, and I hope it helps you as well

  • Broadcasters: fix for those getting stuck on "Getting Playlist"

    Hello!
    My buddies and I launched recently a Webradio and we wanted to be listed on iTunes Radio Directory. We submitted our infos to [email protected] and we got listed.
    The problem was that nobody could listen to us: while playing the radio there was a "Getting Playlist" ("Récupération de la liste de lecture" in french) hanging and nothing else.
    We fixed this by changing our icecast 2 mount point from /radio.mp3 to /radio and submit back the adress to itunesradio for an update (it better to submit an .m3u link)
    Tadam ! It worked ! I guess itunes were confused by the .mp3, expecting a MP3 header and getting a http one.
    I did not see any solution for this problem so... let's share!
    Greetings from Bora Bora

    At least tidy up that horrible nested method. Try this:
    public synchronized boolean last() {
       try {
          if (!(jdbc instanceof MRxJDBC)) {
             debug("last()", "", "The MRXJDBC as not been instantiated.", "");
             return false;
          if (!(jdbc.getConnection() instanceof java.sql.Connection)) {
             debug("last()", "", "No sql connection", "");
             return false;
          if (jdbc.getConnection().isClosed()) {
             debug("last()", "", "The connection is not open", "");
             return false;
          if (!(resultSet instanceof ResultSet)) {
             debug("last()", "", "No results returned.", "");
             return false;
          if (!resultSet.last()) {
             debug("last()", "", "No records returned.", "");
             return false;
          assign();
          debug("last()", "Record "+resultSet.getRow()+" of "+count+" returned.", "", "");
          return true;
       } catch (Exception ex) {
          debug("last()", "", ex.toString(), "");
          return false;
    }What is "MRXJDBC" and are you sure it doesn't do pooling? Are you absolutely certain that the jdbc connection you pass in is the same as the jdbc field that you access in the above code?

    Due to lack of space on my c drive I decided to move my music folder to my d drive. After I done this I noticed all my music was gone from itunes so I decided to move the music folder back to the c drive to try fix the problem. All my music and playlists etc are still missing from itunes. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem???

    A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

    Hi iTunes-1,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!  The error message you posted indicates a possible firmware update is needed for iTunes for Windows to work with your CD drive.
    iTunes for Windows: Updating the firmware on your CD or DVD drive - Apple Support
    http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201852
    Having outdated firmware can cause issues using CDs and DVDs with iTunes for Windows. Firmware is a type of software stored in a chip in hardware that can sometimes be updated.Identifying drives and firmware versions
    To run CD Diagnostics, follow the steps in this document.
    After following the steps to run CD Diagnostics linked above, look at section three to find out more about your optical drive(s).
    Here is an example of what section three might look like:
    In this example there are two drives. Drive E is a Samsung DVD-ROM drive with a model designation of SD-616 that has firmware version F000. Drive F is an NEC drive with a model designation of NR-7900A that has firmware version 1.08.Updating the firmware
    If the optical drive you are using came with your computer, check with the support site for your computer for a firmware update. Typically you will need to go to the support website for the computer maker and click on a "downloads" or "updates" link, and then enter your computer model designation and operating system version to see what updates are available. Then look through the available updates for a firmware update for your optical drive. Download the updater and run it. If you need assistance applying the update, contact the maker of your computer.
    If the optical drive you are using came as a separate part (was not included with a computer), check the support site for the drive maker for a firmware update. Sometimes the manufacturer is not clear in the CD Diagnostics results. In that case, you may just have to search the Internet for the drive model designation. You can usually find out who made the drive by looking through the results of such a search. Once you have identified who made your drive, go to the support website for that company. Look for a "downloads" or "updates" link, and then enter your optical drive model designation. Download the updater and run it. If you need assistance applying the update, contact the maker of the optical drive.Verifying that the firmware was updated
    Run CD Diagnostics again.
    Examine the CD Diagnostics results. The firmware version for the drive should be the new version.

    Also, you mentioned that you have been successful burning a CD with the Windows OS.  Make sure that you have closed all software programs that can access the CD burner so that there isn't a conflict for the drive.   Sometimes chaning the burn speed from "maximum" to 8x can also help in this situation.
    I hope this information helps ...

  • Get playlist off nano after computer crash

    My operating system crashed had to be replaced. I had backups of the music ona hard drive, but not playlists. Can I get the playlists off the nano and onto itunes? If I have an old set of playists on another computer - would that be useful?

    NO! Don't unclick "manually manage your music". If you do that, it will erase everything on your iPod. It will put you back to "automatic sync". So whatever is in your itunes library will sync your iPod to that. (If there is one song in library, your iPod will erase all music and only sync that one song.)
    This is the hard way and long way of getting your music but effective way. Go to your My Computer and click open your Nano. You will see various folders and one should say something like playlist, music, or something similar. Open that folder. Next you will find folders that say f01, f02, etc. That is where your music is. Open them up and drag and drop them to your itunes library folder or create a folder to put them in (if that would make you feel safer doing this). This will copy your music from your nano to your computer.
    Good luck. If I need any more help, please don't hesitate to ask.
    PS-I have done this before that is why I understand the situation.
