Music Sync + Playlist ERROR

Here's my details:
Torch 9800
Desktop Software for Mac 10.6.6
Everything worked fine before I started using Desktop Software to sync my music. I can add any songs on my BB to any exisiting / new playlist.
Eversince I use Desktop Manager to sync my music, if i want to add my new music that i bought from Amazon MP3,  i keep getting error messages: "This song is not in your desktop muic. Only songs from your desktop are permitted in this playlist".  Yes i have copied the songs to my iTunes.
I also noticed the sync is also syncing one way "Computer => Phone", not a 2-way sync.
Hope there will be a fix for this soon!
Cheers,
Andre

halo there,
i have the solutions for you, backup all your file on memory card, and then Format you memory card from your BB.
you will be able to add song again to playlist.

  • Is there a way to auto sync playlists while manually managing your music?

I used to use WMP11 before I bought an iPod and used iTunes, and in that I was able to auto sync playlists to my Samsung dap, as well as being able to manually drag tracks/albums to it.
Since using iTunes, I have found it is not as accessible in this regard. Of course, you can opt to manually manage your music, but if you do this, it does not auto sync any info. This means that if I drag a playlist to my iPod and alter it at a later stage by adding more tracks, it won't alter it on the iPod unless I manually replace it with the amended one. It also means that any ratings that I set on my iPod do NOT get transfered to the tracks in iTunes when connected.
What I have done is set a playlist called 'iPod Tracks' in iTunes, and have dragged any extra albums to my iPod using that, as well as the smart playlist 'Top Tracks'. But the disadvantage of this is, if I drag a few songs from an album into my 'iPod Tracks' playlist, then later decide I want the whole album and drag that over, I end up with two of the same tracks in the playlist, which makes it look very untidy (although I am aware only one of each track will be on the iPod) so it is not ideal.
Surely there must be a way to auto sync playlists so that when you amend them in iTunes it does so on the iPod too, as well as manually drag over any extra tracks/albums you want without having a messy playlist work-around like I have done.
    Any help/ideas?
    Thanks in advance.

There is no way to sync content back to itunes. As you are aware there are a couple of unsupported ways to recover your content, you will need to decide if your content is valuable enough to go down this route.
If so and you are not comfortable with the procedures, I suggest taking the unit to a data recovery specialist with mac experience.

Something has changed on my iPod. When I sync it now it scrambles music between playlists. So, I will be listening to my jazz playlist when suddenly holiday music from another playlist is there. When I go to iTunes, however, the playlist is as it should be--jazz in the jazz playlist, holiday music in the holiday music playlist. I have two iPods--one is syncing properly while the older one is not. Any thoughts?

You are currently managing your music manually. You can either sync or manage the music manually, not both. If you want to sync, all the music currently on your phone will be erased and replaced with whatever you decide to sync to it.

I upgraded to iTunes 11.0. My iPod Nano 4th Version will sync, but music and playlists will not appear to manage and add more songs. Is there a fix?

If I go from 'Devices' to Summary and then Music, I only get one option-Sync Music,There is a box on this page but the options within it are grayed out. If I tick the Sync Music option I get this message-
'Are you sure you want to remove existing music, films, ect, from this ipod and sync with this itunes library?
'Music synced to (my ipods name) from other itunes libraries will be removed and items will be synced from this itunes library' I have only ever used itunes on this PC and the 'Manually manage music and videos' is ticked but
that must be a default setting as I haven't ticked it.

  • Ipod error message on syncing playlists! HELP!

Songs on your ipod cannot be updated because all of the playlists selected for syncing no longer exist.
I get this message when my iTunes opens when connecting my iPod Mini.
I don't have very much memory on my iMac so that might be why.
    Someone please help me!

You get this problem when the option 'Sync Music - Selected playlists' is being used to sync your iPod and then the playlist it has been updating from is deleted. Most people use this setting when the iPod is smaller than the iTunes library. If your library is larger than the capacity of your iPod, iTunes by default makes a new playlist called something along the lines of "Owner's iPod". If you for any reason delete it, you will not be able to sync your iPod.
Open iTunes and create a playlist to update your iPod from, call it -iPod to make it the first playlist in Sources. You can make this a normal playlist and drag whatever you want to it or you can make it a random Smart playlist. If you are making a smart playlist limit it to just less than the size of your iPod (for example 3700MB for a 4G iPod Mini). Now connect your iPod and when it appears in the Source list click on the iPod icon to bring up the preference tabs in the main pane. Go to the Music tab and choose Sync Music and the Selected playlists radio button. Choose the playlist you just made from the selection and click Apply. You can also sync from any existing playlists by choosing the same setting:

  • I want to download specific music to my IPad so i can access it offline.  Sync with iOS 8is not putting the music or playlists I have chosen on my computer onto my iPad.

I want to download specific music to my IPad so I can access it off line.  I have iOS 8 on my Mac mini and my pad.  The artists, albums and playlists I have selected to sync on my Mac mini do not show up on my iPad.  I am involved in international volunteer work and have periods where I don't have Internet access.

