Music plays back slow once exported to another program.

How do I get it to play at normal speed? It plays fine in GarageBand but once exported to Adobe After Effects or Premiere Pro it plays way slower than the speed I had it set at in GarageBand. Any suggestions?

Well I ended up exporting the song to iTunes, finding the .aif file on my computer, importing it into adobe audition, then exporting it as a .wav and my audio sounded just fine! ... In case anyone comes across this issue!

AMS play back stops once 30 ppl are watching

I am posting this here and the Adobe Forum service.
I am streaming live/dvr with 5.0.4 using the m1.large ec2 server. I have streamed well with 100+ people watching at the same time for 72 hrs events.
I have 14 live feeds each connected to a different aws cloudfront. All feeds exists on the 1 ec2 adobe server (livepkgr 1-14)
My web code calls to an standard .swf strobe player on my server (that came with AMS,) through cloudfront also.
My streams are viewed on my website through enbed code which ask for .f4m and .m3u8 through amazon cloudfront code to reduce server calls.( as I thought this might help with any bandwidth issues since each cloudfront is suppose to be 27 extra cache servers?) The problem I just ran into this weekend was, with the only difference being the .swf player was on adobe.com
I was only using 1 live feed this time. Then, once 31 people were viewing on 1 cloudfront feed the strobe player would stop on the website.!!?? I would have to stop FMLE live feed and restart each time. Then the feed would come back and again once 30+ viewers were watching, down again. And the feed was being shown on two separate websites. Both sites have unlimited bandwidth in terms of people who can log on to watch.
I am only encoding at 400kbs. on 1 feed, through 1 cloudfront. My ec3 was only at 10% usage.
30 ppl would be only 12 Mbps
Can someone please help. What should be my best setup to get the most out of this size ec2 before have to move up to the larger servers.
Seems as though I should be able to more than 30 people to watch at one time on a m1.large

Extra note: I have used the c1. class ec2's and can get 150 viewers. The ec2 is 8x larger, but will I get this same problem when 240 viewers are watching?

You say your sequence settings match the clips. But if they really match, there shouldn't even be an opportunity to render on the timeline.
You are probably using a codec that is not DV - clearly it is not the same as your timeline or you wouldn't need to render.
Thanks everyone for your input, but I'm still at a loss and pulling my hair out. First, let me reiterate that these clips play back perfectly smoothly in iMovie, and in a larger window to boot, without dropping any frames. So I doubt my older G4, or hard-drive data throughput, is to blame.
Let me clarify the problem. When I view clips in the Viewer, I'm not sure that frames are being dropped. Rather, every 2 secs (like clockwork), the clip freezes momentarily, then plays smoothly for another 2 secs, almost as if a cache is being filled up before playing the next 2 sec.
I've double and triple-checked that my settings, and clips, are for DV. The clip icon on the desktop is a little slate with the letters "DV" in the center.
My A/V Settings show the Sequence Preset: DV NTSC 48 kHz
My Sequence Settings are:
Frame size: 720 x 480 NTSC DV (3:2)
Pixel aspect ratio: NTSC-CCIR 601/DV (720x480)
Field dominance: Lower (even)
Editing timebase: 29.97
Compressor: DV/DVC Pro NTSC
Quality: 100% (i.e. Best)
Scan mode: Interlaced
Aspect ratio: 4:3
Audio rate: 48 kHz
Audio depth: 16-bit
Audio config: Default
Lastly, the only 2 strange things I've found is that even though the clips are DV, in the clip properties it says the data rate is 6.9 Mb/sec (I thought DV is 3.2 Mb/sec). Also, the audio says 32 kHz (I thought DV is 48 kHz). Does this mean anything?

Music plays back SLIGHTLY fast

I'm recording music at the moment, semi-professionally. I would like to use my iPod to listen while using my laptop to record, but the iPod seems to play the music back at a slightly faster speed. As a result, while I'm in time with the music (or metronome) at the start of the song, by the end of a 4min song I'm usually a bar or two ahead of the song. Obviously this is unacceptable.
I have tested this, putting a microphone directly next to speakers connected to my iPod, and recorded a full song, and the iPod played back fast.
I doubt there is an easy fix for this, if one at all. Just posting this in case.

