Music player restarts my song whenever I unlock my iPhone

Today, I began experiencing an issue in which, when a specific song is playing, the song restarts and begins playing from 0:14 every time I unlock my iPhone 4S (running 7.0.2). I have been able to play this song, and others, on my phone before with no difficulty. The constant rewinding interrupts my music anytime I need to use my phone for anything else at all. This problem does not occur with any other song.

Just in case anyone else is having the same trouble - I found the answer in another thread. Just had to reboot the iPhone.

I had the same problem and did a reboot, for me that solved the problem.
How to reboot your iPhone:
1. Hold down the Home button (that’s the big button in the lower front) and the Sleep / Wake button (that’s the little button on the top right) down.
2. Keep holding until you see the screen go black and then the Apple logo appear.
3. Voila! Your iPhone has been rebooted. Resume your blissful life and forget that anything bad happened with your iPhone.

How can I show album art in the mini player when playing songs from a plugged in iPhone?
When I play from my phone and switch to the mini player it's always showing the music notes in the thumbnaill. It'd be nice if it could get album art off of the phone.
I'm on iTunes version 11.0.4.4

it is very nice that you post a solution to complete the library with artwork for album's that do not have an artwork. Your solution perfectly addresses the problem for assigning artwork, BUT this thread is about CHANGING artwork for albums already uploaded into iTunes Match. Just try to replace for example a blue artwork cover for an album with a red one. If you made it in a simple way (without deleting the album from iTunes Match and local changes on the files with an external ID3-Application or 2 or more iTunes libraries on different Mac's) this is the right place to give a solution. I really tried for hours to change the artwork to make them visible in landscape cover flow mode on my iPhone5. In rare cases I made it, but then the covers sometimes where restored to the old onces - exacly how it is mentioned by Starhawk
As long as there is no simple way to change the cover of an iTunes Match stored album (you can change title, artist and so on without hitting "update iTunes Match" over all distributed Library on different devices - this date will be synchronized almost instantly) I considered the behaviour from iTunes as BUGGY! For me the local artwork cache (and if there is any iCloud artwork cache - I don't know) do not interfere with iCloud. Even when I delete the whole local cache (album artwork music - everything) I do not manage to change the artwork.

Music player cuts off songs prematurely

I have an iPhone 4S running 7.0.3. Ever since upgrading from 6.x to 7.x, the music player will cut off songs prematurely (approx 45-60 seconds too soon). I've reset the phone, re-sync'd the music, etc. It happens on 1/4-1/3 of my music, and I'm at a loss as to what to do.
Any suggestions?

I could be wrong but isn't there a stop at property on the songs? I'm not in front of my itunes right now to check. I seem to remember that but apple could have taken that property away.
As far as os7, the ipod app is extremely buggy! It crashes on me at least 4 times a day. Sometimes songs just stop for no reason. It also gets out of sync, when I unlock my phone there are times its 5 minutes behind where the song actually is.

I have the problem of when i move my music albums to the N8 music player it always show the songs even when i choose albums view??? How can i make it just show the album so i can just play that when i need to?? Like my N86 could!!

i have noticed that recently when listening to music through headphones, when i go to unlock my iphone to read a text or something, that the song skips back to a couple of seconds from where it was. Is anyone else having this problem and can you help??

E51 Music Player

Hi,
How do I specify a specific directory for the music player to find songs from? I don't want it finding my 10 second mp3 ringtones! They appear in the Track List even if I move them to the "Tones" folder.. Is there any way around it? My earlier 6233 had an option of specifying the directory.

After a long time, I managed to solve a problem like this in my e51. I believe that the e51 does not filter or ignore certain corrupted files or songs with unknown characters while scanning, so the music player just stops scanning on these occasions. The solution is to find these corrupted songs or with unrecognized characters and delete them, or even the entire album. But as I find them?
Connect your e51 via mass storage, open the folder x:\Private\100012A5 and copy the file with the extension. "Mpd" or DBS_101FE031_mcv5.mpd to your pc and open it with Notepad. At the end of the text along with other characters, you'll see which album or song that the music player stopped scanning. Now delete this folder or album with the music that is causing this outage.
Then you must delete the entire contents of the folder E:\Private\100012A5, where is located the information of the music library, so the music player will completely restart the scanning of sounds.

