Music purchases from iTunes

Living in the Persian Gulf not having a Credit Card for the States or European Countries, how can I can purchase from iTunes?
thank's
iMac   Mac OS X (10.3)

Sorry, but basically you can't. Unless you have a legal residence in a country where there is an iTunes Music Store and so could purchase iTunes Music cards and provide a local mailing address, you will not be able to set up an iTunes Music Store account.
This is, by the way, at the insistence of the record companies, not by Apple's choice.

  • Using music purchased from iTunes in a slideshow/DVD

I purchased some music from iTunes to use for a slideshow that I am creating. I want to burn this slideshow to a DVD. Is this possible? I read in another forum that it was not. If this is correct, is there a way to work around this issue?

Finding "a way to work around this issue" goes directly against the terms of usage for the forums in terms of discussing ways to get around copy protection methods.
I would offer that my asking for a way to "work around" the problem may not have been the best choice of terms. It is one that is frequently used in other forums when users are discussing how to solve a problem. However, my intent was not to violate either copyright laws or the terms of use of this forum. Certainly it would be very foolish indeed to ask how to do so in a discussions site operated by the same company that produces the software in question!
The DVD I am working on is for personal use, a slideshow of a family vacation. I purchased the music from iTunes to use in the DVD. I am aware that I can burn several CD's (5?) for each song I buy. I concluded, perhaps incorrectly, that this DVD would constitute one of the allowed burns.
Copyrighted music is handled differently depending on which iLife application is being used. With Garageband, it is impossible to import DRM music into the program; any editing is obviously out of the question. Yet, the same musical selection can be imported into iMovie, and it is also possible to edit it.
Perhaps my question should be: Do I have to follow any special procedure when burning a DVD that contains music purchased from iTunes? I remember seeing something about this some time ago; I have not been able to find that post. I was hoping to get the answer in this forum.

  • Trying to use music purchased from iTunes store with a home movie

I am making a home movie for family use only in either iMovie or Final Cut Pro, but neither app will allow me to use music purchased from iTunes store. Why not? It's not a licensing issue b/c there is no distribution other than my family at a big birthday party. The music imports but acts as if it has no audio once the file is imported to either program. help!

Put the purchased songs into a playlist. Set iTunes burning options to burn AUDIO CDs. Burn the playlist to an audio CD (you can use a CD-RW if you don't want to waste a blank). After it is done, reimport the tracks off the CD. Now use the reimported versions in iMovie or FCP and they should work fine now.

  • Cannot download movies and music purchased from itunes to ipad

I have an iPAD 2 with WIFI/3G capabilities.  Currently I am unable to download movies and music purchased from iTUNES.  The only thing I can download with no problems are APPS.  I don't have a laptop/desktop with iTUNES, so that is out of the question.  Here is the kicker, my friend who has an iPAD 2 with WIFI only, is able to download anything and everything using the same WIFI connection.  Is anyone else facing the same problem?

Check settings, general, restrictions.  Make sure I tunes is set right.  Otherwise, log onto your account in I tunes, and make sure there is nothing strange going on with your accout.  If it works in the app store, it should work in I tunes.

If you can't remember your password or security answers and don't have access to the email address (you didn't have a rescue email address on the account ?) then you can try contacting Support in your country and seeing if you can get the password reset and access to the account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699 (they should also be able to reset the security questions)
If you can then update the primary email address on the account to be an address that you have access to.

  • Lots of music purchased from iTunes suddenly has exclamation marks

I turned on my Mac this morning and found that lots of my music - stuff that was purchased from iTunes - suddenly has exclamation marks next to it and I get a message saying that the file cannot be found.
Since I have Match, surely the system should find the music in the cloud and simply use that to replace the missing files?
I don't know why they have gone missing - no files have been changed and they were working just fine when I shut the machine down last night.

    Hi
No it's on one of the internal HDDs in my Mac Pro and seems only to affect random tunes.
The only way I can find to work around it so far is to delete the tracks from the Mac and re-downoad them from the Cloud.
Seems very odd and is very irritating.Would be quite useful if I could simply do what  do with my iPhone - access the music from the cloud rather than locally.
Mind you I still have two tracks from a Led Zeppelin CD of mine that were in the library when I turned Match on and are still listed as 'waiting' and greyed out 7 months later...!

  • Siri won't stop playing music purchased from iTunes

In settings -> iTunes & App Store, I have all options set to off. In settings -> Music, "show all music" is off. So nothing I've purchased is displayed in the music app. In addition, I don't have any music synched from my Mac. The Music app is completely devoid of music. The background in the Music app is brown and there's a message saying there are no contents.
When I say to Siri, "Play some music," the reply from Siri is, "Playing all music, shuffled" and music I have purchased from iTunes is played. How is Siri accessing that music when I have all settings for iCloud, iTunes, and the Music app set to not display or download anything purchased from iTunes?

i think i'm having the same problem!
i just bought several songs from itunes and tried putting them on my recently updated ipod. except a message popped up on my pc saying i wasnt authorized to play those songs. I JUST BOUGHT THEM! i sure as **** better be able to put them on there....what do i dooooooo?????

