Music sounds garbled and echo

The music from the IPOD function of my Iphone sounds very garbled and distorted. Everything else appears to work fine. I have tried different headphones. This would have appeared to have happened since the latest update. This is an original iphone 8gig.

I found out after a trip to my apple store that my phone had picked up some moisture. Once they had determined that, they would not take it any further. There is an indicator in the bottom of your headphone jack. If it is red then you have had moisture get into your phone.
I would have thought they would have had an option for repair since the rest of the phone works great. They do not even have a refurbed phone at reduced pricing. basically I could buy one at the same price as the new one. Not a good way to serve your customers Apple!

My music sounds garbled - is not playing correctly

This is my son's iPod and Im not sure what he has done to it, but the music sounds like it is being played under water. I have did the 5 R's and also wiped out all the music and reinstalled it and Im getting the same effect. It is not the ear buds either. Not sure what else I can do for it. Any suggestions???

If you have done the 5 R's and tried multiple pairs of headphones and it still does the same thing. I would suggest setting it up for repair if it is still under the warranty, as it may be the headphone jack itself or something else hardware related.

How to balance the audio sound on my system. the keyboard sounds vibrating and echoeing,

I would like help with the settings of this system. Since I did the critical update, it is recording sounds of fingers, voice, keyboard and the speakers volume cannot be set high because of the vibration and echoeing. My system is HP Pavilion dv6 6102sa. Could anyone help me sought this out. Its just annoying hp assistance can't help.

Sounds garbled and didn't drop iPad.

A lot of talking apps are on my iPad for demonstration and teaching purposes. Suddenly the sounds are all garbled and that makes hearing what is being said very difficult. Didn't drop it. Have been caressing this puppy! Any ideas? The only other issue with it was Voiceover wouldn't close once. Despite tapping it once to select it and then double tapping to activate it and having it close--it would open again--ON ITS OWN!--requiring a request to Siri to close Voieceover. Any ideas? I was just playing flappy bird which always crash. After that, the home button became unresponsive. I tried recalibration Technique but failed. Sfter, the earphone dock and music sounded garbled but later of, stopped producing sounds. What is the problem?

If a reset doesn't work, try reset all settings
Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
Note: Data will not be affected but settings for Wi-Fi, FaceTime, Message, Home Sharing will be reset

Distorted sound and echo on airplay extended display

Since the update to Mavericks, extending the display or mirroring to my 2nd gen AppleTV, causes distorted sound and echo. Any video or music has distortion and echo. This wasn't happening with mirroring prior to the update. Anyone else having a simliar issue?

go to your appleTV and choose the auto sound setting, not the 16bit sound setting

The equalizer might be on.
On the nano, even if the equalizer is set to off in the iPod settings, the equalizer setting in iTunes is used. If you have a track in iTunes with a custom EQ set to, say, "rock" the iPod will use rock. It may sound fine though the computer speakers but not so good though the earbuds.
Not all iPods are consistent about how they use the per track EQ settings from iTunes. On a 5G iPod, for example, setting the EQ on the iPod to off means it plays everything flat.
You could try setting the EQ on the iPod nano to "flat" while the song in question is playing. If that clears it up you should set that song to use a flat EQ in iTunes. Then it will always play like that on the nano.
Most modern music doesn't need equalization and adding it usually makes music sound distorted and garbled.

The latest release of the Flash Player (v9.0.115.0 released
on 12/03/07)) causes audio to sound garbled and/or high pitched
like a chipmunk. Our development team is looking into this issue
and working to find a fix.
To avoid this problem, you can roll back your Flash Player to
a previous release. If you have problems installing an older
release of the Flash Player please review this article and contact
Adobe for further support.
At this time, the problem is limited only to SWF files
produced with the MP3 audio codec. As a workaround, you can produce
your SWF files with the PCM audio codec or use the FLV format

