Music Playlist display language STUCK on Chinese

I support Middle School students in an iPad 1-to-1. My student presents with 3 of her playlists (two user created, one system created) displaying playlist title in Chinese. Student reports that system language was formerly changed to Chinese as a prank, then changed back. Issue persists. We have already Reset All Settings AND Reset Network Settings. Student updated to iOS 7 AFTER issue presented, did not resolve.
Location Services are ON. Language is English, Region Format is United States. Date & Time: Set Auto, Time Zone New York.
Has anyone seen this? What to try next?

ITMS decides what language to use based on your preferences.
In the International preference pane, move English to the top and then run iTunes. Switch countries at the bottom of the home page, then switch back to Switzerland. The iTMS should now be in English.

Canon 6D display language resets to chinese after auto off and indicates card full

Just assembled my new 6D with 24-105 mm and display comes in urecognizable language, after changing into english it reminds me that unused new memory card is full, so I reformat and seems ok... BUT when starting after auto off again the same unrecognizable language and full card !
I have taken battery out and put in again, reset to default, changed card, and keeps doing the same.

It could be the GPS in your camera IF you have been secretly kidnapped in your sleep, and placed somewhere in China, inside a cleverly detailed re-creation of your normal surroundings. The persons responsible thought of everything BUT the GPS in your camera sensing your true location and resetting the default menu language to Mandarin.
Investigate this, but very, very carefully.

ITunes Music Store Display Language

Hi all.
This query is on behalf of my Brother who lives in Switzerland.
He wants to set up an account with ITMS. Due to the way it works he has to set up an account with the Swiss Store, because his credit card and billing address are both Swiss. However he wants the Store's interface to be in English not Swiss or German or whatever it is.
Can this be done?

I have installed Chinese Demo Company, but the language rendering is not right on my PC. It shows bunch of boxes. My PC is running windows XP and installed for North America Settings. What do I need to do to make SAP Business ONE Chinese Demo Company display in Mandarin/Simple Chinese?

You need to have a different Apple ID for each of the other devices.

Is there a way to make a "music" playlist that contains videos? for iCruze

Hello,
I just purchase a 5th generation iPOD video to replace an old 15GB iPOD in my wife's car. The old iPOD has worked wonderfully in my wife's car, playing audio (MP3s) with an iCruze interface to the factory stereo.
In case you haven't heard of iCruze, essentially it has a little box that interfaces to the factory stereo just like a CD changer. I can load up to 10 playlists in my iPOD (labeled 1 - 10), and then I can select them, FF, REW, etc using the factory stereo. There is also a seperate LCD module that plugs into the iCruze that shows the artist and song name from the iPOD.
Although the iCruze is a little quirky, it does a pretty good job by allowing us to select songs I want to use via the factory stereo.
So, I got a great idea. I figured I would create a new playlist with videos, and plug the video cable into the DVD player, and be able to watch DVDs from the iPOD. No more scratched DVDs, no more losing disks, etc.
Anyway, it appears the video playlists don't work with the iCruze. I created 1 playlist with just videos, but the iCruze can't see it. It can see the other 8 that just have music and play them just fine. If I manually select the movie on the iPOD, the video displays on the DVD screen, too, so I am almost there, I think...
So, does anyone know of a way to "trick" my iPOD into making a music playlist that contains videos? I tried renaming an MP4 video to MP3, but iTunes said it couldn't play the file.
Any suggestions would be welcome...

Playlists are shown under Music > Playlists or within the sidebar. Click once on a playlist name to select it and click again to start editing the text of the name, the text will become higlighted with the cursor flashing at the right hand end. It's not part of the edit playlist rules dialog, or a menu option.

How do I set up my app to display its name in Chinese?

When the iPhone language is set to English, or Spanish, the app name is displayed correctly, but for Chinese Simplifled it reverts back to displaying the English name.
Would anyone know how to achieve this?
Using AIR 16 as 17 currently has bug issues for me.

Cannot Shuffle Music Playlist from Apple TV

When I go into my homeshare libray from the apple TV, then go into Music->Music Playlist and then choose any of my playlists that my music videos are in, I can play my music videos one by one. There is always the option to shuffle at the top, however when I pick "Shuffle" it displays a yellow triangle with exclamation mark in it and says "no content was found." Any idea why I cannot shuffle a playlists of music videos from the apple TV?

I'm having the same issue. For some playlists, I can shuffle, but others, it won't and I get that "No content was found". I haven't figured it out yet. Has anyone else?

One smart playlist displays wrong songs on iphone 5 since ios7 / itunes 11.1.4.62

About a month ago I updated my iPhone 5 to ios7 and this week I updated my iTunes to 11.1.4.62.
Yesterday I noticed that one of my playlists I haven’t listened to on my iPhone in a long time was not working properly at all. It is a smart playlist that I’ve used successfully for a long time and it is syncing correctly to my 4th Gen iPod Touch (ios 6), which makes me think the problem is with the iPhone/ ios7. On the phone, it did not contain the correct songs and most of the tracks had a little “cloud” symbol next to them; they would not play, but I was invited to “download” them, which I did not attempt as I was not on wifi at the time.
This morning I have spent some time experimenting to get that playlist with the correct songs to sync from iTunes on my laptop to the iPhone without success. In between the changes (below) I have executed
Basic re-sync
Powering the phone off and on
Closing and re-opening iTunes
The changes I’ve tried have included
Unticking the playlist, syncing the iPhone to remove the playlist from the phone, re-ticking the playlist and re-syncing the phone (the contents of the playlist were still wrong on the phone despite appearing correctly in iTunes, both in iTunes’s own version of the playlist and how the phone’s version of the playlist displayed in iTunes whilst connected)
Deleting the playlist in iTunes, repeating above steps having recreated the smart playlist in iTunes before the resync.
I have only been able to get the songs I want in a playlist on the iPhone by creating a new playlist that is not smart from the contents of the smart playlist, then unticking the smart playlist and ticking/syncing the new unsmart playlist instead. Other smart playlists are syncing fine. Please note that my iPhone has over 6500 tracks on it, so completely removing and resyncing the entire lot would not be an option I’d want to look at. I cannot see that the random songs populating the problem playlist on the iphone have anything in common – they are a mix of purchased music and tracks from CDs. All are in my iTunes on my laptop – I don’t have any music stored solely in the cloud.
I have checked all my settings both on the phone and in iTunes, including those for iCloud and cannot see that I have set up anything that would be causing this. Can anyone help please?