Hello, when you record do you use an "M-box"? It converts analog to digital, which the computer sync with easier.

Global key shortcut to play next track while working in another program...

Is there a key combo that will play the next track regardless of what program you are working in? I know command arrow will do that, but itunes must have focus for that to work.
Senerio - I am working in pages and the track playing is not a favorite, can I skip to the next track without finding the itunes window?

Music Plays Slightly Slow At First

Has anyone had their iPod Touch play their music oh so slightly slow at first when they haven't played with it for a while. Sometimes when I haven't played with it for a day or so when I go off standby or from a cold boot it plays the songs just slightly slow. It's barely noticeable but I notice it. It seems to go away after 3 songs or so. It's like it needs to warm up or something.

I sync it fairly often but I just listened and compared it to my computer's playback and it seemed the same. I don't know...maybe I'm being paranoid. I've had this thing for over a year now but I'd swear that sometimes it plays slower.
I noticed with the OS 3 update the audiobook speed is missing....did they bury it someplace else? I was wondering if that might change things?

After rendering a clip it plays back slow

For christmas i recived a gopro hero 3, since then i have been out to the beach filming with it.
The setting i filmed in is 48fps at 1080p
I first brought it straight into premiere cc and started to edit it, i noticed that some clips after rendering seemed to have slown down, but kept the same duration.
At first i thought it was because i was stablizing the clips, but only certian clips became slow, while others were fine.
I then downloaded the gopro program and converted the clips to avi files as apparently the gopro files straight from the camera arn't the best for playback and editing.
Even after converting the same clips slow down and i dont know why, i have looked around for a good few hours now and noone seems to know why its happening?
Is it because of the framerate i recorded in? i have had problems before with the sequence settign being right but for this i made the sequence from the clips so they are the same.
Im a regualr editor of dslr footage and all that is fine, its just when i start to edit gopro footage that it happens

historically film cameras are 24 FPS ...and broadcast ( in the US ) is 30 FPS...so a lot of what happens in editing is sometimes related to that stuff...
If you shot at 48 FPS and showed it on a film projector ( which is 24 fps ) as " film " it would look twice as SLOW as normal footage shot at 24 FPS.
If you shot at 48 FPS and want it to look NORMAL than you would play it on a projector that actually projects at 48 FPS...and then it would normal.
See what I mean about the stuff being related ??
So if you shot 48 FPS and want it to look normal you can try " intrepret footage " settings...and there are others here who can help you more... I don't shoot overcranked and haven't done what you are trying to do .. but you should stipulate whether you want the motion you shot to look " normal " or slowed twice as much or what ... keeping in mind what I said above ...

Using aux-in cable for music play-back in car.. help needed

Has anyone had any issues using an aux-in cable for music playback with the S3? I know the cable works fine on other devices (itouch, moto x, etc) and headphones work fine on the device, but I cannot get thing to work using the aux-in cable in my car. I've gone through all the settings I could think of and nothing has worked. Any ideas would be most appreciated.

I have not had that problem. Are you using a standard 3.5mm stereo aux cable? I have read a post in another forum that some posters with the same complaint simply were not pushing the plug in hard enough. I know this sounds silly, but try again and push until you a absolutely positive it is in. Also, try another cable if you can. If it works with the headset that came with the phone, then the phone or aux port is probably not the problem. You could also try another car with the same cable you have now. Just some different thoughts for you.
The one known issue is that when you are connected via the aux cable and get a call, the call audio is sent to the car speakers and the internal mic is used for your voice. This happens even if you have a BT headset connected. I hope they resolve this with the forth coming update.

Screen rotation during music play back -- very annoying!

I hate that the screen rotates when playing music. I have an arm band holster (Griffin), and when I lift my arm to use the touch screen for commands, it rotates into album shuffle mode. Very annoying!
I'm trying to do something with the device and it goes into some kind of album choosing mode -- when I'm already more than happy with the play list I've created!
Would be very nice to be able to cancel that feature.
Why only album shuffle too? Why not play list shuffle? That's how I listen.

It doesn't appear if you tap the screen/artwork while the audiobook is playing?

Volume on music played back on pc varies between songs.

playback on Ipod is not an issue. but on pc playback the volumes vevels change between songs

when I go to the youtube, the WMP pauses the music by itself, and when I close the youtube, the WMP resumes the music byt itself!

