Music titles come up "gray"

HELP - I wanted to use a friends ipod on my computer, but when we plug in her ipod all the music titles are just gray and we can't click on them to play.
What kind of setting do I need to be on to "open" her ipod up?

The ipod has to be set for manual syncing.

That sounds like you've engaged one of the automatic syncing options for your nano.
Plug the nano in, and go into the Device screen for the nano in itunes. Is "manually manage ..." unchecked? If so, check the box for it, and click okay. Disconnect and reconnect the nano. Is the content on the nano able to be selected in your iTunes now?

How can I get rid of the display of the last played music-title
When playing a music-title the name of the title and it's progress is displayed in the box at the top of iTunes, even if the music is already stopped or ended. This display is impeding f.i. when copying music-albums to iPhones and watching the progress. Can anyone tell me please how to make the display of the last played music-title disappear?

Lost music titles after "Match" synchronizing

I have bought "Match" and synchronized two Mac's and an Iphone, some music titles have disappeard, mainly music made in private recordings, it was on all computers and iphone and now it is gone!!!

I miss this function especially for my classical music, because lots of pieces start with similar words. E.g.:

Scrolling in a list of title, I can't distinguish the titles, because just the first words are shown followed by: "...".

Or you could include a width to your body style:

It might work or not depending on your other color scheme.

All of the free music that comes with iMovie is suddenly missing. How do I get it back?

I wanted to start a new project in iMovie, and I realized all of the iLife music is gone. I'm not talking about my iTunes songs, which are all there. I'm talking about the free music that comes with iMovie/iLife. I used some of the music in a previous project, and that still plays, but I can't access the music anymore from the music tab.
The iLife sound effects are still there, but all the music is gone.
Please help.

See the following screenshot from GarageBand - firstly click on Apple Loops in the top right corner, then on Jingles in the listing of items that appear below that. You should now see all the Jingles in the panel at the bottom right of the window.

Music title ends immediate

When selecting a music-title from an album the title ends immediatly without playing the music and returns to the album.It looks like as if the iPhonne ist streaming the music to somewhre and ends a second after starting.
Sound of other Apps then music is ok.
The problem began after installing a bluethooth headset, which I have uninstalled in the meantime.

I have updated iTunes on my computer (Windows XP) several times over the last few years & now when I connect my iPod to the computer, I don't seem able to view my music titles / song lists. Anybody know why or how I can do this?
Now when I click on the iPod icon... I get a 'Summary' page, a 'Music' page with an option to 'sync' etc... but cannot see my music content on the iPod...
How (e.g.) can I delete or change content on my iPod??

In iTunes go File -> Library -> Organise Library -> Reorganise Library.
Then quit and restart iPhoto.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

Check other music download stores that provide service in Austria
Purchase the song on physical CD and rip it into your iTunes library
Place a request to the iTunes Request page

Rebooting will not make you lose any content. Rebooting is when you hold the home button and the sleep button down at the same time until the Apple logo appears on the screen.
You can these suggestions. One might work for you.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
