Music synced and disappeared
My itunes is screwed up and lost all its music. i had some music that was formerly on the computer on my Ipod Touch when it lost all of the music. I tried to sync some apps back on to the computer from the touch and it transferred fine, but when i tried to sync music, it disappeared off the touch AND the computer. Now i have 5 Gigabytes of lost music and video and no way of finding it. Anyone know how to recover it? PLEASE, I'M DESPERATE!

IPod Touch stops syncing and disappears from iTunes
I have a problem with an iPod Touch 8GB: when connecting it to a MacBook, it starts syncing and transferring songs, but after a while it just stops syncing and disappears from iTunes. The iPod will still show "sync in progress", and it will still show up in the System Profiler, but not in iTunes.
If I cancel the sync from the iPod, the song library will be inaccessible ("Cancelling sync" or whatever it says) until I unplug the USB cable. If I keep trying (by unplugging and re-plugging it in), it will eventually finish syncing all songs, but it takes ages that way.
I have tried 2 different USB cables and upgraded to firmware 1.1.5 (it was 1.1.4 before). Any ideas?I have upgraded to 2.0.1 and the latest itunes as of today and still have the exact same issue. I have even tried the following with no luck :
1. Restart the ipod after this occurs and then sync again.
2. Deleted my entire list of Music and Videos from itunes and reloaded them back.
3. Formatted and Reinstalled Windows and tried syncing again.
Thanks to this issue, i dont even have a single song or Video on my ipod....

Is it possible: Music synced and movies not?
I have 80GB iPod. So my desire is to "store" movies on iPod (my computer's harddisk space is not big enough for that) and at the same time keep the music synced with iTunes. Is there a sollution for this? I've tried to have only music checked for syncing but if I add movies through Floola to iPod it turns the auto-sync off. When i sync it again in iTunes (I've tried to click only on the music sync) it syncs everything and deletes movies I added through Floola.
Any ideas?
PC Windows XPyes i need to do this too - is there any way to sync music and NOT videos?

Ipod not syncing
I tried to burn 2 cd's worth of music and two things happened:
1. 1st CD synced with my Ipod, but only as an album (touch 2nd gen) but, disappeared from itunes.
2. 2nd CD appears in my library but will now sync to my ipod
I have space left and am not at the 4GBgb limit.
Any help would be appreciated.I have the same problem with my 2nd gen itouch.
I've tried other computer and my childrens iPods work on my computer so not a windows problem. I've tried reinstalling iTunes and resetting itouch as per apple support pages but nothing, it doesn't even show on my computer. Any help greatly appreciated :-) -
When i sync my ipod, i have noticed on the left hand side, under devices, my ipod, when i click on music, some of the songs are grey, and the others are black. The ones which are grey have a round circle with two arrows in. These are the ones which havent copied onto my ipod. I had no problem before until recently and all of a sudden! Can anyone please help me sort this out so that all my music will transfer onto my ipod, i have been trying for over a week!
Never mind, the problem just fixed itself when i searched for an artist that wasn't there. That was odd.

Apple TV purchase won't sync and disappeared
I purchased a movie two nights ago on my gen 1 Apple TV, watched it, and it would not sync with iTunes account and now it no longer appears on the Apple TV? Anyone else have this problem and a fix?

Ovi Suite+5800XM Stop Music Sync and marked as ful...
Hi, i have windows 7 on this computer,and from some weeks the windows mark my 5800 XpressMusic as a full device,no space in phone and no space in memory card...
The Ovi Suite says the real space i have in my phone but i can't syncronize the music playlist...
What can i do? Don't tell me to format phone and memory because after i use formatted phone for some time...it happen again(tryed)...
All time the Suite give me the classic error with "no" information about it...

There is enough spacde on my phone. It is the exact same itunes library because i saved all my music before i reinstalled windows. So i just put all the music back onto itunes. It asked me if i wanted to erase and sync because it was a "new computer" and i said yes because it is all the same music so it should just re sync all the same stuff. But it wont do it. It just keeps saying there is not enough space on the phone, and my phone has 5 GB left on it.
Maybe iTunes is calculating it like this:
5 GB left, but if you sync your music (from the new PC) to it it will be full. It's maybe syncing the new content and then deleting the old music.
Try this: Deselect "Music-Syncing" and let him delete the music from your iPhone. (the other stuff, photos, cal, contacts should stay untoucht if you don't deselect it) After iTunes deleted the music from your iPhone (by letting the other stuff untouched) try to reselect "Music-Syncing" and iTunes will sync your music to your iPhone. -

The problem is when I open music sync and select Options, it doesn't come up. Which is why I'm guessing music sync doesn't work for me. I've enabled the debug log and this is what it shows.

The error message I get on my PC is "The ITunes library file cannot be saved" An unknown error occurred (-50)and my music library has disappeared. I recently tried to copy a CD to my library - it appeared to copy ok but then did not appear in my music library. The library does not show up even when my iPad is connected to my PC. My entire library is now held on my iPad and I wish to have it in iTunes so I can sync my iPhone to it as well. Help?
Don't know what changed today but it downloaded and installed on the shuffle. So far so good.

My music on iPhone disappeared when I synched my phone and computer. I uploaded all 32 CDs again to computer. It will not synch the music to iPhone. HELP
Some other things to verify:
On the summary tab of your iTunes sync settings check "Sync only checked songs and videos"
In your music library check all the songs you want to sync to your phone
Make sure there are no exclamation points next to any of the songs you want to sync to your phone
Be sure to authorize your computer for all Apple IDs used for any purchased music you want to sync to your phone (in Store>Authorize This Computer)
Then make sure you have checked Sync Music on the Music tab of your iTunes sync settings and sync your device. -
Will I b able to copy my music library from PC to I pad while sync and listen to it without sync at a remote place. Is it possible without iTunes Match?
Yes. As long as all your songs you lost have been Matched or Uploaded to iTunes Match you can download your entire library from the cloud.

I would like to be able to transfer several very long voice memos from my iPhone 4 to my PC. They are too long to email to myself. I manage music manually, so the phone doesn't sync automatically. I have also not checked off "include voice memos" in my music sync preferences because of a warning that pops up which suggests that I will lose all the music, video & audiobook content on my phone and that it will be replaced with all iTunes content. (Several of the audiobooks on my phone were transferred in directly from my library system's audiobook service & I will lose them permanently if they are wiped off the phone.) Is there a way around this? I am able to transfer photographs directly to my computer because my PC recognizes the iPhone as an external disk and I was able to locate the photo folder, but I have no idea of where to look for the voice memo folder in order to transfer them in the same manner. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

You are talking about the menu bar of Itunes, right?
Yes. With iTunes open the menu bar is at the top of your screen.
where exactly is the Store/synck you iphone option?
After you authorize the computer connect your iPhone then follow the instructions here > iOS: How to transfer or sync content to your computer
When you are done transferring the data to the desktop, right or control click the iPhone under Devices left side of the iTunes window then click Back Up.
That way you will have a backup just in case you need to restore your iPhone. -
i purchased two songs on my iphone and it did sync with itunes. Then i put the two new songs in a music folder and it won't sync the songs to the folder on my iphone. same phone same computer never had this problem before.
In iTunes, try signing out of your Apple ID & then back in: click on iTunes Store on the left sidebar of iTunes, click on your Apple ID on the top right, sign out, sign back in. Then try to sync your purchased music to your phone again.

Changing hex string display format
When a string control is in hex display format any data typed is displayed in groups of 2 bytes like AABB CCDD. Is there any way to display them in separate group of single bytes like AA BB CC DD?
