Music on icloud without subscribing to match

How do I get my music on icloud; i downloaded to computer now wish to store them in icloud. My address etc. are all on icloud, so I think it is set up right.

If you have all your songs purchased on the iTunes Store and you have iTunes 11 on the Mac, you can delete the songs from your computer and you can access them from iCloud. If you want to do this with non-purchased songs, you must use iTunes Match

  • Play music on iphone without streaming from match

    Hi,
I purchased iTunes Match, synced it with my desktop and have downloaded some songs to my iphone.  How do I play only the "local" songs.  If I have a playlist that doesn't have some of the local songs - it will stream (and use up some of my data).
Also, how much data does music use?  ie - if I play for one hour - what is the amount of data utilized - is streaming music something I shouldn't worry about?  I know that video is a big data hog.
    Thanks for any advice.

Pulling music to the iPhone over 3G will be expensive, depending on your tariff.  A typical Song file is many MBs of data.
Best route is to use standard playlists - view on iPhone when in local stable WiFi coverage and select option to 'download all' in playlist.
This way when you are remote you will have a good set of Songs ready to go without having to download over the air.

  • Downloading music from iCloud without wi-fi and merging apple id

    Hi, hoping someone can help.
We have 2 apple id accounts in our household.
Is it possible to merge our ID accounts including all music that we've purchased over the years on the various iphone we've had?
I think we've saved the music onto the icloud, although i don't know much about icloud.  When i sign in to icloud i can't see where the music is.
most of my music on my iphone can only be listed to when i listen to it via wi-fi from teh icloud.  Does this mean the songs i've purchased are saved somewhere in the icloud and i can no longer simply save the music back to my macbook?
How can i even see all the music i have in the icloud?
    Thanks
    Rob

No, you cannot merge or split accounts.

Unfortunately there are different components to iCloud and it gets confusing. You can't upload music to an regular iCloud account.  Match is regarded by some as part of iCloud but is a different component and you can upload music to a Match account, if you paid for one. If you bought media from the iTunes Store you can re-download some media from its "Cloud" services.

See above  on how to download purchases.  If you use Match you need to say so when you post so we know you are asking about that.

  • Can we delete songs in iCloud without having to subscribe or enable iTunes Match?

I'm having issues with the hidden songs in iCloud. They always show up in my download queue when I update iTunes or redownload iTunes. Is there a way to delete the songs from iCloud without enabling iTunes Match?
Thanks for the help! Or the ideas.

You cannot delete anything from your purchase history in icloud at all.

  • How can I delete unwanted albums from my iCloud without iTunes Match?!

Hello, can someone please tell me how I can get rid of old unwanted albums in my iCloud without using iTunes Match? I don't have the actual files of these albums anymore, so the only place where they currently exist is in my iCloud. I have tried to access them via my iMac and iPad but unfortunately I can't access those files in the sense of deleting them for good.
    Any suggestions welcomed.
    Thanks

You can't permanently delete them, but you could hide them so that they don't show in the cloud for redownloading : iTunes Store: Hiding and unhiding purchases

  • Recently got a new iPod 4th gen; I had previously backed up to iCloud and subscribed to iTunes Match, and then wound up syncing the new iPod to my MacBook Pro; all iCloud tunes were downloaded to Mac but won't all sync to the iPod - any suggestions?

Recently got a new iPod Touch 4th gen; I had previously backed up to iCloud and subscribed to iTunes Match, and then wound up syncing the new iPod to my MacBook Pro; all iCloud tunes were downloaded to Mac but won't all sync to the iPod after multiple attempts, despite all songs showing properly on the Mac and multiple syncs occurring after all songs were properly reflected on the Mac.  I updated iTunes Match from the iTunes Store menu as well pre-sync.
I should mention that I had previously had the library on a Dell (which is still running) and shared it on my home network.  While all iTunes purchases now show in the Dell, the Mac is the device I use for all syncs.
There appears to be no rhyme or reason to the iCloud physical sync failure - some songs were legacy, some were purchased via the PC, some on the old iPod.
The Mac shows all the songs correctly and none show iCloud status -all have been downloaded, but the downloaded songs that were previously showing up as iCloud based aren't syncing to the iPod.
Is there any way to force all music being seen by my iPod as iCloud to download to so I can listen to them offline?  Is there a way to force the sync from iTunes?