    Hello there, Wldsurfinslovakia.
The following Knowledge Base article offers up the steps on how to sync music, including playlists to your iOS device:
Managing content manually on iPhone, iPad, and iPod
    https://support.apple.com/kb/ht1535
Configure iPhone, iPad, or iPod for manual management
To manually manage the content, follow these instructions:
Connect the device to your computer.
    Open iTunes.
Select your iPhone, iPad, or iPod. If your device isn't visible in the upper right corner of the screen, choose Library.
Click the Summary tab and select "Manually manage music and videos."
    Click Apply.
Even when you enable manual management, you can still sync some content automatically. Select the iTunes U, Podcasts, Photos, or Info tab to enable automatic syncing for that content.
Manually add or remove content on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod
After following the steps above, you can add individual songs, videos, and playlists from iTunes to your device. To add content to your device:
    Select your device.
    Click "On this Device."
Then choose "Add to" in the upper right corner.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Pedro.

  • I want all my music and playlists to sync on all my devices.

So I want all my music and playlists to sync on all my devices. I'm not sure if I do not have the correct options checked or what. I have an iPhone 5, a PC, a laptop and a tablet and I would like to make it so that if I make changes on one device it affects everything. I have an active iTunes match subscription but I'm not sure if that's the issue. So like if I buy a song new song on my iPhone and I add it to an existing playlist or create a new one, I want it to be the same way or update on all my devices and vice versa. Like I currently have a playlist that I created on my phone and I would like it to sync to all my computers but it will not for some reason. Also, when I plug my phone into my computer (whether it be my PC or laptop) that I have purchases and what not that are not present on said device and would I like to transfer...but then it can only be synced to one library? I just want all my libraries to become one and sync together. Can anyone help me with this? I consider myself to be incredibly technologically challenged. Thanks in advance for your time!

    Hi,
If you have iTunes match enabled, you should be to change playlists on your iPhone and also turn on automatic downloads on all devices
iTunes Store: How to enable Automatic Downloads
iTunes Match on iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Manual sync is not available when match is turned on and in any event the sync is one way - PC to iOS devices.
Do you keep your actual files on your PC's hard drive?
    Jim

  • Desktop Manager Music Sync Error

Whenever I sync my music to my Blackberry Torch 9800 with Desktop Manager, I keep getting an error. It never used to happen until one day I tried to sync my music and an error occurs after about half the songs were put on to the device. I tried many times after that, also uninstalling and reinstalling Desktop Manager and still didn't work. Please Help...

All I know is the error window was very vague. It said something like an error occured during the sync process.

  • Need help syncing a music video playlist to my iPad.

    Hello,
I am having trouble syncing a music video playlist from iTunes onto my iPad2. This playlist works fine on my iPod touch (3rd gen) but on the iPad it shows up as an audio playlist only with the videos going to the video icon; they all work but a playlist can't be made from this location. I have made sure that all the video files are saved as "music video" and not "movie", I'm not sure what else to try, any suggestions would greatly appreciated.
    thanks,

Cool, I love watching videos on the treadmill too. BTW, if you want to watch videos with ads in them (DVB recordings, for example), there's an article on exactly this subject (how you can easily skip ads when watching videos on the treadmill) at http://www.iphonelife.com/blog/87/fast-forward-ad-skipping-best-video-players
Back to the subject: the following 3rd party players support playlists:
MoliPlayer http://itunes.apple.com/app/mo-li-shi-pin-bo-fang-qi-moliplayer/id503831696?mt=8 : Partial (you can use your own, freely definable genres)
Falcon Player and Downloader Pro for iPad http://itunes.apple.com/app/falcon-player-downloader-pro/id489381002?mt=8 : Partial: only one, global playlist
LuberPlayerHD http://itunes.apple.com/app/luberplayerhd/id476781603?mt=8 : (Pretty straightforward to use)
PlugPlayer http://itunes.apple.com/app/plugplayer-for-ipad/id363482186?mt=8 : Partial: only one, global playlist
HD Player Pro http://itunes.apple.com/app/hd-player-pro/id429610228?mt=8 4.0 (used to be ATK Player by Khoa Tran Anh): + (add /edit playlist under Playlists tab; selected playback works)
Oplayer HD by olimsoft http://itunes.apple.com/app/oplayer-hd/id373236724?mt=8 : + (last-but-one + icon in every row after creating a playlist in the second item from the top in the top left main menu)
BUZZ Player HD by BUGUN Software http://itunes.apple.com/app/buzz-player-hd/id389744550?mt=8 : + (move via Edit > select the item(s) > arrow icon)
Movie Player – Plays any Video! by Dominic Rodemer http://itunes.apple.com/app/id406779775?mt=8 2.0.2: Partial (very rudmentary: no separate playlists, only one, global one)
Azul Media Player - Video player for your iPad By Gplex http://itunes.apple.com/app/azul-media-player-video-player/id404452499?mt=8 3.5: Partial (very rudimentary: no separate playlists, only one, global one)
yxplayer by mobilesoft.kr http://itunes.apple.com/app/yxplayer/id373751560?mt=8 1.5.2: Partial (just a global one)
RushPlayer http://itunes.apple.com/app/rushplayer/id452990487?mt=8 1.4.5: Partial (just a global one)
Of them, I recommend BUZZ Player HD by BUGUN Software the most - it's a decent all-rounder, albeit there certainly are better players (for example, It's Playing, AVPlayerHD / ProPlayer, GoodPlayer etc. - too bad none of these supports playlists) with more efficient video decoders for some formats.

how can i sync all my music and playlists from my iphone to my new computer

Yes.  You can sync everything that is currently on your iPod Touch to your newer one. Just plug it in and sync it like you did with the old one.
If you want to retain your App data, see this article for information on backing up your current iPod Touch and restoring the backup onto a new one.
