Music store will not work

When I open iTunes everything will work fine. But when I click on the music store an error message comes up that says "iTunes could not connect to the Music Store. An unknown error occured (403).
Make sure your network connection is active and try again."
The only major change I can think of is I just added Avast! (a security program) to my computer. I have reinstalled iTunes and added the reccommed pages to Avast!'s acceptable list.
Any help would be appreciated

Dont worry about this. It didn't work for around one week. Then I restarted (I had done this before) and it suddenly worked. Thank you for your views though

App Store Failure / Updates White Screen
Tap Settings > General > Date and Time > Set Automatically > Off. Set the date one year ahead. Then try to access the App Store.
It may be a connection issue. Try changing your DNS settings to Google’s open DNS by tapping Settings > Wi-Fi >, tap the blue arrow next to your current Wi-Fi network, and then tap the “DNS” field and enter the DNS servers; 8.8.8.8 (Google’s Public DNS, 8.8.4.4 also alternate).

My iTunes opens and plays music but the store will not work

I can't get my itunes store to work. The application for itunes will open but it won't show anything and says "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes store. Anm unknown error occorred (306) Make sure your network connection is avtive and try again." All my other applications work but it is only the itunes store doesn't work and it making me really angry. Could someone please help me??

You can only sync with one iTunes library/computer. To switch:

ITunes Music Store will not allow me to connect

I have been trying to connect to the music store since I got my iPod last week. I have been using iTunes for a long time and I have always been able to connect to the store. When I installed the new software that came with my iTunes the store stopped working. I have stopped all anti virus, firewalls, security and anything else that has been recommended in other posts. I opened windows/system32/drivers and that was not the problem. I contacted apple and they gave me troubleshooting problems that didn't work, as I've tried them a million times. I also pinged phobos.apple.com and it says connection timed out 4 times and said information lost. So I don't know what else to do. I have windows xp with sevice pack 2 (which had been ruled out as the problem, I gurantee it), norton security (not the problem, I've disabled it and iTunes is allowed, nor is windows firewall the problem) and I can connect to the internet. The specific error message I am getting is iTunes cannot connect to the music store, network connection has been reset. make sure your network connections are active and try again. I just got a giftcard and I want to use it....any suggestions that aren't already all over every thread in the discussions?

I would first check your firewall settings, as well as your security software to make sure they are not blocking the Store connection.

E75 Music Player will not work

App store will not work on phone

Just had an issue on one of my iphone 4's. When selecting the app store icon on the phone it says itunes is not installed on this computer. Never seen this happen before but the only thing that seems to work is the updates tab which when you try to update it says cannot connect to the itunes store. The phone is connected via wifi so that is not the problem. Everything else works fine on the phone. Anyone have any ideas what to do? I just updated to 4.2 hoping that will fix the problem but no go.

to be honest these are the solutions that may or may not work..
first thing I would try is rebooting the phone by holding the sleep/wake button and home button for 15 seconds until you see the white apple logo
if that doesn't work I would restore from backup and if that doesn't work I would restore as new if all else fails take it to your closest apple store they may replace the phone for a working one..

Music Store URL not working

Hi, my podcast just got approved but I edited the XML feed to include episode album art (which didn't show up) and now the music store URL won't work (it says it's not available in the US store). When I search for my podcast, however, it's still there.
How can I make changes to submitted feeds without messing up the URL? Thanks.

I think I am having a similar problem. I edited my xml document to include a new episode. I copied and did everything verbatim, but not the itunes store won't find the URL for the new episode.

Music store is not working.

Every time I try to get into the music store, this message appears:
"iTunes could not connect to the music store.
Make sure your network connection is active and try again."
I tried the c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc. thing but that didn't work.
I have not altered anything or deleted any programs since I got the computer. That was a long time before I even thought about getting an Ipod. What really confuses me is that it was working just fine till about a month ago when it suddenly decided to quit.

Usually, it has something to do with your firewall/router setup.
Did you install anything or mess with the settings recently?

TV Shows from iTunes Music Store will not sync with my iPod

I have a video iPod (5th Generation). I just downloaded some videos from the iTunes music store and they will not sync with the iPod. I get the message "...some videos cannot be played on this iPod."
The error log says that the videos are not in a supported video format. How can that be? I purchased these from the music store.

ITunes 6 Music Store account not working with iTunes 7 Music Store - help!

I have an account with both the apple site (for here) and for the itunes music store (and i have a current credit card on my account). when I upgraded to itunes 7, it says i do not have an account now....even tho it says to use your apple login (which i've always used to download things from itunes music store), it comes back and says i have no account....
why is this happening? is this a bug? if you have to recreate the account, shouldn't they have said something oremailed something to tell me that/????

login to apple's myinfo page and see what your actual Apple ID is. You have to enter whatever your Apple ID is into iTunes when you try to sign in.

Ok.......... I tried to download music from the music store, but this message came up "iTunes could not connect to the Music Store. The Network connection has timed out. Make sure your network settings are correct andyour network connection is active, then try again."

Can someone help me, i dont want to start a new thread as i usre this could be a common problem.
Ok so when i launch the itunes store (windows) i can able to search manually in the field in the top right but i cant click on any of the links in the muic store homepage.
Its quite fustrating as I have to type in manually the name of the song or artist as oppose to browsing in the store.
Has anyone else experienced this? I tried to re install it but that didnt have any effect. PS This has only started happening within the last week or so. What could it be?

Itunes and App Store will not work.

I recently got my version 10.6.4 Macbook Pro repaired. When I got my Macbook Pro back, I needed to reinstall the applications using the disk which originally came with the purchase of my Macbook Pro.
After doing this though, all of the applications worked, however iTunes and the App Store do not.
The App store application had a question mark over the icon and when I clicked on it, nothing happened.
iTunes has a signal over the icon and when I press on it to open a message pops us saying - "You have Mac OS X 10.6.4. The application requires Mac OS X 10.6.8 or later."
Please can you help with these issues?

Click your apple >> software updates. Keep doing updates until there are none left. That should take you back to 10.6.8.
