After the 11.1.1 upgrade iTunes skips songs after a certain period of time. The skipping moment is different for a bunch of songs, but it's staying the same for each of those songs (one song always skips at 0:34, another one always at 0:05, etc.). When I manually set the "marker" right behind that moment the songs play through to the end. All the files are ok. When I drag them to the desktop and play them in preview or VLC the problem does not occur! There is also no exclamation mark or anything...
Any ideas anbody? I'm really dazed...

Problem In report output display when i run in the background

Hi,
In a classical report i am printing around 17 fields the width of the report out put is around 800 characters.
If i run the report in the fore ground it running perfectly. But the thing is when i give large selection is it GETTING ' TIMED OUT ' as it is running more than an Hour.
so i wanted to run it in the back ground to avoid TIME OUT problems.
But when i run in the backgroud i am not getting full out put in the SPOOL request(SIZE of the report output may causing the problem) .
Pls come up with some solutions

I get message: Force Quit Application when I run iTunes about low disk space, yet I have enought disk space. Recurring often, now. When I run disk utility, tons of permissions differ on 'Applications/iTunes...uld be drwxr-x appear.

When I run my iTunes on my Max 0SX after a while I get a window on my screen: message reads: Your Mac 0SX startup disk has no more space available for application memory (even though I run my Utility and have tons of space available.) I run the verify permissions and see tons of messages that read: permissions differ on 'Applications/iTunes...uld be drwxr-x; they are - rwxr-xr-x.' Utility cannot get rid of these 'permission' messges. This also happens when I'm working in iPhoto. Need help, please.
This is not a Utility permissions problem. Seems it is more a disk space problem. HELP tells me to go Downloads and double-click on Downloads and choose Open Downloads. But this does not work. Downloads will not open. Is it possible Downloads is 'locked?' And if so, how can I unlock Downloads?

Trying to be more clear, here. Now, that I know the permissions are normal when running verify permissions in Utility.
Main problem: when I run iPhoto for some time, or iTunes for some time, on my Mac OSX, I get a window that pops up with a message that reads: Your MacOSX startup disk has no more space available for application memory. (It asks me then to 'quit applications you are not using.' After I do that (even though only one app may be open, it tells me to Relaunch Finder).But when I check I see I have tons of gigabyte space on my computer, I've only used a miniscule amount of disk space.
I click on this message, without 'relaunching Finder' and I can't get rid of it.
Why is it telling me I have no more disk space when I have tons of space? Why am I getting this message?

I have very high 100% CPU usage when I run itunes.

My itunes software is up to date and I have quick time free edition. I have no problem playing my music files but when I play a music video either purchased from itunes store or imported from another source it HAS NO SOUND!!!. Technical Support from Apple haven't been able to resolve the issue, they keep telling me is the video format but it also happen with videos purchased from them.

I'm about to go nuts! All of sudden my CD player skips and stutters when playing through ITUNES AND MEDIA PLAYER. I can SOMETIMES import songs, but then the entire system freezes up and crashes. Amen! I have worked hard to resolve this issue. I tried EVERYTHING...until I tried the ONE THING that worked. I reinstalled XP. That's all it took. It all works better than ever.

Music skips when playback through computer

Ever since I installed itunes 5.0, the songs skip when i play the pusic through my computer. I tried playing it using Realplayer and it does the same thing. Anyone else have this problem?

If other applications are skipping, I suspect that it's a configuration issue.

My PC (Vista) crashes when I run iTunes (geius related)

last few weeks I have iTunes 9 and whenever I start it it crashes while updating genius. Right in the middle of genius update my PC (notebook) just turns off and I have to restart it.
I would like to run iTunes 9 so I can use genius mixes so I would be thankfull for any solution which would enable me to run iTunes 9 on my machine.

Music skips when I unlock my phone?

I just recently got an iPhone 5s, and today was the first time i listened to music on it. Everytime I unlocked my phone while listening, the music skipped and went back a couple of seconds, sometimes as much as 20 seconds. Can I fix this?

Should not happen (doesn't for me).
Try a Reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

Need User input pop-up in powershell when its run as a background process of an Application

I have created a powershell script which requires two parameters to be passed onto it for getting executed. This script is called by an application and runs it in background (no console / window). During this process the application is unable to complete
the execution of the script due to the missing user inputs (no popup comes for entering parameters by even after using read-host/[system.console]::Read()).
The powershell.exe process can only be seen in task manager.
Is there a way in which my script will create a pop up and ask for the parameter values?

Note that a process that runs with hidden windows will have all of its child process windows hidden. Any popup you add to the script will behidden. There is nothing you can do about that. This is by design.

Music skips when running slideshow in iPhot0 8

I created a slideshow in Iphoto 8 and when I play it any music I select from Itunes (burned from a CD and not purchased on Itunes) skips about every 10 seconds. I've tried several songs and they all do the same thing. When I play the same songs on Itunes they do not skip. I have also tried running other slideshows and the problem occurs in them as well.
Apple just replaced my power supply thinking that it was defective and overloaded while running a slideshow with music and it did not resolve the problem. I have 4gb of ram and a large HD which is only half utilized. Can anyone offer a solution?

Let's try the long shot fix: close iPhoto, delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder, launch iPhoto and see if that helps. It's fixed other issues that were seemingly unrelated to a preference file.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There's now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

Music skips when the display off power setting kicks in

I have a Satellite S55T-B5152, running Windows 8 (until 10 comes out). I've noticed a very odd and irritating problem - when playing my local music via VLC Media Player (just mp3s from the hard drive), I notice that the audio will start to skip after a few minutes. I timed how long it took to start and it will happen after 10 minutes of no activity when plugged in, and after 2 minutes of no activity when on battery, each and every time. I investigated my power settings and it turns out this *exactly* the amount of time when my display is set to turn off. When I alter the time for the display to turn off, the time elapsed until the audio skips will follow it exactly. I tested this with another mp3 player (Foobar) as well and got the same results. I can't test this with video as my display won't turn off if I'm playing video (either in the player or via the internet). What's also kind of interesting is that if I close my lid, which turns off the display, it won't cause the audio to skip - it will ONLY happen when the time to turn off the display has elapsed. So if my time to turn off display is 2 minutes, I can close my lid and the audio plays fine, but after exactly 2 minutes, the audio will start skipping. Anyone have any thoughts on this? It's very annoying - I basically can't play music unless I set the display to never turn off, which I'd prefer not to do for power saving and longevity reasons. Help would be much appreciated.

Mount the Disk Image on the Desktop. Open Disk Utility and select the dmg file in the left hand pane:
Next insert a blank DVD and click on the Burn button at the top. In the next window select the burn speed you want. I use 2x.
Always use top quality media: Verbatium, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.
