Music Store Won't Come Up

I try to get onto the music store, but nothing happens. The little bar at the top just keeps doing the little moving diagonal lines thing, and it never stops. No pop up message or anything, nothing.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I was able to access the music store until about
three days ago, and then iTunes wasn't able to access
the internet, for store or song info purposes. I
didn't adjust any internet or firewall settings, and
i am not having connection problems with any other
program. I have reinstalled iTunes using the repair
feature, but that did not solve the problem.
same problem here, any luck yet?

  • ITUNES music store won't open

After doing a clean install on my mac mini, the only problem is with ITunes.  The music store won't open, states to make sure my internet connection is open and active, which it is.

The iTunes store seems to be stuggling a bit today under the weight of demand. Uninstalling itunes and installing won't help. Use patience, try later...
Why would you delete your songs?

  • My iTunes Music Store Won't Work

My iTunes music store won't work. Ever since I tried upgrading my iTunes, the music store cannot connect. I don't think it is the iTunes itself because I have talked to people and theirs is working fine. Mine worked until I tried to update it. I tried to re-upgrade it but it still won't work.

It's working for me now. If it's working for you too then ignore the next step else go ahead and give it a try.
I uninstalled quick time and then itunes.
Restarted the machine and re-installed the latest update.
    This works! Good luck.

  • Music Store won't open after my newest upgrade

    Hi!
I downloaded the newest upgrade of iTunes and now my Music Store stuff won't work. I didn't change any login information, etc. What is going on????? Please email me at [email protected], if you'd like. Also, please feel free to answer this like I'm a total moron. I'm not good with technical terms, etc., so I won't be offended if you do. LOL.

'The network connection timed out' can have many causes.
iTunes can't connect to the Music Store after having tried for a number of times.
This document describes a number of possible causes and fixes:
iTunes Music Store: "Cannot connect to the Music Store" error
What happens if you try to connect to the Music Store from within Safari?
Go to this page http://www.apple.com/itunes/ and command-click on one of the songs in the 'Top 10 Songs' pane.
Safari will attempt to open the link in a new tab, but as it is a link to the Music Store, it will open iTunes and go to the Store.
If you use another browser, you can normaly control-click a link and choose to open it in a new tab or new window.

  • Music Store won't accept my account information

I have a music store account, recently I changed credit card information, now when I try to purchase music, iTunes says I have changed my information and need to update billing info. Then I get into an endless loop where I enter my password, and the system rejects it, I use the screen prompt to change password, but the billing information is never OK.
I can't buy any tunes...does this mean I have to go back to CD's?

  • Music Store won't load, Anyone Else?

I can launch iTunes, import CDs, burn CDs, and basically use iTune for anything else but I can't access iTunes Music Store, My account, download podcasts. Obviously I can get on the web because I'm posting this. I can go to any other web page access my bank, credit accounts, etc. It's been this way for over 24 hours now and I'm getting a bit frustrated with Apple.
Just wanted to know if anyone else is experiencing this. I'm located in the Northeast but have never had this kind of trouble before.

you are not alone...well i am experiencing the same damned thing.
get error message -9807 ("itunes could not connect to the music store, an unexpected error has occurred. make sure your network connection is active and try again") which NONE of the apple documentation seems to have heard of, i am still waiting for them to get back to me. of course its active or else i would not be able to post this message o nthe forum!!! Doh!!!.
have uninstalled and reinstalled itunes, deleted the plist and prefs files, restarted the mac (i run 10.4.5) and this has not made a blind bit of difference.
am going to go to the apple store in the west end before the end of the week and see if they can shed any light on this. i can get access to internet, personal baanking, etc, but teh itunes thing is perplexing me.
have been trying to figure it out for 2 days straight staying up til 4-5am not a thing i have tried has made a difference. even deleted my airport settings, and then got assistance in re-establishing them, still no joy.
only thing i can think of is that the ISP (onetel) has done something, or the update to 10.4.5 has done something to render no access to the store. i can play snippets of the tracks and play the tracks i have already downloaded but cannot log in and cannto download new tracks. cannot de-authorise my mac either. my tower pc (xp) and my laptop (xp) can access the store fine. i can log in very happily. prior to the 10.4.5 update all was working fine. i have even checked that the port 3689 that allows traffic to and from the store is enabled on the mac and it is through the mac's own firewall. everything else works...boooohooohoooo!!!
    please apple, SORT IT OUT!!!!

  • Music Store Lock-Up

My iTunes works fine except the Music Store. It starts to load and stops just short and sits...and sits...and nothing. It started to happen when I downloaded the latest version of iTunes...never happened before that. I've tried to close and restart the program AND my computer. Nothing works. How can I buy music if the music store won't open?
    Please fix!!!

  • I can't connect to itunes music store ..

my music store won't work. for a few weeks now i've been getting an error message saying "Itunes could not connect to the Music Store. An unknown error has occured [-3221]." i've redownloaded itunes && the first few times the store worked but now nothing is working.
    windows xp   Windows XP

It will help if you post details, Alex; iTunes and QuickTime versions, exact Windows version (incuding service packs) , how you connect to the Internet, and exactly what's happening (i.e. you can't get to the iTMS at all, you can get there but tracks won't download, any error messages, etc). It's really difficult to offer much in the way of advice without full information.
And please, stay with this thread; don't post "me too" post in other people's threads. It just makes it very difficult to deal with several people at once. Stick here and I'm sure folks will try to help out.

  • Itunes won't connect to the music store

my itunes will not connect to the music store. i have re-installed itunes, and followed the instructions here: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=304084 but nothing has worked so far. in addition to that, itunes won't recognize the names and tracks of any of me cds that i try to upload to my itunes library. i am on a college campus and can see all of the people on my shared network and listen to music so i have no idea what the problem is. it hasen't worked since sunday night.

my school limited the bandwidth and itunes timed out by the time it would ever connect...

  • Can the Music Store come to Singapore?

i was wondering if the Music store can come to Singapore? Because there is a few Albums i want to buy. So ya are you coming to Singapore?

This has been asked and answered here dozens of times, but again, music, movie and video content in the iTunes Store will come to other countries when Apple can work out all the multitude of licensing, copyright and royalty issues with all the various entities that hold the distribution rights in your country, along with any legal and infrastructure issues that might arise. When or indeed if that will happen, no one outside of Apple can say, if even they know, and Apple won't speak to the subject until they're ready to officially announce. Anything anyone here could say would be just rumor and speculation, and neither are allowed in the Communities.
Sorry, but we'll all just have to wait and see what happens.
    Regards.

  • My iTunes Store on IPhone comes up with an error ([newNullResponse]). It is just on the music tab, tv shows and movies tab works fine. I have tried restarting phone, closing app, turning my account off and on. What is the problem I need help?!!!!

My iTunes Store on iPhone comes up with an error [newNullResponse] always when I click the music tab. The movies and tv shows tab works fine. I have tried everything from restarting my phone to turning my account off and on.

Try a different cable and a different charger. If neither fixes it you probably need a new battery. Apple will replace it for $80 in the US; I don't know what the charge is in other locations.