This is driving me crazy. The player resets mid song, whenever it's connected or disconnected to any device (i.e. car, desktop, dock) and proceeds to begin playing my entire music library in alphabetical order. That 1st song is getting pretty annoying. Does anyone else have this issue? Is there any fix? I haven't found any settings or preferences for this so I'm a bit stumped and very frustrated.

Yes, I'm having that same problem. I had the same problem in iOS 6, but could get around it by starting the song I wanted before connecting the phone - annoying to have to do, but at least it worked. In iOS 7, it appeared to be fixed, but since updating to 7.02 that no longer works. In fact, not only does it play the first song (yes, it's getting VERY annoying), but when I then choose the song I want, the first song it STILL displayed on my car radio.
To make it worse, the Music app insists on keeping Repeat All turned ON. If I disable it, the next time I connect there's that first song and Repeat All turned on again.
So frustrated that I just don't listen to music on my phone anymore in the car. I should also mention that displaying the wrong song info has never happened before 7.02, but whether or not that was the cause I don't know.

I have recently purchased N79. I have problem with my music player. Forwarding song or going to the next track freezes the phone. This problem was there from the first iteself. So thought upgdrading the firmware would solve this problem, but it had become worst started freezing and had to remove the battery. So formatted my phone to fix the problem. Now everything is normal except the music player problem which is irritating. This problem mostly occurs when I use FM transmitter for listening songs. And also the real player dosn't play video show blank sreeen sometimes.
Does the preloaded files are creating problem or the memory card is faulty needs to formatted. Its 4 GB card enough free space available.
Can you tell me after formatting the phone I lost licence for preloaded audio and video files in my memory card. Also few applications as i didn't backup. Is there any way atleast to get licence back or do I have to delete locked items.

Yes, I'm currently experiencing the same problem as yours with the real player. The video shows blank when playing videos, you can only hear the audio.

Not Enough Memory in Music Player

I am using Nokia XpressMusic 5610. Some times a go I changed the theme of music player, and since than whenever I run the music or any .3gp file it give "Not Enough Memory" error and exit the application.
Can you please help me out for this problem.

To format your phone memory use the hard reset code *#7370# (security code 12345).
This operation will erase all the data on your device, you should use Nokia Ovi Suite to backup your personal information first.

Iphone music player crash

Hi!
After upgrading to iOS7 I have to say that the UI for the music player is much improved, however the I notice two things.
1. The Hi-Speed Scubbing is slower at respoding, especially near the end of a track it will stutter.
2. The music player will crash near the end of the track its playing or when switching to a new track.
The music player is the MOST USED feature on my iphone.
Hope this info helps you guys towards a patch.

I had this exact same issue an it was resolve by deleting all podcasts. I had all songs considered and apm marketplace. As a side effect this also caused the memory usage section of the general settings menu to crash.

Ok, so i enter the standard music player switch to songs ( i like to see all songs while listening like a winamp playlist) but there is a # and underneath him there are like 100 songs called "Unknown artist" so i have to move down down down (takes like 10 sec) and then the songs start to be arranged by the alphabet. How can i remove or hide the # thing cause is very frustarting?

Nokia 101 music player play only first 20 songs

I am experiencing exactly the same problem. I recently purchased Nokia 3555 and HS-49 headset to listen to music in stereo. However, I only get mono sound from the right. I called customer care services before I purchased HS-49 and they said it's compatible with Nokia 3555. Yes, I can listen to music, but it's not in stereo. I turned on "stereo widening effect," but it doesn't change anything.
Accoring to the catalog on the web, the phone has stereo bluetooth capability...So, I think it should also produce stereo sound through a wired stereo headset especially with HS-49 which is listed as a compatible headset.
I really appreciate if anybody can teach me how to listen to music in stereo on my Nokia 3555.