The "system" performed as designed. All devices syncing to one iCloud account are kept in common sync. The idea is that all such devices belong to one user. Different users should have different iCloud accounts.  Once your contacts were edited, all devices were updated as well and subsequent backups (from yours and her device) reflected the changed contacts (and any other data that may have been edited like calendars). Your first task is to change your daughter over to a new account before she makes other changes.
The only way I see for getting back contacts is to restore them from a time machine backup, assuming you also have a Mac included in the account which syncs the contacts. However, I'm not sure whether time machine includes contacts from iCloud along with those that are local, "on my Mac".
Otherwise the deleted contacts are gone.

  • How do i delete a song from iCloud without having to subscribe to it?

How do I delete a song from icloud without having to subscribe to it? I've deleted the song from my iphone and my computer, but it is still in icloud, but I can not delete it. It keeps on wanting me to subscribe to icloud. Which it is not fair or right for me to have to pay to delete something. Would anyone please help me? I am using windows 7 home premium 64bit Operating system. The song is stil showing on my iphone, but i need to delete it from icloud for it to not show on my iphone.

    Hi,
If the song has been purchased from itunes store, you cannot delete the song from the cloud but you can hide it. - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919.
You do not need to subscribe itunes match which is a different product from itunes in the Cloud.

  • I'm having trouble streaming music from iCloud using iTunes Match service.

I'm having trouble recently after five months of subscribing to iTunes Match. I listen to music on my Apple TV and until recently everything was working fine. Now, whenever I try to play music from iCloud on Apple TV via iTunes Match, Apple TV says, "iTunes cannot connect to the newtork now. Try again later." This happens while all other services are working fine.
My iTunes Match account is active and valid. It works on my iPhone and Mac, but not the Apple TV.
Is this happening to many others as well. Any solutions? Thanks!!

  • How do I get my purchased music back after turning off iTunes Match without having to go back through iTunes and individually download each album?

I absolutely hate iTunes Match. It is difficult to work with when it comes to music not purchased through iTunes. So I want to turn it off. How do I do and still have my purchased music through iTunes without having to go through each album/song that I've ever purchased and redownload? That would take FOREVER.

If iTunes Match is turned off, go to preferences > store>Tick box show iCloud purchases. Once done all purchased music will appear. Go to song list view, select all tracks, ctrl+click and select download from pop up.
Alternatively, go into iTunes Store > Quicklinks purchased and select not on this computer. Select download all.

  • I changed companies and had icloud with my old company - now i want to just use my personal id and can't change any icloud info to match my personal ipad id - i can't delete the icloud without the old company id and password which is not available to me

i changed companies and had icloud with my old company - now i want to just use my personal id and can't change any icloud info to match my personal ipad id - i can't delete the icloud without the old company id and password which is not available to me - it probably doesn't even exist anymore!
Because I can't delete the icloud account, I keep getting view terms to accept and it wants to go to the old company account.  I can't do anything to get rid of this - when I try to delete the icloud it wants me to delete find my ipad and asks for the old co. id and password - it's a vicious circle and i just want to get rid of it and start fresh with my regular personal email id and password!!!  Help!

You will need that old Apple ID and password, which does indeed still exist. Apple doesn't delete Apple IDs, though if this ID was in the control of your company they may have changed the password. If so, you will need your former company to log into the iCloud account using that ID and password and erase the iPad or remove it from iCloud:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4515?viewlocale=en_US
Until that's done you cannot change those settings, and if you try to restore the iPad will have it locked with Activation Lock and thereafter be unusable.
    Regars.

    Hello Friends,
Can anyone please tell me if it is possible to store and play to my iPhone 4s, "my - own" music online in the iCloud, (without) having to pay a fee which seems to be the way Apple has iCloud set up via iTunes?
