Music on Iphone wont open
i have an iphone 4s that has recently been updated
however the music app wont open properly it comes up and the screen just freezes and does nothing
no music will play through any other apps either (really annoying as it has stopped my alarm from working.
i have tried rebooting the phone but it hasnt worked.
all other apps keeps freezing and throwing me back to the homepage is this linked?
Back up and restore your software via iTunes. If the problem continues, restore as a NEW device. If this solves it, that means there is some corruption in your backup file, or maybe it's one of your apps causing the trouble. If the problem is still there, you should take it to the Genius Bar at an Apple Store for evaluation.

I connect my iphone to my laptop and my iphone wont open to my itunes HELP!
i connect my iphone to my laptop, and my iphone wont open to my itunes!
help !!!Seems like ios6 isn't any good for any of their devices. I have an iPhone 4 and recently updated to ios6 and have had all the wifi problems and apps getting hung up on load screens. Restore is your best bet and downgrade if you can back to ios 5.1. If restore doesn't help with a fresh install of ios6 then call every Apple support number you can find and be heard like the 1,000s of other people like us with ios6 problems demanding support. There doesn't seem to be any quick fixes for ios6 other than an update from Apple.

My iphone wont open because my new lockscreen is an adroid type of thing where you drag to unlock! Can you guys PLEASE help!!!
Nope. We can't help because in order for you to have that on the lock screen, your phone either has to be jailbroken, or fake.

Saved music on iphone wont transfer
i saved some old music on my iphone and now it wont transfer libraries! please help
The iphone is not a storage device.
The music sync is one way only. The exception is itunes purchases. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases
All of your music should be on your computer and in your regular backup copy of your computer. -
I used my iPhone 5 for Skype but then it heated up and now it's not opening. what should i do?
Try resetting:
Hold both the home and power buttons at the same time until the Apple boot logo appears. No data will be lost. -
Iphone wont open xls email attachment
I need to be able to open .xls email attachments on my iphone 3GS from a major customer which i receive regularly but get the following error:
*This document can't be viewed. An error occured while reading the document.*
I can open the same .xls file on my macbook pro using excel:mac2008 although i get a message first 'file error data may have been lost' which i just need to click ok and the file opens normally.
I have tried downloading 'Quickoffice' to the iphone but makes no difference.
My previous phone with windows mobile opened the same .xls attachement with no problem.
I need to solve this, please can anyone help?I ran into a similar problem. I have a vendor that embedds HTML data in an xls file and just hits save. Problem is that the iPhone viewer tries to open it as xls instead of html (and says invalid file format).
I opened the file in Excel 2003 (windows version gasp), then clicked on File > Save As and low and behold it's default was .html (indicating that is how it was saved orginally). I changed it to a normal Excel Workbook (.xls) saved, and re-emailed it and it worked fine. Also it works if I just change the file extension to .html.
So for whatever reason the iPhone viewer cannot handle an html page saved with an xls extension.
Since your sender will not change his ways, you could write some code to intercept the email, change the file extension, and resend it. -
HT201401 iphone wont open in itunes
Just installed snow leopard and now itunes wont recognize my iphone 4.
You'll probably need to remove and reinstall the Apple Mobile Device Service, as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1747. Note: you'll have to be running OS X 10.6.8 (or later) to install the current version of iTunes at step 12. If you aren't, and can't update to 10.6.8, go here to download iTunes 10..6.3 instead: http://support.apple.com/downloads/#itunes.

Have tried to connect and sync my iphone 4 to my computer in itunes but this message keeps coming up The itunes Library .itl file is locked on a locked disk. or you do not have write permission for this file.
I have tried both suggestions, unfortunately neither fixed this for me. Hoping there's another possible fix. Thanks in advance.
Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash and/or Repair security permissions for iTunes for Windows. -

Hey everyone,
This morning i took my phone out of the charger and everything was normal however, once i got in the car i looked at my phone and realized it was turned off. I tried turning it on again as well but all it does is going to the start up screen (The white screen with the apple logo) and then it turns off again as well. I also put it on the charger but it does the same thing but repeatedly. So it just goes to the white screen and off again. At last i resorted to recovering my phone even if it meant losing all my data. Slow internet connection meant it took all night but in the morning i recovered and everything and got to the last step ( It told me its finished but i should leave my phone connected to itunes and it will pop up there) but all that popped up was an error screen. It still broken but now sometimes when i try to turn it on the same white screen with the logo comes on with a bar under it. this bar fills up a little then the screen goes black again. Is there any other way i can try to fix this?
P.S. There are no apple stores in my area so i took it to one of the phone stores here and even they said they couldnt do anything about itTry:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. -
Music app wont open!!!
i have an iPhone 3G iOS 4.2, i recently did a restore on my phone because it was running a little slow and plus theres a weird gray line running across the bottom of my screen and it only goes away when i turn the screen off...but now since i updated from iOS 4.1 to iOS 4.2 the music app wont open it jus stays white trying to open then it just crashes...any ideas?
Hi Kat713,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If the Music app on your iPhone quits unexpectedly when you launch it, first restart the phone. If the behavior persists, reset the phone next:
Restarting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
You can find the article with these steps here:
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
If the issue persists after resetting the phone, I recommend backing up and restoring your iPhone:

My iphone 4s wont sync when I connect it to the pc( not apple). It is connected as it comes up on itunes but when I try to sync it with apps/ music etc it wont. I am doing something wrong or is it a mistake with the phone. I am still able to download apps and music from itunes on my phone though.
I already restored it but that didn't help.
TIA for any replies.iPod touches or any iDevices from Apple sync only to one computer. If you sync to a different computer, all your music will be replace with the music from the new computer's iTunes. If the music were purchased from iTunes, you can re-download them again otherwise the music on iPod touch will be deleted. Do you have iTunes backup?

Itunes wont open need help backing up music on external hard drive
My itunes wont open after upgraded to 8 , ive uninstalled and reinstalled itunes and quicktime and still wont work. i found a topic to possibly help me but i dont know how to tranfer my music to an external disk drive without being able to open itunes. i am getting so frustrated. please help
A usb hard drive that Windows sees doesn't need software for a simple back up.
Format the hard drive Disk Management, if it doesn't come already formatted, and then drag and drop the iTunes folder and whatever other data you want to back up to it.
What you're describing doesn't sound like something iTunes did. If you're having general install troubles you have another problem with your system and it's time for a little troubleshooting to find out what's really going on.
