For over a month now, I have not been able to axcess the Itunes music store from this computer (Persario 2100 Window XP) I tunes seems to work fine until I click link for music store / I can see the store loading in the Itunes message window on the progress bar, however as the progess bar reaches the end the entire Itunes program shuts down. I believe I tryed every helpful hint listed in the help files and posted in these discussion, I just purchased a new Ipod for my son and use his disk to install the newest version, however nothing seem to work.
Help Help Help!! this is driving me nuts.
Presario 2100   Windows XP

Well the USA store is up and running, I just accessed it now at roughly 2:30 am Eastern Time (11:30PM Pacific time).
Theres something blocking you or something not set right on your PC or connection. Just to cover the basics do this....
1) Goto control panel>add and remove and uninstall iTunes AND quicktime. Then go here and roll down to "Clean up iTunes installer files on the computer" http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93976
Scan the PC for malware with Ewido http://www.ewido.com
Then disable your antivirus and security programs and goto apple.com to download/install the latest version.
2) Try disabling programs one at a time and then try accessing the store. Disable your firewall and try, if that doesn't work disable antivirus and try again ect ect...
3) If you are connecting to the net thru a router or some device, try (If you can) connecting your internet connection directly to the PC instead of thru the router/device
4) UPDATE, goto Microsote/windows update site and make sure windows is up to date. Goto the PC makers site and manually look for updates to your PC model, Make sure your internet browser is up to date, If your connecting thru a router goto the routers web site and make sure it has the latest firmware updates. If you have a router that came from your ISP (Internet Service Provider) ask them or look on there site for firmware updates for the router

  • PC Suite 6.86.9.3 - Music Manager shuts down.

I just bought the nokia n73 ME, and I downloaded the PC suite 6.86.9.3 from the net. However when I try to use the Music Manager to transfer music, after I select the songs and choose copy to the phone, my music manager shuts down.
Please advise if there is a bug in the PC Suite. I have re-installed the PC Suite back on my phone, and tried everything...PLease advise.

    Hi,
I am using an USB connection. And just to give you some more details, I am using windows xp with 256 MB Ram.
What I tried was copying the files from my pc and pasting it in the music folder using the file explorer...!! and it worked fine...!! but now, if I need to set a message tone as one of those songs {from profiles-general-message tone} none of those songs appear in the default list...which I think it should...
Is it because I transfered the music the other way and not using the Music manager? and is there a fix or any other way that u can think of being able to see those transfered song in the default list to be able to choose them as a message tone?

  • IPhone 8.3 music app shuts down when I try to open it

Since updating to 8.3, both my iPhone 6+ and my iPad 3 will not play music from my playlists.  The music app shuts down and reverts to the home screen each time I try to play music.

I went to Genius Bar in an attempt to resolve this issue.  They suggested putting my device into restore mode while connected to my computer and restoring the software.  This did NOT resolve the problem.  It now appears that it is only the "Recently Added" play list that shuts down the music app on both my iPhone and iPad.  If I play from any of my other playlists, the problem doesn't occur.

  • Nokia Music Manager shuts down immediately after o...

Hi again, the music manager still shuts down straight away even after i've uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version. I have no idea why!
    pc suite version: version 6.83.14.1
    connectivity cable drivers: 6.83.9.0
    solution : 7.7.10.0
Right now I'm unable to upload or organise any music because it shuts down immediately.
    Thanks

Your best solution is to use some other tool to rip the music, then use File Transfer (USB mass storage) to drag and drop. It's much faster than using PC Suite.
i-Tunes allows you also to rip into AAC (m4a) and that works with N91.
I've tested WMP 9 and WMP10 (now beta testing WMP11) and they all work differently but work with N91 (both WMA and MP3 formats)
WInamp also rips into formats that are supported in N91.
If you don't want to pay for the encoder, use Audiograbber. It's great for Mp3
Is there a reason why you want to use Nokia Music Manager?

  • Trying to access iTunes Store shuts down iTunes

When I try to access the itunes store from my laptop it says "iTunes has stopped working". I have been through the discussion board and saw a few similar questions and tried their solutions and it still has not worked for me.
    I have a HP G42 laptop running windows 7
    I have iTunes 10.5.3 installed
My anti virus software is Norton 360 and I added iTunes to be allowed
I changed the pop-up blocker settings
Is there anything else I can do to fix this?

    hiya!
you've got a standard 32-bit version. the x64 version has an "x64" mentioned in that screen. for a little more info on that, see:
    http://www.ittvis.com/services/techtip.asp?ttid=4040
i was checking, because the error message you were getting was very similar to one folks can get if they've got a problem with their QuickTime on an x64 PC. itunes needs a functioning QT to work correctly, and a broken QT can cause problems with viewing the Music Store too.
try to open your QuickTime. does it launch properly, or do you get an error message?
if you get an error message, the first thing we'll try is a careful standalone QT 7.1 reinstall.
download and save a copy of the QT 7.1 standalone installer to your hard drive. (we'll run the install from there rather than online.) switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the install.
    Quicktime 7.1 Standalone Installer
if that install goes through okay, does your itunes launch properly again?
(if you get an error message on the QT standalone reinstall, let us know what it says. include error message numbers if you're getting any.)
    love, b

  • IMac randomly shuts down still

Just bought this iMac a little over a week ago. The genius told me to immediately update everything, I did and it still shuts down on me. Any ideas?