How to display and type in Chinese on BB bold 9000?

Hey, I'm a new user of BB bold 9000. Just bought the phone from the states, which was distributed by AT&T and it is unlocked.
I have tried couple times by following this post:

install Desktop Manager without Media Manager on your PC
install the handheld software 4.5.0.174 on your PC (it will install inside the Desktop Manager)

plug your BlackBerry device to the PC, and launch the Desktop Manager
in the application section, you can see the OS of 2) and install it to your BlackBerry device."
Basically what I did was to install Desktop Manager without Media Manager (5.0) version on my PC and installed the handheld software 4.6
I noticed that there's no Chinese language selection (basically no Asian languages) and I then tried 4.6 Desktop Manager which still didn't work.
Also, I am not able to find the "vender.xml", wondering if this has any impact on the application.
What should I install to display and type in Chinese? Any inputs will be appreciated!

1. Go to http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
2. Choose your Carrier (AT&T)
3. Then proceed with selecting the BlackBerry Bold 9000 and select Next.
4. You will download the device software "BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.6.0.519 (EastAsia)".
5. Once this software is downloaded, please install on your PC.

How to add a display language to 8320

I just got BB CUrve 8320 from T Mobile.
Does any one know how can I add a display language to it in order to read different language in the email? I need to read chinese.

At first check whether Chinese language is already in your phone or not.
Go to options -> languages -> under language filed look for Chinese. If its there then selecting this will do the trick for you.
If its not there then download the multilingual device software pack from your carrier download site. Install that in your PC and with the help of application manager install the required pack in your device.

Music playlist and photo slideshow

I Have an ipad 2 i open my music playlist and start playing music, i then open my photos and select slide show, after about 2 1/2 to 3 songs in,playlist just quits, anyone else have this problem??

if you have music in your library, when tapping on slideshow a menu appears - Turn on music option. when on a song should display below it - tapping it will take you to your library.
Photo App will give you access to all albums as set in settings\Photo
Camera - select camera roll - gives camera roll only but options for everything else
Slideshow timings is under Settings\Photo

N97 Display languages

Hi ya all experts around. Sorry if this topic been asked b4 but i could not locate so far.
Just wondering that when i first purchase this N97 with firmware v11 it display text messages with chinese languages well.
But now it just display the squarish thingy on Chinese and Japanese language (even on my dictionary)
I did not config anything or install language related software. My firmware now was v12.
Is it cause of this? I did not specially notice whether is it after this update which is causing this.

your product code for the phone most likely was not mean for those languages to begin with, they got added on after the firmware was already installed. so now every time you update firmware and or have to reformat your phone you will have to go to nokia care and have them install those languages for a small fee as it is not the phones fault, but the shop that sold the unit to you had probably added it on.

"Podcast" songs no longer in Music playlist

I subscribe to the "KEXP Song of the Day" podcast. The entries in this podcast are simply songs - no content is added. I edit the metadata for the songs to switch the genre from "Podcast," add the correct album information, and so on. However, as of iTunes 7, these songs no longer appear in the Music playlist. (They do appear in other playlists if you drag them there from the Podcasts playlist.) Because there's no difference between these songs and any others except their origin, this is quite an annoyance. I can no longer view all my music in the Music playlist.
I suppose I can set up a new "My Music" playlist that contains all my songs, but I never had to do this before, and I'd rather not now.

I have a related question, I guess. I have all the podcasts on my ipod in a playlist called "AllPodcasts." I now understand that I can shift+delete to actually delete podcasts from the iPod, but what about stuff that I just "deleted" before without the shift, and which thus were only removed from the playlist, but didn't free up space on the iPod?
Used to be (in pre-7 iTunes) that there would be one big catchall list of everything, but now I can't get the iPod to display the podcasts that I removed form the AllPodcasts playlist (so I can really delete them and free up space).
How can I view those files in order to get rid of them now? Do I have to go into disk mode? Please HELP, anyone. Thank you.

Organize columns of device music playlist in iTunes

I am having trouble alphabetizing the music playlist that is in my device in iTunes. I would like the columns in a particular order (Name, Artist, Time, Year, etc...). I would also like to specify the width of the columns. I would like the songs sorted alphabetically by artist. The music playlist in the library is fine; it's the device music playlist that I need to organize. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Mark

Are you talking about the "Music" list that appears under the device name in iTunes when the device is connected? That displays with exactly the same fields in the same order and with the same widths that the main Music view is set to.
You cannot adjust the fields in that view, but if you go back to the main Music view and change fields or widths, the device Music list will inherit the same changes.
Note added: I played around a little more, and what I just wrote does not hold up. The fields in the device Music view are indeed not adjudstable, but they do not necessarily follow the main Music view. So, not clear whether there is a way to change them.