I have an ipod touch 4g (8GB), I got this about 2.5 months ago, the same time my brother get his. My problem is that I noticed that audio quality is better on his device than mine. I have been listening to music and had different music devices before (non-Apple product and mobile phone) and the quality of music is better when I used to listen to those devices as well as my brother's ipod touch. Im referring to the left and right audio channels. Im not so good about the technical stuff but the best explanation I can give you is in a music or a movie, there's an effect wherein you can here a sound only at the left ear phone/speaker that you cant hear at the right earphone/speaker. I mean for example in a song, a guitar intro can be heared only at the left
ear while the background music plays on the other ear. Or when theres and echo effect on the song that alternates sound on the left and right ear. I hope youre getting what Im trying to say. Im bothered that my ipod is fake or has an internal problem on the chips or something because I didnt bought this at an Apple Center/Mac Center. I bought it on a retailer. I am not able to visit any store or Genius Bar or contact an apple specialist through phone because of my work schedule and work load. I have contacted the retailer before when I tried to return it for replacement or repair but he told me that it is under Apple's warranty, not theirs. I suggest you don't apply pressure to the screen - it's a Touch - you touch the screen not push it.

When I try to open an app on my phone or go onto safari, it will open then close on me. Also my phone freezes a lot and sometimes when I listen to music through my head phones, the song will sound funny and it will sound muted. Replacement?

I've been having issues with my phone for about two weeks now. My power button doesn't work properly, whenever I try turning it off I have to try over and over again just to turn it off. I've also been dealing with a lot of freezing with my phone, my music on my phone sometimes doesn't play properly and when it does it sounds funny and the person who is singing has a muted echoing voice. When ever I try to go onto safari it will log me out straight away the same with all of the other apps on my store. It's really bugging me at the moment as I can not use the phone properly (iPhone 5) also I've got this app called "Kik" and whenever I go on there sometimes it'll come up with a pop up box saying "Error with code data".
I would like to know if my phone is faulty, and to be able to get a replacement or possibly an upgrade?

HT1665 Why does music come out muddled and echoing in alarm mode when the iPhone is connected to the Bose SoundDock lll?

There is a very unique problem with the iPhone 5 and iPad mini when connected to the Bose SoundDock III.
In normal music playback, music sounds great coming out of the Bose SoundDock, but, when a song is chosen for the Apple Alarm App and turns on when the alarm goes off, the music sounds terrible. It reverberates, echoes, is muddled, sounds messy.
What is so odd about this is the same sound coming out of a speaker-device connected to the phone's headphone jack sounds perfect, and as intended.
It only has this issue when it is in alarm mode and it's connected via the lighting port connector.
Is this an Apple software glitch that wasn't researched fully or a manufacturing defect on the Bose end?
I've tried a couple Bose systems so it isn't peculiar to one SoundDock.
What are your thoughts?

Check Settings > General > Cellular > Cellular Data and make sure it's "On".

Microphone sounds garbled when I sing and play guitar.

Hello, I just purchased a lenovo G505 and when i try to record when i play guitar and sing it comes out all garbled and like there is water in the background. I tried it on skyp and it worked fine it seems it is picking up the guitar as background noise and makes it garbled... my voice sound ok. I also bought an external mic.... no difference.. I also tried different distances.. no luck... what can I do...???? thanks J

Can you try the following:
1. Disable Microphone Boost by opening Control Panel (icon Views) > Sound > Recording Tab. Select the Microphone that you're using then click Properties > Levels Tab.

2. Enable / Disable Audio Enhancements and observe
- navigate to Control Panel (Icon Views) > Smart Audio and see if you can disable Microphone Noise Reduction, Echo Cancellation, etc.

I have FCE 4.0.1 and running OS x 10.7.5 when i burn my movie the audio from my movie clips don't come through . My Sound effects and music can be heard. I export to Quicktime movie, make it self contained then open IDVD for an intro and burn it.

Mac, because my Mac pro died. when I was using the mac pro, I had final cut Pro X loaded, and in the Music and sound library, I had stock tracks from APM music that came with final cut. now that I have loaded final cut to my new computer, I do not see those tracks. Am I missing something?

The FCP X sound effects were an additional external download and were not kept in the FCP X application.
You probably need to re-download them.
In the FCP menu at the top left of your screen you will see the download link.