Welcome to Discussions - Exactly which model did you buy? If everything shuts down, I would take it back and ask for another one, there's something obviously wrong. And make sure that when you get a machine that works, you get Apple Care with it.

  • Macbook pro 2.33ghz shuts down still after new battery.

I recently got a new battery for my macbook pro because it was randomly shutting down when not connected to power. The Genius's said the problem was the battery separating from the aluminum or battery warping. Anyway, that didn't seem to fix the problem and I have since had problems with the computer shutting down without warning when not connected to power. So I took it back to the genius's who kept it for 24 hours to run some tests which turned out no useful info. The Genius then suggested a clean install of leopard to see if that would solve the issue. I have since done the clean install of Leopard and still have the shutting down issue. Any idea of what the problem could be? The genius did mention the logic board as one possibility. I think that is like $800-$900. Anyone have any less expensive ideas? I'm not sure it is worth replacing if the problem is the logic board and it costs that much...
Oh yeah, one other symptom: my fans are constantly running at 6000rpm with one or no apps running. Even right now after a restart and just running safari they are running at 6000rpm.
Thanks in advance. Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

You might want to run the Apple Hardware test--the fact that your fans are running all out may indicate that your thermal sensors aren't working or may be disconnected. So you might well get an SNS type error. Run the extended version. If you do get one or more error codes, that would be a more specific indication of what the problem is. It is way too easy to just blame the logic board--best to try some troubleshooting first.
I'm wondering if a malfunction of the thermal sensors might make the Mac think it was too hot and might be shutting it down to prevent it from damaging itself? Maybe that's also why the fans are running so fast? It's just a theory, but the fix should be cheaper than a logic board. And the AHT should be able to find something like this.
    Good luck!

  • After IOS 8.3 update my music app shuts down everytime I try to open it!!!!!I

i Just updated my iphone 6 to the new IOS 8.3 software and now everytime I try to open my music app it shuts down inmediately!!! It never happend before the IOS UPDATE

  • OVI store shutting down automatically within a min...

I have version 2.08.042 of OVI stores installed in my device N8. Since last 10days when I am trying to download from OVI stores, I am getting a message "Unable to retrieve My Stuff list" and could not monitor the progress of the downloading. I contacted Nokia support (case ID is 1-11728845968) and on their guidance I have downloaded the OVI stores again through link store.ovi.mobi. And, now after downloading, my OVI stores application shutting down automatically within a minute after logging in.  Again I took the matter to the notice of support centre.  In the mean time,  can anybody help me in resolving the above problems. My first problem not resolved and I am stuck with a new one.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Yes. The support centre come back to me with a solution to take the Phone to nearest nokia care. Is this a solution??? When lot of members are posting the same problem, definitely this is a software problem which is to be sorted out through software patches/updates only.  Anyway, let me find out a time to contact Nokia care centre and come back to you.

  • App Store shutting down

For a few days now, when I start up the 'App Store', it happens after a few minutes the program just shuts down due to a problem. I can restart, but whatever I was downloading at that moment, has to restart downloading all over.
    Pretty annoying...
    Any help on this?

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
    Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar.
Enter the name of the crashed application or process in the Filter text field. Select the messages from the time of the last crash, if any. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
    Step 2
In the Console window, look under User Diagnostic Reports for crash reports related to the crashed process. The report name starts with the name of the process, and ends with ".crash". Select the most recent report and post the entire contents — again, the text, not a screenshot. In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.) Please don’t post shutdownStall, spin, or hang logs — they're very long and not helpful.

  • Subject: HP Pavillion zd8000 shutting down still after full cleaning

Like many my screen has a bunch of lines on it, but recently it started shutting down after 5 minutes of operation or so on top of that. The battery hasn't worked in years and the LED on the A/C adapter wasn't on, so we bought a new A/C adapter. Still shut down. I tore it apart to clean it, sure enough it was filthy. Now it's nice and clean inside and STILL shutting down. HELP!

Do you still have the "lines" on screen? You probably need to replace the graphics card. Did it just shutdown or you have a blue screen?

  • ITunes Music Store Slow Down

Since upgrading to the latest version of iTunes and Tiger 10.4.7, whenever I try to access the Music Store I see the progress bar with the "accessing music store" message for several minutes. It does eventually load, but everthing in the store is slow. Podcasts also download painfully slow. And it's not a bandwidth thing, I am on a cable modem and the windows box next to me accesses iTunes just fine. Safari, web downloads, and evrything else on the web still accesses as fast as it used to. Can anyone help? Apple?

I've also found all aspects of the Store extremely sluggish since upgrading to 6. Previews and radio streams constantly getting rebuffered (even with the cache set to "Large"), single track downloads taking 5 minutes or more, and searches taking 30 seconds or longer. It makes browsing & purchasing music on iTunes completely impractical and I've since given up my one track a day purchasing habit, probably for the better.
I've found this sluggishness to exist both on my university's campus (T1 Lines) and my home DSL line.