  • I have an ipad and ipod nano. the laptop i used to load music to nano died, is there a way to load music purchased from itunes on the ipad to the nano?

my laptop died, is there a way to tranfer music purchased in ITunes from an ipad air to an ipod nano?

The only way to sync to a nano is to use an iTunes account on a computer.
When or if you get a replacement computer you can retrieve all of your purchased music (from iTunes) to sync to your nano

The music I purchased from itunes store using a Windows computer has not shared to my new Mac Book Pro.  I checked all the settings and everythings appears to be ok but the only music on the Mac is what I purchased using it.  I hope to get all my music loaded on the Mac.

  • Upgraded (6.0.6) iPhoto will not recognise music purchased from ITune

I downloaded the iPhoto 6.0.6 update and the iTunes 7.1.1 update, and now when I try to add any of the songs from my iTunes library which I have purchased from the iTunes store to one of my Iphoto slideshows, it says that my computer is not authorised to play the song (even though it is - i.e. the songs still play on iTunes). The same problem does not occur with songs in my library not purchased from iTunes.
I also had no such problems before I downloaded the updates. Very annoying. Any answers?

Actually, Apple does list the QuickTime requirement, but you have to look for it. Updates do not usually require other updates (although lately some of them have). However, when you upgraded from iTunes 6 to iTunes 7, you caused your Mac to need the system requirements for the upgrade. They are listed here http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ on the Apple Download iTunes 7 page. Notice under "Additional video requirements" where it says QuickTime 7.1.5 or later, which links to the update page for QuickTime.
I agree it would be nice if they made it more obvious. It is a good idea to get into the habit of checking system requirements before upgrading any software, to avoid exactly this kind of surprise.

  • How do I find music purchased from iTunes on my home computer's music library

I'm using iTunes to purchase music which I want to download on to my Sony Walkman. When I use Windows Media Player to sync from iTunes to the Walkman I do not see the music I purchased. Where do I find the music I purchased, on my computer, to be able to sync to my Walkman. I have a Dell Inspiron with Windows 7. Thanks

Search the computer for files with the m4a extension.

  • I cannot download music purchased from iTunes store to iPod

All of a sudden when I connect my 2G Nano I get an error message that says, "Some of the items in the iTunes library were not copied to the iPod "your name iPod" Because your iPod software is too old. Go to the Summary in iPod preferences and click Update to get the latest iPod software update."
When I click OK The "Update" button is greyed out and I cannot select it. On the Summary tab under "Version" it says "your iPod is up to date."
What I noticed is that any songs in my playlists that were purchased through the iTunes music store were not transfered to the iPod. The difficult work around is to burn those songs to a CD and re-import them as mp3's. I tried deauthorizing and reauthorizing my computer which did not work. I also rebuilt my iTunes music library which did not work.
I belive when I irst set up this new iPod about 3 weeks ago this was not a problem and purchased songs transferred from iTunes to the iPod but now they don't.
    Any Suggestions?

Also I forgot to mention that when all this was happening, I wanted to Retore my iPod but this option was also greyed out in the summary section and it wouldnt let me do it, therefore I hooked it up to my Windows XP machine and was able to restore the iPod. Now it was formatted for Windows. I hooked it up to my Mac machine and got all the same problems but it downloads everything from itunes to the iPod except purchased music.
So I opened iPod Updater and it said that it cannot update the iPod because it if formated for Windows. It also says if I now want to Restore it, I need to connect using a firewire cable whereas before I was using a USB cable because it said the Nano is not compatible with a firewire cable.
    Arghhhh.

  • Why is it that only music purchased from iTunes ever shows up as missing on my hard drive?

Over the years I have lost many songs from my iTunes library.  But what is most striking is that the only ones that have ever been missing are iTunes purchases.  None of the music that I have imported from my CDs has ever been deleted/erased from iTunes or my hard drive.  Only iTunes purchased content has EVER been erased.
Is it that iTunes goes through your library and then deletes things that you paid for so that you will need to buy those songs again?  Yes.  And why is it that I can buy apps and download them over and over but not music?  Because it would make sense for them to be treated the same.  Making sense cannot happen.
Yes, I've read the Terms and Conditions.  I know that there's only ONE music download allowed.  So why can I download multiple copies of other purchases?  And why don't they ever get removed from my hard drive?
I'm just ranting and complaining from years of frustration and disappointment, that's all.

Yes, I've read the Terms and Conditions.  I know that there's only ONE music download allowed.
    Josie,
Apparently you read an old version of the Terms and Conditions, because that is no longer true.  Download your past music, TV, app, and book purchases again, at no additional cost.
    Yes, it includes music!