Itunes won't export to another program

Hi Just joined and downloaded 3 songs so i can put them over the top of photos to make a slide show more interesting.Now after all this and payng for the 3 songs i find i am unable to open these tunes in any other program
I am trying topen them in photoshop but it syas they are the wrong file type. How do i change the file type if i can .

I think it may have said go to Edit>Advanced>Importing, not exporting. If you are trying to convert a file to another format the first thing you do is change your import settings to the format you want to convert to. In iTunes 8 this option has changed position. If you are using iTunes 8 go to Edit>Preferences>General and click on Import Settings, change your option to MP3 for example. Go back to your library and highlight the songs you want to convert and go to the Advanced menu at the top of your iTunes window and choose "Create MP3 version": iTunes: How to convert a song to a different file format
One exception to this are standard copy protected songs purchased from the iTunes Music Store which can't be directly converted due to the DRM (Digital Rights Management) copy protection. However you can burn these to an Audio CD which will work like any regular CD. If you have purchased standard 128kbps songs from the iTunes Store you can't convert them, if they were iTunes Plus (they have a little plus sign beside the price) you can.

Clicking sound when I play back music

Occasionally, my music plays back with a clicking sound. Tick tick tick tick. It's not too loud, like audio interference, but it's not my cables. It also happens with headphones.
If I open the track using Quicktime Player, it sounds great.
Also, all my music is on an external hard drive. Nothing is interfering with it in any way. It even happens when iTunes is the only app open.
System is fully current and so is iTunes.
Also, music skips when I'm using other apps, even apps that do not use much processor, like checking mail or iChat. I'd normally attribute this to disk use, but, again, my music is on an external drive. Nothing else is on the drive, just music.

I have the same problem, and it's driving me nuts.
What's odd is that it frequently occurs on my dual G5 tower (at work), but not on my single G5 iMac at home.
It seems to happen even when I have no other applications open.
I've tried both with music on the internal drive an on an external Firewire drive. Same problem.

Imported audo plays back too slow

I dragged and dropped a 48k wav file into GB and it played back slow. Is GB set to 44.1? Do I need to convert it 44.1k?

so you are saying i can render out an .flv file and just rename the extension to .swf ?? would this be a smaller file ? i cant seem to get the .swf file smaller than 56 megs out of after effects, the only way would be to make the actual size (600x336) smaller....but this would make the animation too small on the screen....and i like the size of it now. i will try the .flv thing tonight.
the firefox thing fixed itself. this morning when i tried it, it played the flash file. slowly and sluggishly, like safari, but it played it back. so maybe it had to update ? dont know....not sure. thanks again....and let me know about renaming the file...can i just change the extension ?

Burned CD's won't play back

Hi All -
Burned several CD's in my on board superdrive on my G5. They play back in my computer, but not in my home stereo and not in my car? Why could this be.
Apple care says probably because my stereo cd player is old.... but that and my car that's 5 yrs old?

I had some problems with an "old" CD player that would not play the first track but if i skipped to the second (or third) track, the disc played fine. I could even "rewind" to the start of the disc and all tracks would play. Have you tried using another program to make CDs (Toast for example) or tried a copy from Finder?

WAV files play back too fast

When I choose File->Open to open an AIFF, MP3 or other file in Audition CS6, it simply plays back at normal speed. However, when I open a WAV file, it plays back at double speed (voices become high-pitched). NOTE: The sample rate (44.1) and bit size settings match exactly. This is not a sample rate issue. The frame rate is NOT set to custom.
This happens only to WAV files. The platform Mac OS X 10.8.3. Any ideas?

How much faster? Have you timed the playback speed with a stop watch and compared the actual duration with the duration (Time) in the browser?
If youtube plays back slower, it might be caused by the network.

And do you have any non-standard Audio devices installed - look at System Preferences > Audio > Output ?
Did you install any Audio Drivers?
Also look at the Audio Devices in Audio MIDI setup (Applications > Utilities):
Check the Format for you output device if it is set to 441000 Hz (compare the setting to the sample rate you see on your songs in the iTunes Library).
If this setting is wrong, iTunes may try to playback at the wrong speed.
