Music on iphone 4 that is not mine

After updating my iphone 4 to ios 5 things were working properly, but once the updates came out I am getting music that is not mine on my phone. The music is not showing up in itunes and I can't delete. How do I get rid of the unwanted music?
The second issue that I'm having is that half of my cd cover artwork is no longer showing up. Instead I get a generic black with white writing cover that says "This is an album by the Black Keys. The name of the album is Brothers." I assume that my account is getting crossed with someone elses in the cloud.

Tap Settings > iTunes & App Store
Tap the Apple ID then tap Sign Out then sign in with your Apple ID.
Perhaps you have more than one user account on your laptop and iTunes content was synced using another Apple ID from that account.

  • How can I export music to an Iphone that is not mine?

    Hello,
Well the problem is that I don't have an Iphone but a friend of mine wants to get music from my Itunes library but I don't know how to do that
Apears a screen to sync the Iphone with iTunes, but I don't want. It's not mine... also how to convert to the format ??
Thank you ! If theres a  link or video tutorial that'd be fine

Yeah, once it is in your iTunes library you can only upload it to an iDevice that is registered to the same Apple ID.  Or you can share it to other iTunes in your house using Home Sharing.

  • Music on iphone that is not in itunes and can not be removed.

with IOS 7 there are some songs on my iphone(5) that i have purchased in the past. These songs are no longer in my itunes library nor are they in the playlists i sync with ( i deleted most of them). i tried removing them manually, directly from my iphone (press and hold, swipe left) but that won't work. i also turned off 'show all music' in settings. These songs also don't show up in itunes, 'on this iphone', but it does show that there are 23 songs on my iphone, just not what songs. i removed all of my music hoping this would fix it but it didn't does anyone else have this problem or knows what i can do?

oh thank you! it's solved now

  • How do i find music on iphone that is not from the cloud

The list of songs on my iphone is endless, but most of that music is still in the cloud.   Is there a way to get the phone to display only the music that is actually physically downloaded onto my phone already?  TIA

It sounds like she may be using a different account then the one that was used to purchase 10.8
If you cannot locate the purchase, contact the iTunes Store so they can help you figure out which account it's attached to.

You do see the devices heading on the left sidebar? If you don't see the sidebar, go to View>Show sidebar in the iTunes menu and then check to see if the device appears.
If that isn't the problem, go through the troubleshooting steps. It could be the Apple Mobile Device Service issue.

  • How can I remove music from my iPhone that's not on a playlist, or checked off in the Sync window in any of the possible categories (Playlist, genre, artist, etc)? HELP! It's taking up SO much space on my phone

If it's slow on startup it would be extensions loading or LaunchDaemons starting up.
You should have a look in:
    /Library/LaunchDaemons
    /Library/Extensions
You can count out anything in your home folder and it shouldn't put anything in /System as that's reserved for Apple.

  • I have music on my iPhone that is not on my Mac iTunes.  How do I transfer from the iPhone to the Mac?

I had an incomplete backup of my music on an external hard drive.  I had to have my hard drive replaced.  I now have music on my iPhone that is not on my MacBook Pro.  It is music that was not purchased from the iTunes store, but it was uploaded from a CD (which I no longer have).  How can I transfer music from my iPhone to my MacBook?

Turingtest2's user tip will help you with this.
Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

  • I have music on my iPhone that is not on my iTunes (mac)

I have music on my iPhone that is not on my iTunes (mac). I have unchecked all music and synced so iTunes doesn't see the music but when I go to my phone music is still there. The phone is running out of memory when I try to update apps due to this.
There appears to be about 3GB of music on my iPhone I cant remove

Purchased content from iTunes? If so, your phone connected, iTunes running: File>Transfer Purchases. Or, you can delete the music directly on your phone: swipe left-to-right across the song/album, hit "Delete".

If it there is a backup you will find in in ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup.  (Just open Finder>Go>Go To Folder..., past this in the path box and click Go.)

  • My iPhone asks me to sign into apple id's that are not mine- how do I stop this?

My iPhone asks me often to put in a password for apple id's that are not mine. Some of the ones that pop up are for people that I don't even know. Why does this happen and how do I stop it? Thanks!

    Hi Friend,
You must have all apps downloaded by your Apple ID, otherwise you will still facing this problem. Delete the apps you did not download by yourself and download them again. I will fix your problem.
By the way, your device is configurate with your Apple ID? Check it in: Settings>>iTunes Store and App Store
    Hope it will be helpful

Someone made a purchase from my Apple ID to a device that was not mine – I received an email stating that this occurred, yet the only solution that Apple gave me was to change my password. When I look at my account, I can see the $20.00 purchase of music volumes that I did not purchase myself and was not uploaded to any of my devices; however, I cannot find a solution to getting my money back or to file a complaint against the unknown person that did this. Additionally, how do we prevent something like this from happening again, especially when I have an iPhone? What can I do in this situation?

Thank you for the suggestion. I did change the password; however, I generally will purchase gift cards to link to the account so that if something like this ever happened it would not be taken out of a credit card or bank account.

    Hey Raffiecat,
Thanks for the question. If your iPod is setup to manually manage content, you can add content from multiple libraries:
Managing content manually on iPhone, iPad, and iPod
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1535
When manually managing content, you can add content from multiple libraries to your iPod or iPad. Even when manually managing music, some content may be available from only one library at time. This includes all content on iPhone and video content on iPod and iPad.
You can also learn which content you can import to your new computer from your iPod:
iTunes: Transferring media from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or iPod
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1209
Or, if you still have access to the previous computer, you can transfer your iTunes Library:

    Thanks,

  • How do i move music from iphone to pc - not all downloaded from itunes store?

how do i move music from iphone to pc - not all downloaded from itunes store?

iTunes includes an option to transfer content that was purchased from the iTunes Store from an iPod or iPhone, but this is for content that was purchased from the iTunes Store only.
With your iPhone connected and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPhone.
This is one of the reasons why maintaining a backup of all your important data (including your iTunes library) stored on an external drive used for backup purposes only, or on other media such as CD or DVD is so important.

How do I delete songs from my iphone that are not on my itunes account?

You mean music that was not purchased from the iTunes Store?
If so, that means the music was transferred from your iTunes library on computer via the iTunes sync process - unless you are an iTunes Match subscriber.
Music transferred from your computer can be removed the same way - via the iTunes sync process or you should be able to delete individual songs direct from the iPhone.
