Music on iPod disappeared from iTunes library. It stays on iPod even when I sync. Can I get it back in iTunes?
Thank you to anyone who can help me with this. When I got my iPod touch a few months ago, I first imported music from CDs into iTunes. I then created playlists and hooked up my iPod and synched it. My music library and playlists no longer appear in iTunes. When I sync my iPod, the songs and playlists still remain on my iPod. Is there any way to get the songs and playlists to show in iTunes again?
Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.

Just to be clear, it's not below the tab bar either? (That's the new style in Firefox 4 and 5.)
To hide or show toolbars, you can use the old View menu.
If you have the orange Firefox button, tap the Alt key to temporarily display the classic menu bar.
View menu > Toolbars > ''check'' Navigation Toolbar
If you are viewing the navigation toolbar but it's incomplete or corrupted, you can reset your toolbars.
View menu > Toolbars > Customize
In the large dialog with the icons, toward the bottom, click Restore Default Set.

By mistake I disconnected my iPod (5th generation) when it said Do not disconnect. Now it doesn't appear in iTunes, but it does appear on my desktop. How can I get to reappear in iTunes? I have tried resetting and rebooting. And my iTunes is up to date on my macbook pro, mountain lion, OS X 10.8.
Thank you!The iPod's filesystem may be corrupted. This may seem like overkill, but it has been known to help many others in the same boat. Try doing a low level reformat of the iPod's hard disk using the instructions in this article.

This was the scenario:
The first time I updated, it was only my music that was lost.
When I got my music back, I lost my apps.
When I got my apps back, my contacts, notes and photos were lost.
Now I got back everything except for my photos.
(Yes, I restored from backup several times since the first update.)
Do you think if I try restoring from back up, my photos that were taken from my ipod will be restored finally?

Copy your ENTIRE iTunes FOLDER to an External Drive... and then from the External Drive to your New Computer..

The voicemail system used for the iPhone is different from the voicemail system used on the rest of the Verizon Wireless network. When you activate the iPhone, you lose your saved voicemails from the other system. When you activate a non-iphone, you lose any saved voicemails from the iPhone voicemail system too.

I recently replaced the hard drive on my Windows 7 computer and in the process lost all my music. I think it should be on the iCoud. Can I get it back from the iCloud to my computer? Or can I "reverse-synch" FROM my iPhone TO iTunes?
All the music you purchased from iTunes can be re-downloaded, all the music you acquired without purchasing from iTunes can be accessed using Senuti (not free). The combination of these 2 will get your music back.

I purchased some alert tones on my iphone 4s via itunes yesterday. They all worked just fine until the phone ran out of battery and I plugged it in and restarted. They have vanished from the phone and when I connect to my PC they only show up as 'on my device' under tones and with a grey dotted circle by them. How do I get them back? This is crazy! I purchased one a second time, it worked, I switched my phone off and on again and it has gone again!!!
Having the same issue on multiple alert tones on my Iphone5c. After purchase they disappear from the phone and show up on my itune under Tones grayed out with a dotted circle next to them.

Well I usually download my music to my computer and then move it over to the harddrives and then I erase the music from my computer's harddrive, but only the music! Well on accident I erased the whole itunes folder from my computer. I still have all the music on the external harddrives but the library registry on the computer has been emptied! Plus my computer will not recognise my iPod anymore. So I need to sync my iPod with my computer and I need to fill up the registry or what ever it is called in my iTunes library on my computer so that I can change around my app and music selection on my iPod. I have imported a new CD into my iTunes library on my PC. When I sync my iPhone with iTunes (on my pc), I don't get the new songs (or new CD). I have them on my PC but not on my iPhone. This just started to act this way. It was working in January 2013.

Are you saying that iTunes removed my libsyn podcast off the store and not me. And is still available to play, and update episodes. But removed it off the store because podomatic exist?
I've know way of knowing what went on before; but the situation at present is that only the one version is in the Store and it's using the Podomatic feed.
If you try to submit the Libsyn feed that was removed, one way or another, then you will be told it's already been submitted unless you can make sufficient changes to it to make it look like a different podcast. The title is slightly different from the Podomatic feed, and if it's still being rejected then you will have to try to replace the Podomatic feed with the Libsyn feed. This probably means emailing Support as I doubt you can add the redirection tag to the Podomatic feed (though you could try first.)
They might respond to an email request (they've been known to do so in the past) or they might not. I don't know whether Robert would be able to put in a request - he would swing more weight with them - but very likely they will only do it (if at all) for the actual owner, for security reasons. -
I'm relieved the playlists (there are 11 in the folder) are still on my phone, but I can find them nowhere in itunes. Other playlists are still there- just that one folder has disappeared. I synched my new ipad to the library, and when I did, the playlist was not one of the options in itunes.
Background: I have enabled sharing on our home network, and I haven't moved the locations of itunes files or changed anything with my computer, the settings, or my itunes login (apple id).
My goal is to restore the playlists from my iphone to the itunes library on my laptop so I can then synch the playlists to my ipad.
Thank you for your help!Music is not included in the backup (and nor are films or tv shows), only the contents of third-party apps are included. Did you not do File > Transfer Purchases when connected to your computer's iTunes to copy your iTunes purchases over, and/or have you not got a backup copy of your music somewhere e.g. on an external drive ?

so after the annoying reintallment of everything on my computer, there were a bunch of music and app that i have not backed up on an external HD. now that itunes hasx been re-installed, i want those items back, but don't want to sync my iphone for fear of losing everything on the phone (apps, music, etc.) that were purchased. Any suggestions?
Log into your iTunes account on the new comptuer and when you hook up your iPhone there will be a option to reverese sync your iTunes purchased content ONLY, back into iTunes.

We have now upgraded our groupwise netware 6.5 sp8 servers to 8.0.3 hp1. However, after upgrading the servers we are receiving multiple abends:- "Running process owned by gwpoa.nlm and executing code in gwenn5.nlm" on several of the upgraded servers.
